Everything is fine. My DH's job got in the way. We are still going on a cruise, we just might be going on one in September.

I'm so sorry to hear you won't be on this cruise. At least you'll be able to go in September.

sabrecmc - I've not been on the Dream, but I bet it's going to be like going to GF. DH and I both agree it just seems like the service on DCL is actually a notch above the resorts/parks. Just when you think it can't get any better - it does. Book Remy's - pricey, but I hear it's worth it. If they don't want to spend $$$ on Remy's I can vouch for Palo. We've always had wonderful service, great food and it has a romantic feel. Spa suite onboard AKA couples villa or couple's cabana massage at Castaway Cay's Serenity Bay. They have dedicated adult spaces with plenty to do onboard (dance parties, etc). Castaway Cay itself is gorgeous. Swimming is probably better at the family beach, but Serenity Bay is peaceful. Lots of snuggle areas for couples. Rent a bike and take the path down past Serenity Bay. Snuggle, photo op at the end. Sipping on a cocktail or glass of wine either on your balcony or on the top deck to watch the sunset (a lot of people are going to dinner so it's not so crowded).

Edited to add: For anyone interested...there is only one cabana left on Serenity Bay. Palo ressies available for parties of 1-2 people for brunch, high tea, and dinner. Lots of Remy ressies available. Booked parasailing on Castaway Cay for myself and DD8...let's hope that she'll go through with it!

Yay... we have booked our ADRs for pre-cruise WDW trip from Oct 5 - Oct 9. As Dvc members we can do segment dining so have decided to book Deluxe Dining plan for the 6th and the 7th which will give us 6 table meals each for the 3 full days we are there!

So our trip is as follows:
Oct 5 - arrive at MCO @ 8pm... get to SSR after 9pm... 2 bedroom til Oct 9
Oct. 6 - Lilo & Stitch Breakfast @ O'Hana, MNSSHP & Crystal Palace with Pooh
and friends for dinner
Oct 7 - Resort Day
Breakfast @ 1900 Park Fare, Dinner @ Whispering Canyon Lodge
Oct 8 - Animal Kingdom Day - Donald's Safari Breakfast, Dinner @ Raglan Road
Oct 9 - Oct 13Off to Port to board our 2nd Dream cruise!!!
Oct 13 - Fly home

Now all I have to do is survive 9 weeks of summer vacation ...

Great ideas, thanks! I'm definitely going to try for the massage on CC. This is their first cruise, so I have to wait until the lowly first-timer booking window opens. My family is gold at this point, so the waiting is killing me!

We segmented ours too (a nice perk of being DVC!)!! We are going to WDW after the cruise though...we're doing 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's, 50's Prime Time, Cape May, and Whispering Canyon, as well as Boma (we're staying at AKV).

I am SOOO ready for October to get here. We just found out today that our basset hound has Stage 3 heartworm disease--he's very sick and we are so worried about him. He's having trouble breathing and has a terrible cough. Poor baby.

Plus, today I had a mediation meeting with our school system over a discrimination complaint I filed on behalf of my 10 year old son (principal is completely ridiculous). Mediation went well but was stressful!

Between all of that, plus working my full time job, working part time at the Disney Store, and starting grad school in August, I am desperately in need of a vacation!!

That's probably what we'll end up doing. I remember last time, the boys and I went to eat lunch at PC, while Ron went to Rockin' Bar D to get our Palo reservations.

So, on the Dream we just go directly to Palo, or do they have us go to another location to get the reservation for brunch?

Are we going to be splitting up the FE list into two smaller ones or do they usually have one large one? Trying to budget for this.

Last time I did it, we just did one big one. I budgeted for it by just getting one gift per stateroom instead of one per person or dividing kids/adults. One per stateroom worked really well for us--we just picked something the whole family could use.
