Disney Dream Inaugural Cruise 1/26/2011 Part 2

OMG!!!! I must have 10 of those.....I keep putting them in Patrick's backpack to use later on........

Oh, and I have a couple plastic spoons from the ice cream dispenser......how much would those go for?

Lynn and I were talking and really enjoyed the whole experience, I really wished we had more time to meet more folks,

More deep thoughts later.......we are still at WDW

we booked the April 7, 2012 Disney Fantasy....( second cruise, not the Inaugural). It's 7 nights, much better for us!:hippie:

Great first Disney cruise.
Thanks to all our new friends who made this special.
The tour of the Roy Disney suite was very cool. As were all the other rooms.
Perfect cruise - except for debarkation which was just crazy.
More to come on all this when we do our review.
The food and staff were better than any cruise we have ever had and we have been on some good ones.
I would trade this Maiden voyage in on the Oasis which we did last year.
We will be back.
Little hiccups here and there but lots of great Disney magic
Peace
Tim and Donna:cool2:

I told You!

LOL Sunburned Peter :goodvibes

Had a great time and was a pleasure to meet so many disboarders!

My wife was especially please with our waiter who made recommendations as to what to get (also he said no on a couple of things). She said everything he recommended that she tried was very good and would not have tried some of them on her own.

As far as the D & B bags goes my wife was able to order what she wanted (and not for ebay). She was also told they would be available on the ship all year so if you want one and are going again or know someone who is you should be able to get one. I'm guessing the ebay value might go down after a few cruises!

Hope to see many of you on the Fantasy MV.

Just wanted to say we had a great time. Wish we were able to meet more fellow Disers, but time was so short. Thank you everyone for the wonderful FE gifts. My boys really enjoyed going back to the room to see what was next. It was nice running into people while delivering as well and admiring everyone's door. This was the largest FE exchange we have participated in. I had to use one large suitcase to put them all in. My DH thought I was insane. It took us up until the last day to deliver everything, but it was fun.
We didn't get to do everything we wanted, but we did manage to get into Palo and Remy. I wish I would have found out more about how the $75 was distributed to the servers ahead of time, because I had no idea on what to tip when the bill came. I hope we did not offend our server!!
We had new servers for our dining. They did pretty well. Our server was good, but I could tell she was stressing. She kept running back and forth. I thought she was going to drop the tray of food a couple of time with how fast she was walking with them.
I hope to see guys on future cruises!!
BTW-saw some Animators Palate plates on sale on EBay!! I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

We were sad to miss so much. By the time we got on board, we'd missed the lanyards, match your mate, and the dvc photo op... all things we wanted to do. I did see Ken once, in line for the duck on castaway cay day... but by then I figured it was a little late to try to get our lanyards.

We enjoyed the gym, son loved the vibe. Food was hit and miss... some was great, some did not even qualify as food. Our server was terrific, and really made the cruise. The adult activities on board were disorganized and disappointing...that was the low spot for us, since we are definitely "activities" people. Castaway Cay was relaxing, and the jet skis were fun.

I especially enjoyed the choreography on Believe and how it matched the projections... the technology and artistry took my breath away.

btw... we liked the bathrooms near evolution, but did not notice the mirrors on the ceiling.

WOW.....
Where do I start....
It was great to meet those of you that I did...and I am sorry that there was not enough time to meet more.:sad2:
Thanks to all those who made the lanyards and to Ken for delivering them to our room.
We were fortunate enough to get two shirts that we wanted and were happy to let everyone else go CRAZY:eek:
Thanks to Chris for getting my Ducky print signed for me when I had to leave after standing in line for an hour(the whiskey was good)
To all the DISers I met in PINK...my new favorite place....lets make sure we meet up there again soon....and thanks to Ron for saving us.
I look forward to seeing you all again and again.....

Were you 1 of the two ladies being 'chatted up' by that man in the yellow shirt that was a bit loud and obnoxious? If so, my husband and I were sitting in chairs right by the bar and were like 'What is up with that dude?'. :lmao: Glad Ron was able to rescue the two of you, if you're who I'm thinking you are. ;) We saw yellow shirt dude in Skyline later that night trying to chat others up as well. :rotfl:

Yes that was us...learned that they finally pulled the plug on him and he was refused drinks the rest of the cruise....:yay:

A huge thank you to all that made this cruise so special! Thanks to all those participating in the FE exchange and all those that opened their rooms for the stateroom tour...wow...what a treat to see the different rooms. The lanyards and name tags, fastpasses, buttons, etc etc.(too many things to list individually) were all fabulous. Thanks to all!!! Looking forward to being back on the Dream in November.

And I thank you for the bid.

Pretty soon, you will have enough to buy some more DVC points! :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for a great cruise. It was way too short and not enough time to see everything.

The aquaduck was lavenous!

Mike Super...ditto. Just can't figure out how he does those illusions.....

Can't wait for our next voyage.......

Missed out on alot of the MV merchandise, as the shops were just too crazy for me. People were unbelievable. They should have been thrown overboard and picked up by a Carnival ship........

Thanks everyone for the great gifts!

A big thanks to all for helping make this cruise so special!! Love my special lanyards! Didn't manage to connect to get my mini-nav or make it to the stateroom tour....too busy doing other things!

I agree about the lines for merchandise...as my daughter would say..totally ridonculous! We did manage to get a couple of items we wanted, and were fortunate enough to get one of everything we ordered through RSP.:worship:

My heart went out to the poor staff in the shops...no one should have to endure some of the things that were said.....

Love my ducky print (and the fact that he signed it!)
Loved the food and our favourite server, Igor S.
Loved our stateroom host, Narcisso
Loved the aquaduck and goofy golf
Loved Remy
Loved doing FEs with such a great group -- Sage couldn't wait to see what was waiting outside the door!
Heck, I loved it all!:woohoo:

See some of you on the MV of the Fantasy or on other cruises along the way.

Lisa

I too saw a young boy get rejected when he tried to ride the duck with his sister. He was about 3 or 4 inches too small. The CM said that the engineers spec'd the ride at 48" for safety reasons.

My 7.5 year old was turned away too. She is short for her age. She is an excellent swimmer and even takes diving lessons. CD told us that the 48 inches is a Coast Guard requirement. She also went on to say that several of the smaller kids are getting stuck (many riding alone) and if that doesn't improve they are considering INCREASING the height requirement.

I also wanted to thank Ken for delivering our lanyards.

We had a great cruise!

Paul

I also wanted to thank Ken for delivering our lanyards to our room!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

We tried to find you in the terminal, but . . . we asked people with the cool lanyards, but . . . .. still no luck.

We looked on the starboard side, but may have gotten there a little late. Asked more people wearing the cool lanyards, but.. . . still no luck.

My dd was SO Excited when they were in our room!!! Thanks again! You Rock!
