Disney Dream January 3, 2012

You guys are going to have a great New Years! Are you taking the Dream from NYC to FL?

The Dream doesn't sail out of NYC, only Port Canaveral. We are, however, booked on the Magic out of NYC next August! Heading to Canada.....:thumbsup2

A meteor shower sounds like a fun thing to watch for. When we were in the Grand Canyon once, we had just gotten back into the car after watching the sunset and looked up to see a shooting star. Totally magical!

A meteor shower sounds like so much fun. :sail: Could anyone out there tell me if there is a midnight buffet every night or just on special nights. :confused3 Is anyone out there planning on doing any dancing? :dancer: sorry had to do it, too funny.

Big T :cool1:

There's usually a buffet on Pirate Night. On 7 day cruises, they do a dessert buffet one other night. Don't know if they do anything special on the 5 days.

Dancing? I can't but my husband is an excellent dancer. I may be able to hire him out to ladies who like to dance......he's very popular at weddings. :worship:

I'm told that they will start taking them down the evening of January 2 and finish up while in port before you all will be boarding.

My wife says bummer. She loves the Disney Christmas decor.

The tree will still be up at the GF on 12/31--so we'll get a little taste.

Take some pics, if you can.

Laura,

Do I hear a dance challange?
You tell Joe that he may have meet his match because I can cut quite a rug :rotfl2: I look forward to seeing Joe do his thing :rockband:

Thanks for the info on the buffet's. :yay:

Misty,
Sorry to hear about your grandfather, hope he is doing ok.

See everyone soon.

Do not know if we want to schedule a meet or not. Last cruise we did one right after the life boat drill. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Deb

Big T,

It's fine with me if you want to dance with Joe.....but he may have something to say about that!

Laura,

Not exactly what I meant , but thank you so much for your willingness to share. Don't worry, he is all yours :teeth:

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and a safe trip to the ship. We're leaving tomorrow for the NYE cruise and so will be on the ship already when you all get there.

A meet hasn't been arranged for this group as far as I can tell, but I will make a point to be in the Bon Voyage lounge at 2pm on January 3 in case anyone wants to come say hello. Otherwise, if anyone plans anything proper, please call our room, 9555, and leave a message as to where/when.

Hope to meet many of you -- looking forward to the FE exchange!

Wishing you safe travels! Our family will be at Boardwalk for NYE! Will look for you onboard. Elaine

Safe travels to you too Laura. We will be at SSR on New Years Eve. We can meet you in the Bon Voyage Lounge as I think we will be on board by then. Does anyone know when you find out what time they are picking you up at your hotel? The time was not in my cruise docs only the date.

Happy New Year to all and easy, safe travels!

We're crazy in the middle of Nutcracker performances for dd 7, but we're getting everything packed up and ready to go.

Can't wait to see the ship and our new Dis friends! (I'm not sure if we'll be at the lounge, but we'll stop in if we can).

A recent Dec. trip report said that no one showed up to the first 'college meet'. I hope this won't be the case on our Cruise as my son turns 18 on the first day.

Ulysse will be at the first night's college meets (Club 18*21), hoping to celebrate his 18th birthday with other young adults.

Looking forward to 2 great days on Castaway Cay and the waterpark at Atlantis.

Happy New Year's - great way to start 2012!!

Leaving this afternoon--even after stalking these boards for a year, I feel woefully unprepared!! I'm sure everything will work out fine--I'm just stressing a bit:eek: See y'all on board!!

I hope everyone arrives safe. I feel horrible for neglecting the FE. My grandfather passed away on December 27th. It will be a sad cruise just knowing he should have been here with us but a welcome break from the madness.

Misty

How was everyone's cruise? It went by waaaay too fast! So happy the weather warmed up later in the week.
