Disney Dream 9/29/2011 3night

Thanks so much for posting the link for the staterooms. looks like I am in a good spot! That is a very good link! Thanks again

Hey does anyone know if there is a setup for the dining on the 3 day. How do they choose which restaurant you go to first? Is it based on where you are located on the ship or something else? Just curious if we have to wait til we are onboard to know what night is first in which place. Sorry I get so excited...cmon 61 days hurry up!

Not sure how they figure it out, but my H called DCL and they were able to tell us what day we are eating where.
We wanted to make sure when booking Palo that we didn't miss Animator's Palace.

NEVER apoligize for being excited and having questions!! That's why we have these boards. :cutie:

No one has ever really quite figured out who gets which rotation. They will assign us to dine in each of the three restaurants, so that we get to try each of them, and when you booked, you either chose or were assigned either the late seating or the early seating. As far as which night you'll visit each restaurant, that's guesswork. It will be printed on your key card when you checkin at port. There's no way to find out ahead of time.

It used to be that they had families with small children dining in Parrot Cay the first night, families with mid-range aged kids were usually in Lumiere's/Triton's and mostly adults in Animator's. I'm not sure how they'll apply it with the Dream.

Used to be that they didn't assign dining until the week or two before a cruise, because so many things could change up until that point.
I've been in charge of seating DIS groups for as many as 40-50 people, and was able to speak with the person in charge of dining, but was never able to get our seating/rotation until just before the cruise.

This may have changed, but I wouldn't 100% trust what a CM that you spoke to on the phone said. You could call 10 times and get 10 different answers.

Don't tell me that!!!
I really hope we don't miss AP. H insists the guy seemed to know what he was talking about.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you, that it works out well for you. It's been a couple of years since I've talked to Disney Dining, so they may very well have changed the system.

Does your Palo time conflict with your dining time? I know people who go to both. At Animator's, you could just order a drink or coffee and watch the "show".

Hi all, I'm jumping in here to add to Stacey's post about Animator's Palate. On the Dream Crush comes out and talks to the 'show' really takes place all throughout dinner, not just the color changes like on the Magic/Wonder. It depends where your table is located in the dining room as to when Crush 'talks' to your section, so it's hard to judge when the best time to be in there if you are not going to be eating there at your regular meal time.

Anyone can request a dining rotation but DCL will not guarantee that you will get that rotation. Dining is set up by one of the Head Servers on the ship about 1 or 2 weeks before sailing. Shoreside has no clue who has what dining rotation and you will find that out when you check in at the port. If you do not like your rotation you can stop by the Dining Changes location once you board the ship and they can try and change your rotation if you don't like the one assigned to you.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for the info Jill.

Stace- the times do overlap a bit. We already discussed double dipping for dinner that night!!

I guess we'll just see what happens when we get on board.

Okay those who are involved with the FE, I've all PM you a list! Please let me know if you didn't receive it or if there are any corrections/changes!
