Andy...thank you so much for sharing...your pictures and videos are fabulous!!!!!

I have a few questions for you...

1. What type of camera do you use?
2. Where did you find the ship building plaque on the ship? I asked a few CM onboard and no one seemed to know what was referring to.
3. I loved your AquaDuck videos....How were you able to take a video camera on the AquaDuck???

Once again, thanks for sharing your fabulous pictures.

1. The stills were a mix of pics from a Canon 7D, a Sony TX1 and a Sony NEX-VG10. The Aquaduck vids were taken on a Drift 170HD, the other videos were on mostly shot with the NEX-VG10, some portion of the early Pirates show was with the TX1.
2. The plaque is on the forward radar/sat dome on the deck 13(?) sundeck.
3. The Drift comes with a headmount/headband. The CM's seemed not to want people handholding cameras, so this passed whatever tests they had. I did see people going down the duck with cameras strapped to their wrists. They clearly were not consistent in their actions.

Great video, so many good memories. I was told I could not bring my water camera on the aqua duck and a person a head of me had his. Not sure what their criteria was!

I would just like to say thanks to Ken, Linda, and all those that put in so much time, effort, and resources to help make this a truly enjoyable cruise. I would also like to thank those that did such a great job with the FE's. We did a poor job ourselves but have this experience to use so that in the future we will do a much better job, thanks so much for your generosity and creativity.

I have to be honest, most have been very positive on this thread, I have only been on Disney cruises and have to admit my expectations were a bit higher than my experience for this inaugeral cruise. Of course the ship was spectacular (I didn't quite like the aft elevator letting you out in the middle of Cabanas), we were extremely happy with our service staff and steward. In fact we were happy with all personel we interacted with on the ship. Our stateroom was a 4A which is technically smaller than those on the other ships but felt much bigger. However except for the sailaway party and a few references at shows etc, I felt they should have done more along this vein. I never once saw the Captain out and about or at any of the venues where he might have, and usually does make an appearance. I also didn't think it was quite right when on the last night Rachel referenced the newness of the crew for any shortcomings of the cruise. Others have mentioned the retail and RSP.

I wanted to book the inaugeral for the Fantasy while on this cruise even though I should wait till this summer, There was not enough special I thought to book earlier than I had planned and must consider weather a non inaugeral will suffice.

I hope my whining doesn't offend anyone. My experience with you all has been great.

Hello everyone,
Does any one know if there is a video available from the channel 9 helicopter during the sailaway of dream maiden voyage.

That was our handicapped accessible room on deck 11 and we definitely enjoyed talking to everyone who came through on the tour. In fact, we had 2 scooters and they both fit in the room no problem. Our biggest problem with the ship was getting through doors. Only a couple were self opening, most were very heavy and we were very lucky that most times people would see us coming and open the door for us, otherwise it was vey hard to do. Hope we can all meet up again some time.

my mom will be with us in June and will be using a scooter, but since there are only 2 HA rooms on 11 they are gone. Guess we'll leave the scooter in the hall. In the past the elevators were an issue. Did you have trouble seeing at the shows? I heard from the back where scooters are you can not see the screens at all.

There are a couple of HA rooms on Deck two. We "peaked" in them a couple of times and was amazed at the size of the room especially for an inside. Maybe you could check out deck 2.

Oh wait, I reread your post about elevators are a problem. Maybe it won't work for you.

It seems most people crowd on when a scooter is there rather than let her go some nights it took twenty minutes to get an elevator

I'm sorry! There is absolutely no excuse for that! We found people just didn't have elevator manners. :confused3I don't get it.

For those of you who may have ordered an inaugural voyages bag on the MV, just an update to say that mine arrived yesterday. given that it had to clear customs, I think 2 weeks is pretty good!

Hi Claire
I ordered it on the ship on the last day. Apparently, given the "over-exuberance" of some guests and the lack of supply, the decision was made to allow folks to order a purse and have it delivered free of charge They didn't do a very good job of telling folks about this -- I heard from another guest purely by chance.....they are going to be available on board all year -- I am sailing again at the end of June and would be happy to try and get you one. Send me a PM if you're interested.

I am not surprised they did take orders in the end but I wish they had told people somehow!

I really wanted the medium sized bag & was #47 in the queue but by the time I got in the shop they only had the cross body & small wallets left....it was very frustrating to see the people in front buying 8 bags each, 16 in some cases when they had their spouse with them too, especially when you know they were ebaying them. :headache:

Anyway thank you for your kind offer, I think I will contact dcl first to see if they will let me order one, if not then I may take you up on your very kind offer. Thank you.

I didn't even realize that we could order them. Interesting.

has anyone heard if they were letting people order sweat jackets from the MV? I would love to have been able to have gotten one....Maybe I will call them on Monday to see if they were (will?) allow me to order one.

Ditto on this comment as well>
We tried to get one onboard the MV and they were all sold out.
Maybe go look on ebay, but I was so turned off at the hoarding I just had to walk away so it would not ruin my first cruise on Disney.
We did however get a couple of very nice windbreakers for only 15.00 apiece.
Plan to wear them in Paris at Disneyland Paris in April.:cloud9:
Miss all the DIS gang from the Maiden Voyage.
Anyone know where I can get a hoodie?
See you at sea on Disney:yay:
