Denise -- hopefully you and Rees are also on the mend

Rees went to school today (no V/D in 24 hours and fever free), but he cried getting out in car pool line and then the teacher said he laid down most of the day. He wanted to go for the party. I started an antibiotic, so hopefully I'll perk up fast. I think he is just wiped out, and I'm so glad that vacation starts Friday!

We did the "tourist" thing in the city...saw Santa at Macy's & then took the kids to the top of the Empire State Building. It was soooooo cold & windy up there.. :cold: my ears hurt! The kids thought it was fun.

Wow. That sounds so fun. all we have here in Atlanta is the Pink Pig at Macy's.

Deb, that's great news about your Dad!

I'm trying to finish painting my house and putting Christmas decorations out. You tired of the snow yet? I could really use your energy around here :teeth:

I'm not sick of snow yet. The kids love it and have spent a lot of time playing in the snow. They like to get pulled on a tube behind the snowmobile.

Deb... what happened to Dad? I asked for updates but no one gave me any, so I am way behind :(

Did you see where I thanked you some pages back? Thanks so much!!!

You are very welcome. My Dad was driving a dump truck that was hit by a freight train. He had a small brain bleed and lots of body aches. He was left with vertigo. He spent a couple of days in the hospital and is now feeling better. The vertigo isn't completely gone, but much better. He is very lucky to be alive. Here is the picture of the aftermath.

Not that it really mattered that I declared that I was on design hiatus :rotfl:

I have things under control again and am officially lifting my design request ban!

Uh oh, Kate - watch out!!!! :earseek:

I don't know how you guys keep up with all the requests - you are all way more creative than I could ever hope to be! :flower:

Gosh a lot to catch up on -

Elin and Jennifer - Have fun on your trips this week. I am more than a little jealous.

Denise - Glad you and Rees are starting to feel a little better.

Alyssa - start to feel better soon. Mommy will take really good care of you this week so you can see Mickey next week.

Deb - glad your dad is feeling better. I am sure it was a big step for him to even get into a vehicle.

Kate - really cute top 10 list

Jennifer - glad your tests are all done. congrats.

Amy - we'll see you when you have time to stop by

Marci - more good wishes for your DH. I am sure that with all of these opportunities, the right job will come through for him. What an awesome Christmas present that will be for all of you.

Any other big news I missed? I'll check and be back.

My DS 11 has broken my heart. I am absolutely devastated and not sure what to do.

He wants to either go to Sea World on our next trip or wonders if we could go to Universal. :earseek: :earseek: He is also afraid to mention it to me, I might get mad at him. :rotfl:

I had already thought about adding a couple of night in August at Universal. I have heard we need to stay on site to use the front of the line passes. He is afraid that I will be upset if he doesn't want to do all Disney all the time.

This time we will still do some WDW because we have APs that are good through November, but I guess we might have to do some off-site visits also.

That is perfect for a Christmas card! How do you get them all to smile and cooperate at the same time? I only have one and I've been trying to get a good Christmas card picture of him for a week!

Jennifer,
Just do belated baking once you get back. Who cares if Christmas might be past. Just bake your holiday goodies you enjoy. If you enjoy baking I would definitely still do it, even if it is in January or some other time during the year. Who cares if other people think it is strange.

Becky

Very true! And after Christmas, we have NO residency trips until January 2nd!!!

BRIBE! Actually, they are still in photo mode from the trip. :rotfl: That was the only shot I took. Amazing!
