Disney Dream Inaugural Cruise 1/26/2011 Part 2

I have had a computer glitch of the worst kind...I was cleaning up stuff, and I deleted ALL my pictures from this cruise off my camera - well somehow they were deleted off my computer at the same time.

I have lost all my images, and my video clips...of the horn wars and my ride on the AquaDuck - if anyone else took a waterproof camera down the ride - please PM me...I would love a copy of the clip.

Somehow we never managed to get the mininavigator, the Dream pin or the Aquaduck fastpass(someone was nice enough to give my son theirs though-the fastpass). I guess I was too overwhelmed with seeing everything to get to the right spot on time. I wish I had been more organized because then I could have met more people. Had also intended to go to the clubs at night, but since my son did not go to his I didn't want to leave him by himself. Hopefully I can sail with some of you again.

Go to the video's section and you'll see trips down the Duck looking forwards and backwards, the Horn Battle, and most of the Pirate Evening show. The videos should be downloadable.

Oh No!!! What were the chances of that happening... and they did... to You! I'm so sorry. We didn't take many pictures. I hope you can get some of te shots you want from others!

Welcome home fellow cruisers!! We just got back into town yesterday afternoon after 5 days at WDW following the cruise (DH will post a review on that later). We greatly enjoyed cruising with everyone, and we are extremely thankful for all of the wonderful FE stuff and all of the hardwork that everyone put into the cruise!

We thought that the Dream was amazing, and that Disney did an excellent job with most of the things on the cruise! We are extremely pleased with all of the special stuff that Disney did to go above and beyond for this cruise!

Sadly we're no longer able to go on the West Coast Repo (due to work transfers and moving and what not), but we are now signed up for the last Alaska cruise, and we hope to see you there!

Welcome home, Sarah! Hope you and Clint had a nice time down here in the World - we're still here until next Wed. We thought we'd run into you at some point ;-)

It was good meeting you guys. Thanks again for organizing the fish extender group. Hope to see you again at a future cruise. Praying for a smooth move/transfer for you two!

This is always one of my post cruise let downs--missing all the daily posting and excitement here. This group was so much fun on the boards here and in person.
Who made the bottlecap magnets? We did not get any but saw them and thought they were a great idea and considered "stealing" your idea for our next cruise. Hope you won't mind. Where did you get all the perfectly sized pictures?? So many people have such great FE gift ideas.
Looking at my pictures today and wishing I had the time and ability to do a scrap book.
So is everyone here signed up for the Maiden on the Fantasy? My son wants to but I don't think it will work in our schedule.

We tried to video tape and got busted twice. We saw others who were permitted. I don't think there was a rhyme to reason about the picture taking on the Aquaduck.

Try and view in a 'full screen' browser - it should try and load the HiDef version.

I used a head mounted Drift HD 170 cam. They seemed not to like hand held cameras.

I too saw the bottlecap magnets and loved them. We didn't get any, but would love to do them for a future cruise. That would definitely be alot easier to carry than the stuff I made.
We are booked on the MV of the Fantasy. The new date I'm hoping works out better. If the school schedule stays the same for the boys, that will be spring break week. My oldest will be going to middle school that year, and they are strict. The vacation would be considered an unexcused absence for the week in all classes, even with advance notice. We are keeping our fingers crossed.

So how was the second cruise compared to the first? Were there as many souvenir seekers on the next voyage? And did the dining room staff seem more confident?

The dining room seemed to speed up quite a bit. We found our head server helping on the second cruise. The shops were no where near what we all experienced on the first cruise. I was kind of bummed that they were selling MV merchandise on the second cruise. I looked and looked for an XL for the gray tee on the MV and someone on the second cruise found one in the shops.

The adult pool seemed to be more crowded on the second cruise but the weather was much warmer on the second one.

We are home after four days at the World and visiting some family. What a great trip!!
Thanks to all of you who made it special.
We especially enjoyed the room tour. Thanks to those who opened up their cabins!

We have finally got home after 5 days in San Francisco then 23 hours of flights and waiting.
We would also like to thank everyone for the BBQ, Lanyards, Mini Navigators, Aquaduck fast passes and the suitcase full of FE gifts we brought home (minus most of the chocolates that the kids consumed (only the Cabury ones made it home to make others jealous).
We (and the other family from New Zealand) were overwhelmed with everyones friendliness and generousity. we cannot make the maiden voyage of the fantasy due to the kids exams schedule next year but are all hoping to return again soon. The boys might be back at Disney World this April for the Vex Robitics World Championships so we will be looking at what to do to extend the trip then as well

Made the decision today to do Alaska instead of the Transatlantic.We will be sailing May 10th and will miss seeing alot of you as you will be getting off the ship as we will be getting on!
