We are thinking of doing a 4 night quick trip, for MNSSHP. Just have to worry about those hurricanes! I'm sure the free dining was to blame for the crowds this year.

Thats the beauty of DVC, we purchase an AP and find that we go more often now, especially when the airfares are cheap. We are heading down 1/22 thru 1/25 for Marti's birthday. Another thing, is that Matthew will be able to take his kids down on our/his points that have been paid for years prior.

I am in invisible mode -

I find that when people see that I am on - they tend to expect design results pretty quickly - and get a little ansy - so it is easier for me to be invisible - then I don't get pestered

we went to MNSSHP two years ago and all we did was get autographs - I couldn't justify to pay it again this year - we might go in 3 or 4 years in October and do it again - when the kids are more interested in rides than autographs - I think October is so light that it is hard to justify the party for the rides etc - you can ride anything anytime you want - for the parade it is worth it - it just isn't on our list of favorite things

Whats with all the DH bashing about gifts that were given?

I would never bash for a gift! I got what I asked for. But why bash me for what I wanted is more like it :confused3

I found some at AC Moore after I bought 20 of them in Cape May... nice brass bottoms with a sensor so they come on at dusk, off at dawn....

It is a good thing that I live in the Central time zone. Otherwise, I'd never be able to keep up with you late posters!

I love the pictures with Tink on the shoulder. My kids think I'm nuts because I have become a Disney addict. I spend all year looking forward & planning our next trip. My DH is almost as bad as me so that helps anyway.

The Walt Disney World frame is one of the best gifts that I've ever seen. How very thoughtful to have the pictures already in place. I'm a procrastinator so the frame would be sitting on a shelf waiting for me to pick out the pictures. When my oldest graduated, we had to take the school picture frame down from the wall and put in the last 7 years worth of her school pictures (it had hung there without the new pictures all those years).

Well, I'm off to bed. I feel like I've been looking in on all of your lives for the last month and look forward to possibly becoming part of your lives. You are all a very generous and friendly bunch. Talk to you tomorrow.

Welcome!!! This is the best place in the whole world wide web...

Bar none. Really.

Strangest place but I bought some at Office Depot last year after X'mas for half price. They look really elegant with the brass base.

Ah gifts......

This year my Dsil went out on Black Friday and bought what he wanted for Christmas and also a gift for the two of them. ( large screen tv/dvd/vcr for the bedroom and a dual screen car dvd player for the Explorer... his gift. :flower:

My daughter bought her gift from him last week. (an 8 gig Creatvie Zen with picture/video screen. Like an Ipod nano, but an MP3 player...

My son spent Christmas evening fixing my computer so it would download to the Mp3 players. They have a 30 day free subscription to Rhaspody.

I bought a McNabb jersey for me from my DGS and Mickey flannel sheets from my DGD. This works out so much better than me depending on them to find what I want... They also got me the Oprah 20th year DVD set I wanted and an Entertainment book, which I love.

I sorta overdid it with the American Girl stuff. This doll has more outfits than I do..... Plus Coconut the dog and the dog carrier. Both hair thingies. Ball gown. Cheerleading outfit, 3 regular outfits. Matching doll and girl pjs. The American Girl suitcase to hold it all.... Two books. An American Doll minature, so the doll can have a doll. Yes, insane. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

And I've Elmoed my DGS to distraction. I have the papers that say we will go to Hershey to see Elmo. Second row! VIP seats. Presales. He should be in heaven, hollering feet don't fail me now!

When DGD went, Elmo came off the stage to touch her hand. Thought she would faint. It was great, The best time.

we just need to make sure DGD sleeps and is read for food by 3:30, so he will be ready for the excitment. Elmo!!!

Maybe by next week, he'll be okay with the Elmo knows your name doll calling his name and that of his sister and Mommy and Daddy. I think it freaked him out..

Bla, blah, blah, it's after 3:00 in the a of the m........

Nitey, nite. I've got to watch the DGD and we're going shopping with tinker1bell.

