Disney Dream 9/29/2011 3night

Hi MamaLo,
Sorry, haven't been to this site in a while. My wife Jenn, my 7 year old daughter Madison & I are in Hillsborough. Not too far from you at all! How old are your children? Are they getting as antsy as mine? ( I think I'm more excited than my wife and daughter combined!) Hope to hear from you soon and maybe meet up on the ship. Stay cool. ( Jersey summers are tough as I'm sure you know).

Okay so this is how I made the FE. We bought small canvas bags, disney material, disney ribbon and disney patches. We used heat bond paper to iron on the disney material to the bags, then attached the patches. We then heat bonded the bags and hand stitched them onto black strips. (like you find on backpacks) add a wooden dowel and tie some more ribbon. By the time we bought all the material and spent a full day making it. It's cheeper and easier to buy one!! My sister in-law will add their names with puffy paint.

Hi Al,

We are close! My brother lives in Hillsborough.

Isaac is 7 and Sam is 9. There is so much excitement here about the trip! Secretly I think that I am the most excited too. Isaac keeps a mental countdown and will tell anyone that will listen how many more days we have.

You stay cool too! It's been so hot this summer.

Have a great day,
Lois

I saw that. What a pain.
But speaking of BOARDING.....ask your DW if we have all of our info filled out on DCL's website, so that we're ready to check in. I think one lady, who shall remain anonymous, has not yet finished with her info.:rolleyes1

But I DO have the signature forms already printed out, so maybe we don't need to do anything else online. How do we find out what time we're supposed to board??? I don't like this new system. OR...since we're Platinum, does it matter what time??

Garry the Dream left about 5:35 so it wasn't all that late leaving.

Stacey Platinum's don't get an assigned arrival time, it says that on the website when you get to that portion of the online check-in. Once you are able to print the signature forms there's nothing left to do online, that's the last chore on there. So the one that shall remain nameless has nothing left to do online.

I thought that's what the deal was....no waiting for Platinum.

Unnamed person only needs to fork over a credit card at check-in. So we're all good. :thumbsup2

Hi folks - trying to catch up after being off the boards for a while...Nothing exciting to report in that I have not won the lottery or have any such excuse for being away for so long....I did host a small birthday party for my Mother, which was fun...but mostly it is work and chores...I have not even been diving (sigh), schedules being what they are.

A while ago we were working on a list of info we stuck on the first page for a handy reference guide. So for my penance, I have tried to UPDATE it...please let me know who - or what you wish to add.....And apologies in advance, no intential missing of cruisers, or misspelling of names, or pariing you up with the wrong parter, getting your kids names mixed up or worse... - etc for every disclosure you can think of...

So chime on in and we can get this updated.

Updated plans --- We are also Floridians and assuming we do not need to stay at home due to those pesky storms that shall not be named, our plans are to stay in Cocoa Beach the night before at some of our favourite haunts. Then board as soon as we can. I am interested in the recent chatter about boarding times and if that has changed...Must go look futher.

As soon as we are aboard of course it is the buffet for us...Yummy...and then off to explore the ship. We were fortunate to have sailed once before and 4 nights was not enough time to see everything...Much more to do and many Crew members to say Hi to (This is our 8th cruise - I think).

Aqua duck is fun and will be more enjoyable than the cold sunless January when we first took the plunge.

We have booked both Palo and Remmy. And we have also seen the shows and all 3 resturants. We are undecided about how to plan the dinner/show/tablemate/reesrvation time - and have time to have a toast in PINK:cloud9:

Perhaps we will have a meet and great and a chit chat at our assigned resturant before heading to the top deck. I think we shall be overdressed....:rotfl:

Not planning on a Nassau trip except perhaps to Sr. Frogs.....that is something we never seem to have time to do. Some chill time in the spa would be great - or just hanging on deck, ever better.....lots to see and do.
And Pirate Night to look forward to.

Castaway Cay - we are undecided if we are bringing the snorkel gear, I expect not with the Wedding being in the morning.....and with the ocean outside our door so to speak at home. BELIEVE is the show that night - must see that again.

Then we have to find out how to extend TIME so that we can stay on the ship for another 4 days and still arrive back on the 2nd (that is right isn't it).

In addition to the wedding, we will be celebrating our Anniversary :lovestruc

Our list has really grown!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I don't know if I'm bringing my official Pirate Princess stuff....Vicki???
I have some new sundresses that I really want to bring, and with only three nights, plus the wedding, I don't know if I want to do pirate or not.
