Could anyone here please help me with some questions I have.

They are regarding the Dining Plan. Well, one is about the booking of the Free Dining plan offer and one isn't.

Here goes:

1. The free dining plan offer ends on September 22nd. If we book a trip from the 19th through the 27th, will we have the free dining for the entire length of our stay?

2. Our youngest (age 4) isn't much of an eater. We would prefer not to waste food and simply have him graze off our plates, and since we want to attend a show (requiring more than one table service allotment from each of us) we would prefer not to order him a meal. Are we required to do so?

I mean, we are feeding him. But he's more of a grazer and nibbler than a full meal eater.

Thanks In Advance!

As long as your vacation starts within the free dining promotion, it's good the length of your stay.

I guess you wouldn't have to use up your son's credits, but I think they frown on sharing? Someone else can probably answer that part better.

I'm not for sure when the cut off for free dining is but if you check in on or before Sept. 22 the free dining would be for the whole stay. Also there would still have to be availability for you to book it.

As far as not ordering for your son are you asking if an adult can use some of his Table service credits if you eat at a place that requires 2 TS that would be no. Credits are split from child and adults they will not let you use a child credit for an adult meal so if you don't order him anything you will just loose his credits.

You might want to check the thread "everything you need to know about the dining plan" this will give you a better understanding of it.

Have a great trip!!!

I'll go read that thread, but the split part must be rather new. I know it wasn't that way during our last trip.

The 'split' part went into effect in January 2007. Servers can be disciplined or even fired for trying to get around the programming set up to prevent adults from using child credits.

You will probably NOT be able to avoid using your son's credits at a dinner show, a buffet, a family-style meal...

If it is a show he will be charged wether he eats or not...so count on the 2 C TS credits being used.

1-Try and pass DS4 off as a 3 year old....(yes, many will say this is wrong, but you KNOW many do it...)
OR
2-Don't worry about it. At $10.99/day for kids meals, it's no biggie to order for him even if he doesn't eat.
(and it is true, you cannot use DS's child TS credits for yourself to help cover 2TS meals)

In order not to pay for him, he would have to be 2, not 3. And if dining is free, you really are not charged anything for him anyway. At buffets and preplated, and family style or any dinner show they will subtract his credits, even if he doesn't eat. At regular restaurants he doesn't have to order food, and won't be charged for it, but you still won't be able to use his child credits for your adult meals.