How's Chuckie Cheese sound for lunch tinker1bell??? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks for this. I ought to be able to come up with something quite "fairy" with this. I'm making her some flower fairies, and she and her friends will watch the movie "A Fairy Tale" about the 2 girls from England who "captured" photos of fairies. Any other ideas?

Make sure you take photos to show us all - and as for other ideas... well you have to get Tinkerbelle in there somewhere :goodvibes

No doubt! I was so mad after our trip in February when I realized just HOW expensive they were .. and all the time we wasted letting them photograph us! Boy was I ticked!

Then, we (DH and I) put our heads together. We try to stay on the side of good ......

I'm glad you figured it out :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts about the tree. I lost 3 ornaments I really cared about that I cannot replace easily. They are real eggs (just the shells) that are hand painted. DH and I got them in Salzburg, Austria in 1999 for our last big trip together before kids. (That's the trip I got pg). So, I am sad about those.

My mom has a friend living in Germany (works for FedEx), and she travels a lot. She's going to see if she'll go to Salzburg for me to get a few ornaments for next year. I just told DH that now he owed me another trip to buy new ornaments! :rotfl2: BTW, Salzburg is the most romantic and beautiful city I've ever seen!

Oh, and DH and I just bought the most gorgeous tree at Pottery Barn while we at the mall. It is 9ft tall, has over 1000 lights, and is absolutely magnificent. Originally it was $500, and we got it for $200! Great deal, and now I'm ready for next year!

Well we pretty much figured out you think its romantic since you came back with triplets as well as some christmas decorations :rotfl: Would it be safe to make a return visit!!!

9ft?? We thought our 7ft6er was a beast - it was the tallest we could have as it touches the ceiling :goodvibes

Welcome, UP Disney

Paul, no complaints here about my Christmas gifts, my husband has good taste. :) He even picked out the new furniture this past spring. :goodvibes

For Chritsmas I got the 2 Disney snow globes that I posted way back, a Winnie, Eeyore & Piglet throw and he found a cool Mickey record player on eBay

Hey we got a new visitor! Welcome to the DDA - stop by anytime and say hi :goodvibes

Why oh why are the DDA always plagued with PC problems?? I just managed to delete everything on my DHs second hard drive... don't ask how long story - but it includes all of our digital photos from our 2003 WDW trip and our kittens and friends weddings...everything except the recent trip which are on my laptop...

I realised what I had done and calmly searched google for a recovery programme... it located all the files and then said I had to pay £35 to retrieve them... now I would usually continue to search until I found something for free - but thought hey my photos are worth far more that £35... at which point it hit me what I had done and I spent the next half an hour in tears!!! :scared1: :badpc: :sad2: :sad1:

The programme seems to be working though - if not very slowly - and fingers crossed there will be enough space on the other hard drive to recover them all to.

I don't need this stress today - I'm too tired from the xmas festivities!

I need some PD to make sure it all comes out ok :sad2:

Tammy, I must say that I really loved Chip and Dale at the LTT. They were the greatest. After my sister (tinker1bell's sister) nearly ripped Dale's arm off, Chip came by and she told him that he was her favorite. Well he kept coming back, flirting with her, kissing her and even taking her napkin, getting her to stand up so he could kiss her behind the napkin and even picking it up and then tossing it on the floor for her to pick up :rotfl:
Of course she was just eating all of this up and was in heaven.
We were at LTT the same time as you were and Chip was awesome! I told the CM with him/her that he/she was the best we'd ever encountered. Chip is DS's favorite and Dale came by twice, but no Chip. Finally toward the end of the meal Chip came and I told him that DS had been eagerly waiting for him. Well, DS was dressed as a pirate and there was a girl one table over dressed as a pirate also. Chip pulled her up and started sword fighting with her then pulled DS in front of him to "protect" himself. Then he fought with DS a little, then lots of hugs and lots of pictures. He came back a few times also. He was great!

Hmmmm...maybe now I know why it took Chip so long to come to our table :teeth:
