And you mentioned about breakfast. Years ago my sister and I compained we could NOT eat two dinner anymore! We convinced our Mom to do Christmas breakfast instead of dinner. We used to have eggs and stuff ... but also had pies and cookies with eggnog! (mom was not about to be cheated by the fun stuff) This year breakfast was bagels, cream cheese, Grands cinnamon rolls, juice, coffee and Christmas cookies! As you can see, I sort of toss out nutrition on Christmas day.![]()
DH is under strict orders NOT to film me at all!!!!
As for breakfast, the kids have toast and O.J., and then we open stockings. While the kids are doing that, I put the overnight French Toast in the oven. This year I tried a new recipe, Praline French Toast. I didn't have any, but DH said it was yummy! I also made a delicious, grape salad, caramelized bacon twists, and hot apple cider. We pigged out on all that and then the kids went back to the candy. I generally throw nutrition out the window on Christmas day, too. It's one of the only days a year I will let my kids eat candy before noon. Easter's another one.
