Disney done differently, (BOG dining updates pages 202 and 203)

Yay for the corner room and that Goofy could come earlier than you had thought he would.

Pepper Market dinner is not the buffet? Or have they stopped the buffet. I just did an update on my TR that included the day we went there. I will be sad if things have changed back to non buffet.

Interesting change to the toiletries. Is that the change throughout? Or just at CSR? I think only Mickey ones have been available on all of our trips.

The Pepper Market is buffet for breakfast and lunch. For dinner it is ala carte.

The new toiletries are stinky. I don't care for the grapefruit scent at all. Not sure if it's just CSR or resort wide. Haven't heard, and I unsubscribed from all the other resort threads.

Love the two windows on the corner room. That to me is ideal. I love the sunlight while I can enjoy it.

Hope you don't mind me intruding and asking, Bell's Palsy or Cerebral palsy?

Bell's, both sides. It was the first symptom he had that clued his doctor in at Hershey Medical Center to look for Lyme Disease. Until then, she had diagnosed a Lupus-like autoimmune disease but still didn't know what the trigger had been. When she saw him and he had "the worst headache of [his] life" and Bell's palsy on one side, she admitted him to the hospital again and did the full Lyme work up. He was in the late neurological stage, he'd actually had Lyme at that point for about three years, but no one tested him for it even though I requested that several times locally in the early month of his illness. I was laughed at and told it was a fad disease.

Bell's hit the other side of his face about three months later while he was preaching. We all watched it progress from the beginning of the sermon until the end. His topic that day -- Perseverance. LOL Since the first side hadn't recovered, and now the other side of his face was joining the party, by the end of the sermon he couldn't even speak the word "perseverance" -- but he did make it to the end, didn't give up. He's always been a smiler and of course, with the Bell's, that was taken away for a while (it's back now). But when he would preach and he would want to smile, he'd point to one of the elders who always had a big grin and say, "Look at Donnie, that's what I'm doing on the inside even though you can't see it on the outside."

Wow! What a message of perseverance! I'm so glad he got his smile back!

We are hoping to go up north in August. Maybe we can stop by a service if we are there over a weekend?

We made it through the night last night with no seizures!! His new med increased in dose by double yesterday and we didn't see any seizures!

Coming up next, dreams come true for a Star Wars fan!

Day 2

We woke up late. Very late. Even me, the morning person woke up late. We got a great night's sleep. One with no seizures!! Those mattresses are so comfy at CSR!! We didn't hear a peep from any neighbors the whole night either.

We had talked about going to DHS to build a droid in the morning then come back to CSR to eat at the PM for lunch, but as late as we woke up there wouldn't be time to do this. So we reversed the plan. We ate at the PM then we'd head to DHS to the Droid Factory to Build a Droid!!

Anakin had been looking forward to doing this since we had seen this on Studio Central's website. We figured it would be better to do this before SWW rather than during SWW!! I think that was a good call!!

At the PM we asked for Wivy one of our favorite servers!

I stuck with my new favorite of the enchiladas.

Our lunch was fantastic! We love the PM's lunch buffet!!

I love the topic of his sermon...perserverance...and his attitude. I too suffer from Bell's Palsy but, thankfully, it's only on one side of my face. Besides the frequent headaches, I think my not being able to fully smile on one side is the side effect that bothers me the most.

We arrived at DHS while Disney Channel Rocks was performing. It was very cool to see them up on the Star Wars Weekend stage.

It was pretty hot by this time of the day so we walked decided to walk through the stores. Wow!! You could tell it was soon SWW. There was so much more SW merchandise!! We were in heaven!

In particular the winter hats caught our eye. CM friend of ours said these hats have been out for a long time, but this was the first we saw them. After all, this was a mild winter we didn't have much need for winter hats this year.

We had forgotten hats in the room, so Grumpy and Anakin both purchased baseball hats.

Our next stop was the store outside of Idol. More SW merchandise caught our eyes.

These new lanyards have a totally different feel to them. They are silky. The colors are very vibrant!

Next up was finding the Droid Factory at Tatooine Traders. I had assumed by the pictures I saw that the Droid Factory had replaced the build a light saber area. Not true! The Droid Factory is in the middle of the store facing the exit of Star Tours.

$11.95 for 1 or $18.95 for 2, so that was a no brainer.

Lots of pieces to choose from!

This day, the cm build the droid for the guests. There were 2 cm, so 2 guests could build at a time. The queue is very narrow. Strollers and wheelchairs cannot fit past the people building without the cm and people building moving for them. Anakin's chair didn't make the turns. Goofy had to lift the chair to make each turn. It would be very difficult for a skooter to navigate if his medical stroller had trouble.

After we exited the store we found the Photopass photographer here. Can't wait to see their pics!!

Oh that looks so good!! Yummy!! Anakin's shirt is so cute!!

Wow all the Star Wars merchandise is overwhelming! Anakin's hat choice is cute. I think the Droid queue sounds ridiculous. You would think they would more accessible. I wouldn't want to be in their for SWW! It is going to be crazy!!

Thanks!

Do you or your kids play the Where's the Water game? His shirt is Swampy from that game.

We can't wait for SWW. We will be doing it in small doses. A little bit each day.

You're welcome.

No, I had never heard of it before. Swampy is cute!!

I bet it can be overwhelming if you don't.

Here's the link to Where's My Water and the game http://disney.go.com/wheresmywater/

Anakin was overwhelmed just doing two things at DHS that day, the build a droid and the TS M&G. Those pics are coming up as soon as I get a chance to download them. He was the quite the character and acted the entire time. It was hysterical, but unfortunately it was more than he could handle, and he was overly exhausted afterwards.

Poor guy. I know that has to be hard on you.

Just checking in. Haven't been on the DIS in a really long time!!
So sorry to hear about Anakin's seizures. Hopefully the increase in medication will take care of that.
I agree with the PP who mentioned what a wonderful mom you are, you truly are a wonderful mom and I'm so glad you had a good Mother's Day. :)
I need to make it a point to visit your TR more often!!
