Oh, Kate, since you have a Belle lover you will appreciate this. We went to Belle's Enchanted Christmas in the Fairytale Garden and Alyssa was chosen to play the part of Angelique. She was so thrilled and looked so cute up there with her little wings on. Belle was so sweet with her and I got some great pictures. I think I now have a Belle fan too!

Oh, that is so neat! The Belle we had at Cinderella's Castle was horrible! She couldn't get away from our table fast enough! She took one picture and was halfway to the next table and was irritated when I asked if we could have another picture.

It is a good thing that I live in the Central time zone. Otherwise, I'd never be able to keep up with you late posters!

I love the pictures with Tink on the shoulder. My kids think I'm nuts because I have become a Disney addict. I spend all year looking forward & planning our next trip. My DH is almost as bad as me so that helps anyway.

The Walt Disney World frame is one of the best gifts that I've ever seen. How very thoughtful to have the pictures already in place. I'm a procrastinator so the frame would be sitting on a shelf waiting for me to pick out the pictures. When my oldest graduated, we had to take the school picture frame down from the wall and put in the last 7 years worth of her school pictures (it had hung there without the new pictures all those years).

Well, I'm off to bed. I feel like I've been looking in on all of your lives for the last month and look forward to possibly becoming part of your lives. You are all a very generous and friendly bunch. Talk to you tomorrow.

Welcome to our group. :goodvibes

I must say that my DD and DDIL are the best. My DDIL had her Christmas cards out so we all received them Nov 1 :rotfl: When she told me she had found some great gifts for my DGS on sale., I jumped at the chance because it is hard to know what to get them and I wanted to get what they wanted. yes I should have gone out but if I can save my back, I will do what it takes. I just happened to luck out with my DD because she worked at Pottery Barn and they had the perfect gift for DGS there and she was happy for me to buy it. :)

Don't get me started on DH. I love him to death, he has really surprised me over the years and brought out the ugly cry in me but once in a while he really needs help. I told DD that I would really love to have a new sewing machine because I wanted to be able to do a few more functions than the one I have now would do. It is a Singer but I have had it fixed two times and this would have been the third time. I managed to find in Walmart a Singer that would do more, even do upholstery. I found some samples and thought I could sew some of them together to make really neat pillows. The kids loved the idea and I proceeded to try the idea but my machine would not handle the project. (I even was going to just sew up a hem on a caftan for Steffy but the machine was acting up and she may never get it back) :earseek: Pigs are sure to fly now :rotfl:
Well, DH took the machine to be fixed again and will pick it up in a few weeks. (A few weeks :confused3 I want it now) I told him I could have gotten a new machine for $99. I will not complain but I will be sure to show him that the repaired machine still will not sew upholstry.

Yes, we all had a great time. Everything went smoothly. The kids were real troopers through the long days/nights. The shirts were a hit, especially the ones with the kids pics that you and Denise did for me, as well as the tie-dyes. Nicholas had his on when he met Mickey, and Mickey wanted us to make one for him!

Alyssa was great with the princesses, as well as Mary Poppins in her Jolly Holiday dress. But forget Mary with the red coat on. As far as characters, she jumped out of the stroller and his behind it every time one came near. The closest she got was when we had dinner at LTT before MVMCP. She was crying when she saw all of the characters and literally slid down out of her chair under the table. She wanted to leave. I finally got her up in her chair and Dale came by. He saw her crying and got some pixie dust out of a drawer that was next to our table. He slowly offered some to her and she reached out and took it. He offered more, and she continued to scoop it out of his hand. Then Dale sprinkled some on her head, a CM came by and sprinkled some on Dale, and she started to lighten up. She eventually started to touch Dale and gave him her autograph page to sign, then gave him a hug. That was it though. No other characters. When we would see Chip and Dale at other locations I would ask her if she wanted to go see them and she would reply, no I only want to see them at the restaurant. Even during parades when characters came by she would cover her eyes with her hand. Occasionally I would catch her peeking out around her fingers. She's too funny.

Tammy, I must say that I really loved Chip and Dale at the LTT. They were the greatest. After my sister (tinker1bell's sister) nearly ripped Dale's arm off, Chip came by and she told him that he was her favorite. Well he kept coming back, flirting with her, kissing her and even taking her napkin, getting her to stand up so he could kiss her behind the napkin and even picking it up and then tossing it on the floor for her to pick up :rotfl:
Of course she was just eating all of this up and was in heaven.

We were thinking of going Dec 16-22 next year, but kept reading horrible reports about the crowds. DH said he didn't want to fight the crowds. I think it would be better as the kids wouldn't miss any school. But now we're looking at the beginning of December again. What would you do? We would NOT be riding any thrill rides. Sticking with the safe and easy stuff.

Oh, and did you get all of MGM done in one day?
Well, I know you subscribed to TGM and if you can follow his itinerary I think you would be fine. Especially since you would be leaving ahead of the Christmas rush. That is why we went this time when we did. Nicholas only missed a day and a half of school.

We went to MGM one afternoon, caught the parade, ate dinner, saw Fantasmic and strolled through Osborne lights. We went back another day but had extra FPs from our DVC tour. So we immediately FP'd ToT and RnRC, rode the great movie ride, star tours, ate, rode ToT and RnRC, Little Mermaid, One Man's Dream. We had already seen Muppets and WWTBAM from last year, and didn't think they were worth going back to. The only thing we didn't have time for was the Bear in the Big Blue HOuse thing. Didn't want to see Indy or LMA. I think if you were only doing the tame stuff you would get it done in a day.

Honestly, it wasn't bad at all. But maybe because I am an obsessive planner, I don't know.

They all were rather quick at our lunch there too. Fairy Godmother was great! We didn't have an autograph page for her (lack of planning on my part) so she went and found a piece of paper and came back later with a sig for each of my kids. She was really sweet. Mary Poppins there was good too.

Tammi -

what did you think of DVC?
Well........

We called and put our deposit down today. The only thing that bothers me is the maintenance fee. It seems awfully pricey. I was going to PM you and Marti and ask you about it. Also going to post about it over on the DVC board. So....feel free to welcome me to the club....lol.

They were really good with her there. Unfortunately a lot of the other characters would see that she was upset, so they wouldn't stick around long with the rest of us.

Whats with all the DH bashing about gifts that were given?

Thanks, Hunka! Now I can start planning our October trip.

October is a great time to go, although it was alittle more crowded this year that in past years. The weather is great, points are cheap and MNSSHP.

We just got all the written info on DVC in the mail. I agree that the yearly maintenance fees seem high. I'm sure we'll end up buying, but definately not before July.

We are thinking of doing a 4 night quick trip, for MNSSHP. Just have to worry about those hurricanes! I'm sure the free dining was to blame for the crowds this year.

Tammi - Congratulations!! I am not sure what other maintenance fees are but we just pay ours monthly so I don't really notice them -

I was there the week after Marti and Paul this year and although Columbus day weekend was crowded - the rest of the week was great - I was out of the free dining period!!

I can't wait to see the Belle pictures - Julia got the Belle Christmas dress for Christmas and she looks gorgeous in it - she can't wait to go to Disney for Christmas - just two more years!!

Paul - Marti hasn't come on to tell us what great gift you got her!! Did you see that I actually said how much I loved what DH got me and that it was really sweet of him to offer me his game ticket?

Are you in invisible mode Kate? Who are you hiding from?

Thank you! I am excited, but of course a little nervous with a purchase of that magnitude. We will prob go down on a Thurs night and come back Monday, to limit the missed school days. Did you do MNSSHP?
