How cute are those?

DH and I agreed no presents this year for Christmas or our anniversary - he got a TV (I got it for $35 though - so not a major gift) I got two cd's - Carrie Underwood and Desperate Housewives -

plus he put his Bengals' ticket in my stocking  - my dad had 6 tickets and only 5 of them were using the tickets - I would have KILLED to go to the game but we didn't have anyone to watch the kids - so he offered me his ticket and he would stay home with the kids

I only wanted to go with him though so I insisted he went - and I guess it was a good thing since Nick spent the day throwing up!!

Oh man! He's right there with my DH. I'm still waiting on an anniversary gift (9/20) and my birthday gift (10/7). ugh I told him last week he can stop stressing his brain .... I want a remote car starter.

No garage = cold winter mornings!!!!!!

I gave up on the dh getting what I want. So now I go to the store, buy what I want and hand him the bag to wrap it. I must confess though that I asked him to give my car a complete tune up, get new snow tires and have it reconditioned. He did the tune up, had it reconditioned (it looks and smells awesome) and bought the tires (he has not however put them on yet :rolleyes1 ) He is an auto technician by trade so you'd think that he'd want my car in tip top shape, but that is not the case. Men, you can't live with them and you can't shoot them. :rotfl: :rotfl:

YOur kids look like they are having a great time!!

How did Alyssa do with the characters?

I am glad to see all of you venting about DHs and gifts. It's nice to know that mine isn't the only one who doesn't have a clue.

Kate,

Thank you so very much. My photo pass had run out and I was just not going to pay that amount of money. I was almost ready to plead my case and you filled the bill.

I love them.

Again, Thank You
Terry

I haven't seen any with the brass anywhere around here. They all seem to be completely plastic these days.

Yes, we all had a great time. Everything went smoothly. The kids were real troopers through the long days/nights. The shirts were a hit, especially the ones with the kids pics that you and Denise did for me, as well as the tie-dyes. Nicholas had his on when he met Mickey, and Mickey wanted us to make one for him!

Alyssa was great with the princesses, as well as Mary Poppins in her Jolly Holiday dress. But forget Mary with the red coat on. As far as characters, she jumped out of the stroller and his behind it every time one came near. The closest she got was when we had dinner at LTT before MVMCP. She was crying when she saw all of the characters and literally slid down out of her chair under the table. She wanted to leave. I finally got her up in her chair and Dale came by. He saw her crying and got some pixie dust out of a drawer that was next to our table. He slowly offered some to her and she reached out and took it. He offered more, and she continued to scoop it out of his hand. Then Dale sprinkled some on her head, a CM came by and sprinkled some on Dale, and she started to lighten up. She eventually started to touch Dale and gave him her autograph page to sign, then gave him a hug. That was it though. No other characters. When we would see Chip and Dale at other locations I would ask her if she wanted to go see them and she would reply, no I only want to see them at the restaurant. Even during parades when characters came by she would cover her eyes with her hand. Occasionally I would catch her peeking out around her fingers. She's too funny.

Here are the brass electric candlesticks for your window. They are made by a company that provides cities, etc with professional lights. Here is the link.

Nick would cover his eyes in the scary parts and it was so cute to see him peeking through his hands! Those are some of my favorite pictures of him!

It is a good thing that I live in the Central time zone. Otherwise, I'd never be able to keep up with you late posters!

I love the pictures with Tink on the shoulder. My kids think I'm nuts because I have become a Disney addict. I spend all year looking forward & planning our next trip. My DH is almost as bad as me so that helps anyway.

The Walt Disney World frame is one of the best gifts that I've ever seen. How very thoughtful to have the pictures already in place. I'm a procrastinator so the frame would be sitting on a shelf waiting for me to pick out the pictures. When my oldest graduated, we had to take the school picture frame down from the wall and put in the last 7 years worth of her school pictures (it had hung there without the new pictures all those years).

Well, I'm off to bed. I feel like I've been looking in on all of your lives for the last month and look forward to possibly becoming part of your lives. You are all a very generous and friendly bunch. Talk to you tomorrow.

Glad your trip was great and the shirts worked so well. Tammi, HONESTLY how were the crowds? Horrible or worth going? If you could go the 1st or 2nd week in December vs. that week, which would you choose?

they are hard to find. will check with Steffy because she found the ones she needed at a store in Cape May. She might still have the box and can give you the company name. Where do you live?

Thanks, Denise. It was definitely worth going. I was expecting bad crowds but it was not bad at all. We went last year the Sunday after Thanksgiving. So comparing this year to that, I thought it was a little more crowded but I wouldn't say it was bad at all. We were at the parks at opening and followed TGM's sample tours. We rode EVERY major ride/attraction, and I would say the most we waited was 15 minutes. Did FPs for the big stuff. The only day that was unbearable was the 24th. Getting around was difficult because of the mobs of people. It was our last day and we had to be back at our resort at 2:30 for ME. We didn't get to MK though until about 10:30 and the crowds were heavy. Our mission those few hours though was to go around and finish up autographs. The kids were asking for one more ride, so we FP'd Buzz and that was it. I think if you have a good plan anytime in December would be okay.

We were thinking of going Dec 16-22 next year, but kept reading horrible reports about the crowds. DH said he didn't want to fight the crowds. I think it would be better as the kids wouldn't miss any school. But now we're looking at the beginning of December again. What would you do? We would NOT be riding any thrill rides. Sticking with the safe and easy stuff.

Oh, and did you get all of MGM done in one day?
