Yes it's worth it! It got me a reservation for 8 for BOG. It took about 3 weeks before I got the 1st alert. I also signed up for scout since it was free but I still haven't heard a thing that.
I was just gonna show up and throw the host $40 to just give us a table because I always see empty tables at even the most busiest places. Not sure if that would work at a Disney restaurant
Scout & Buddy don't charge for ADR's. It's just a monitoring service to let you know when a reservation is available. There are some that do though and I hope Disney puts a stop to it.
I managed to get a BOG dinner reservation five days before we would leave for WDW the old fashioned stalking the website way. I'm not a believer in the dining buddy type apps, but to each their own

I'm confused........... I just brought up Disney Dining Buddy (I downloaded it to my PC) and they we're gonna charge me $8 for a BOG ADR for 2 in Dec.................so they charge for the monitoring?

Yes, they charge for monitoring. You are not getting a reservation for $8. You will receive a text if one becomes available and its up to you to book it. I have received notifications and booked a few and missed a few.
