I am hoping to keep my dress on as long as I can...but cruise brides...how long does it take for official photographs?? Will we be able to enjoy the rest of our evening? (We're doing a 3-night cruise)

Also, for the photographs...do DCL give you background and pose options? And do they take you to different locations around the ship? Also, what time does the ship leave Nassau, will we see a sunset (we're cruising in August)

Thanks a bunch!!

We had the photos the next day. Our photographer was pretty flexible with where we wanted to go. I wish I had written a list of absolutely needed shots, because after seeing all the others on this board, I would have liked to have done a few more. Also, I didn't have the option of the CD, but I guess now you do, so you can have all of your pictures.

Don't know about the Nassau thing, Patty could answer that better.

Have fun

Wow! That's beautiful! I want to have a DCL VR for our 25th wedding anniversary in 2010. I was on DCL in October and we spoke with someone onboard about it. I'm just not sure how many friends would be willing to come on the cruise with us. I guess I'd need to figure all of this out but I know it would be less than 20 people.

I'm going to read through this thread to see what to do and what not to do from all of you "experts". Annmarie

We originally thought it would be just the 3 of us, and just kept telling others about it and ended up with over 20 people. Right now, Disney is offering some really good deals so now would be the time to book and talk it up to the family and friends....tell them it would make a great Christmas gift!!!

we have 18 total right now, hopefully if the deals keep up, we can add a few more. And I plan on wearing my dress all day long, to dinner and the clubs that evening!! :cool1:

Hi Cheryl and thanks for your comments. We were planning a trip with about 19 people but once everyone saw the price of cruising in June 2010, everyone said maybe they would be willing to go to WDW instead. To me though, getting married on the ship is very special to DH and I so if it ends up just being us that's okay too! I'm sure there will be plenty of people we know from the DIS or others that may decide they want to join us.

I'm glad I found this thread because all of you are supplying great information. Thank you! Annmarie

I want to wear my dress too!! I may actually change after the wedding to enjoy CC but afterwards, why not, right? Milk it for all it's worth!

That's right....and if it is a haltar style, you will be all set for the beach!!!:rotfl:

i would totally go swim at CC then that night, put my dress back on and go clubbing in it!! You are a bride the ENTIRE day!

That's what my wife did. Our friends took the kids to the beach while we did pictures around the ship. We changed and spent a couple hours on the beach with them. When we came back, we dressed up again for dinner. We did change again though after dinner since it was the last night and we wanted to be sure Linda's dress was packed up and outside the door by 11:00 so we didn't have to carry it off in the morning.

Hey Mike! Where you been?? We want more pictures!!!

hey VR's!!
I have put up a good portion of my trip report..I know..it only took me 4 months

I came back from the cruise and went straight into rotations for school. My spare time on the DIS has been spent on my new cruise thread for 2010.

I was playing around in Photoshop with color and black & white. I only did up one picture really quickly, but I like it. I'll have to play around with some more.

I haven't caught up on the thread, but I see some new posters, so i'll post a link to our VR pictures, if anybody who hasn't seen them wants to take a look:

Woo HOOO!!! so exciting! Wait till you get the kit when you are 30days out!!

:lmao: my planning kit says it needs to be back October 10th!! :lmao: I wanted to return it last night!!

Jennifer....Does you picture package say you only get 75 pictures on a CD....I had a nice fight onboard with the photo department to be able to get all of my pictures on a CD. They even had to call Cathy stateside to confirm which package I recieved in the email. If you did get the one tht says all pictures on a CD hold on to it and take a copy onboard with you. It helps the fight!
