Poor guy. I know that has to be hard on you.

It use to be disappointing. But we are really learning to go with the flow.

I really feel for Grumpy because it's so hard on him. There's been so many things that we had planned to do and then he ends up having to go alone or having it cancelled. He's become very independent because of it. So I guess it's not all bad.

So sorry to hear about Anakin's seizures. Hopefully the increase in medication will take care of that.
I agree with the PP who mentioned what a wonderful mom you are, you truly are a wonderful mom and I'm so glad you had a good Mother's Day.

Glad to hear that the med increase has helped to control Anikan's seizures. I hope that continues.

Our eldest is quite a few years younger than Grumpy is (just turned 11) but I know what you mean about being sad that their lives are impacted so much by their younger sibling's challenges. There are so many things that Megan's friends are able to do with their families that she doesn't even ask us about because she knows that Grace just can't do them. We try to give her the chance to do as many things one on one with one of us or to spend time with her friends and their families, but it's hard. So much of our time has to be devoted to doctors and therapist appointments and working around what Grace can handle, that it's often Megan who pays the biggest price.

Hoping that Anikan continues to improve and has more seizure free days.

Another seizure free night!!

Yesterday he had 1 meltdown but it was just crying and verbalizing his frustration. There was no hitting, kicking or punching. Nobody got hurt.

His sensory issues are causing problems again too. He spent most of yesterday wearing his baseball helmet for deep pressure, and leaning over his giant ball for pressure too.

He got his school work done though! If he has to wear a baseball helmet to help get it done, then he will wear the baseball helmet. He focused so much better.

Breakfast and lunch are buffet! We didn't get up early enough to try breakfast.

We've gone from big church (1990s) to house church now. We meet in our basement on Sunday mornings and other people's homes during the week, just a small group of believers. But you are welcome to join us if you want!

At this point a trip is up in the air. We decided we were going to take a summer off from visiting family. Usually we go up north and travel around visiting family. Last summer, Anakin's myclonic twitching started while we were doing all this driving. He didn't handle the car ride too well. If we go this year it will be by plane.

We told everyone we are not coming this year. But my dad had a stroke a couple years back (right before Anakin had his first seizure), and his memory isn't the best. Don't want him to forget who we are. But I the changes in my dad are also stressful for Anakin because my dad was his best buddy and play mate. They visited us 5 months of the year each year prior to the stroke.

Part 3 of Day One

After seeing the Toy Story M&G on DMGeutz's and lbuzz52's TRs we decided this was something we really wanted to do!!

On the way there we saw Max. Anakin informed the cm all about Max. What his real name was, what he likes to do, etc. He has seen the Goofy Movie so many times he can probably repeat it by heart.

The queue said 20 minutes, we got in line and figured we'd enjoy the air conditioning of the queue. Little did we know, Anakin had ideas of his own. He had looked at their trip report pictures of this area too. He decided to ham it up for the pictures. This was the most fun he had waiting. Over and over he declared it the best day ever!!

It is hard for Grumpy I am sure. It isn't easy to be the oldest under any circumstances. My nephew is 6 years older than his sister and it wasn't easy on him either. I was the baby in our family growing up and I felt it the other way. Ah the joys of sibling rivalry.

As soon as we got out the door from the M&G there was a cm sending people away. Apparently the M&G closes for the Pixar Parade. Anakin traded pins with her. Then he said he wanted to go home
Goofy and I wanted to get a quick look of Darth Mall over by Rock n Roller.

It was really hot, so I stopped over at High Octane refreshments and got a non-alcoholic icee for Anakin. He drank a few sips. Before we knew it, he was asleep. Guess acting took alot our of him.

Goofy didn't realize he was sleeping and scared him half to death seeing if he was ok. He went back to sleep and we headed over to Rock n Roller to check things out.

There were plants and borders blocking the entry way, but you could see Darth Maul's face on top of Darth Mall.

After getting a couple pics, we headed out to the car. We were parked so far away from the entrance, and all the way down the row. We were all sweating buckets 'til we got to the car. With air conditioner cranked up, we headed to CSR.

We were greeted with a towel Mickey upon entering the room. Also there was double of all toiletries!!

We took it easy relaxing and cooling off in the room until dinner time.

Thanks! It was a suprise. Very rarely does anyone get a towel animal at CSR.

I bet there are. I think it would be fun. One of the most fun I had when I was younger was in drama. My kids were never interested in it though.
