IT'S SUPPOSED TO RAIN EVERY SINGLE DAY OF OUR TRIP! :earseek:

It went from 3 days, to 4, now every day. :guilty:

Keep in mind, it's Florida rain...not like Cincinnati. That means, maybe an hour long shower, hopefully when you're inside enjoying a meal. Otherwise, time for shopping or even riding rides (like Denise said, low crowds! :teeth: )

Don't stress!
Amy :)

Hold off all liquids and NO FOOD for about 3-4 hours and then try small sips of clear liquid (Gatorade or Pedialyte). If he cannot keep that down or starts to get dry tongue, lips, or you pinch his skin and it stays "up" call your doctor. Kids get dehydrated very quickly. Do not give him any meds for the diarhhea, as it can actually keep the bacteria/virus in their system and make them much sicker. I'll be on tonight, so keep posting or PM me.

Dollar Store ponchos, 2 or 3 pairs of shoes, an umbrella...

AND HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!! It rained every day on our Disneymoon, and we had a blast. :earseek: :rolleyes1 The crowds are smaller and all of the rides were still open.

That's good that they were still open. I went in HS and our showchoir literally rode like... Space Mountain all day. That was about all that was open.

I think I'm getting paranoid since I'm trying to make this perfect. My family just hasn't been to the World and won't be able to afford to go back (unless something unforseen happens)......... I just want them to experience it right. :guilty:

Thanks though. We have ponchos stocked up (maybe I jinxed us..... :confused3 ), I have crocs (they can deal with their own feet ;))

I guess I'll just take it as it comes. What choice do I have, reall?

I asked for updates but no one gave me any, so I am way behind :(

There's a catch-up list posted on page 1118...that is quite a few pages back, but it's just from the other day. :teeth: I can't take credit for the whole list...I had to cut and paste.

Thanks.... :goodvibes

I DEFINITELY know it's not like Cincy! Just so long as the rides and stuff are open...

I'm doing my best :goodvibes

I have found that when we pack our ponchos, we end up not needing them! :goodvibes So, take them with you every day, and who knows, that rain may just stay away.

Also, I know what you mean about trying to make the trip perfect, but with ten trips under our belt, we have had our share of ups and downs. Take one day at a time and try to relax, or you won't truly be able to enjoy yourself. :wizard:

Don't stress, Jennifer! I've found that sometimes, the forecasts just aren't all that accurate. I know Accuweather was projecting a lot of rain for our trip, and we only had rain on our first day and a half. Even the local Orlando station was reporting that there would be lots of rain the night we did MVMCP, and by 4 p.m., it was blue, clear skies. I like to think it was a bit of Disney magic!

And like everyone else said, the crowds will generally flee! I can remember heading back to the MK once after a dinner off-site when I was in high school. It was literally pouring buckets and buckets of rain, and my high school boyfriend had proclaimed my family insane for going back to the parks. We got a front row parking spot, and by the time we made it off the monorail at the MK, the rain had just about stopped, while thousands waited in line to exit the parks. Don your poncho, and just do it!

Denise, your Christmas card picture is awesome!

I'll have to get Kevin to post ours. (I really should learn how to post pictures! :teeth: )

I'm taking a cookie break. Three batches done, one to go. And then, the frosting begins!!! Kevin is the best helper. :goodvibes

Be really careful. This happened to my DS when he was barely 1. He threw up for about 11 hours off and on. We took him to the ER and he was so dehydrated they couldn't even get an IV started. His veins had collapsed. He had a really advanced case of Rotovirus that really set him back. By the time he was let out of the hospital, he had forgotten how to crawl and could barely sit up by himself. It really set him back. I just kicked myself for not getting him to the doctor sooner. DH is one of those men who always say, "he'll be better in the morning." But he wasn't. He looked like a little ghost; so white and still.

I'm sending lots of :wizard: for your little one.

You are very welcome. My Dad was driving a dump truck that was hit by a freight train. He had a small brain bleed and lots of body aches. He was left with vertigo. He spent a couple of days in the hospital and is now feeling better. The vertigo isn't completely gone, but much better. He is very lucky to be alive. Here is the picture of the aftermath.

Well, I'll be fine. Kyle and I have plenty of trips behind (and ahead)... just not sure how often we'll be able to take them along! This trip is already the shortest we've taken!

I'll be sure to bring the ponchos, though... you're probably right about them chasing rain away!

I checked accuweather (had looked at Weather Channel site)... it sounds a little better, so I'll take that one, please :rotfl:

I hear you! I stopped looking at the Weather Channel's site about a year ago because I didn't like the forecasts it kept giving me! :teeth:

It rained a couple days last week and our last day :( I didn't like it much at all. It can get kinda cold so just make sure you have a sweatshirt handy. With the right planning, it can be FUN, just plan warm and rain gear. Rides are fun either way!! :)

Quick question for those of you around now:

Do you prefer trip reports where each day is a thread or one continuous thread with updates?

Just curious, as I plan on starting soon :goodvibes

This is a list compiled to help Denise catch up and I'll add a few things :teeth:

We are trying to plan a DDA meet this summer = almost definitely in DC (july 14-16)- maybe in Atlanta too!

Kate has some wacky idea for a live delivery room thread (not gonna happen! :teeth: )

Deb's dad was in a bad accident but thank God walked away from it

Rosiejo is home

Brenda is moving to atlanta

We got a new board - Baloo is our moderator

We started a birthday sticky

Lots of recipes shared

Lots of christmas and snow pictures shared

Pixie dust for everyone's upcoming trips...lots of people are in single digits!!

Marti and Kate are talking a lot of people into joining DVC

Jennifer had computer problems right before finals, Kate tried to help (that took up a lot of pages. We were all so concerned), she finally took it to the Apple guys and they were able to fix the problem and save all the data. She left again for another residency trip

Some people want snow, others of us have had ENOUGH of it

Kate went on an oreo eating binge and wishes she could get us all Diet Coke ornaments for her tree

Brenda's dishwasher caught fire, but all is okay

Baloo is looking for Ebay/Paypal advice

Steffy is determined to get caught up on this thread

Julia's teachers think Kate is pregnant because Julia drew a picture at school

Denise is home...had a fantastic trip, but unfortunately, Rees is sick and Denise isn't feeling well either

Yesterday, there was actually lots of talk of t-shirts!!! :earseek: :rotfl:

Amy :)

Thanks for that! I feel "connected" again now!

Hold on tho, I didn't hear anything about your being pregnant????? what happened there?

Fires and accidents and babies and moves and oreo eating and snow and trips and cooking! WOW!!

I am back at work and just catching up on life, still got pictures to go through and trip report. YIKES!

Keep a close eye on him. When my oldest 2 were ages 3 and 5 they caught the Rodo viris which is one of the 24 hour bugs that goes around every year with the vomiting and diaherria. They both wound up lathargic and dehydrated and had to be admitted for a couple of days for rehydration. The 2 yr old was admitted one day and the other the next morning. Thankfully they put them in the same room so I could take care of both at the same time. It was horrible. They had to both be put in diapers because they just couldn't make it to the bathroom.
