jennifer - My paperwork from last summer shows the calla lily only as a $50 upgrade. You don't get a floral call. I sent pictures of what I wanted to Cathy and SHE had a meeting with the floral. i was ecstatic with my floral! It was exactly what I wanted

I think Elvis was good at picking shots but his flash was too hot..that was the biggest complaint

I loved my flowers too....I paid $50 extra to get them larger, but they were just what I wanted! I too sent pictures to Cathy!

I've decided to go with the standard ivory and pink rose bouquet. I think it will be very pretty.

I have officially confirmed with Cathy and received my planning kit.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

that is all.

Congrats!:woohoo: :woohoo:

what?? The CD is suppose to be ALL the pictures..that is why it is $$$$$$
I know someone who got all 200, no problem

We got over 350 on ours (We paid for an extra hour of pics around the ship ahead of time). Our photographer did say that prices were going up on the cruise after ours, so they may have changed the CD to only include a limited number of shots.

We picked out our pictures for the package the night of our VR since we did it on Castaway Cay, which was the last day. We picked everything up in Shutters after breakfast on debarkation morning. I felt that was a little rushed and we were exhausted, but there really was no other way.:confused3

The "folio" is the black folder type frame (imitation leather?). you can put in one of the stock DCL photos and one of your own.

As far as flowers, we went with the calla lily tropical bouquet, and Linda absolutely loved them! Yellow roses are her favorite flowers. She was able to take them off the ship with us. They stayed pretty god through our stay at Universal, but were starting to wilt pretty bad by the end of the trip, so we didn't bring them home with us.

We also paid to upgrade my boutenniere to a calla lily, got calla lilies for the boys, and a calla lily wrist corsage for the girl (instead of a $125 bouquet for her.) You can see the kids floral in the pics on post 574 page 39. Here's a close up of Linda's bouquet:

i traded my folio for some pictures. I didn't want a big 8x10 of the ship since I have many..Shutters was pretty accommodating with trading the folio and Lifestyles

I think i'm just going to go with the calla lily one (not the tropical one) in Pink but i would like to see if they can add a few tulips in. I'm going with Silk, so hopefully it isn't too big of an issue. I think i may just have them do the Rose Wand too. Sure i could make one, but i'd have to do a few trials and probalby end up spending more than the $25 anyway. :rotfl: but I'll be bringing my own basket and rose petals. I'm trying to figure out table flowers too. I'm thinking something very basic and simple, like a large rose head floating in a shallow vase, or maybe a bright pink Calla Lily in a tall thin vase. Not too sure.....have to think about that.

what table flowers? For your sand ceremony?

Does DCL do silk? I didn't know that!! I would have thought about that!

I need you to PM me your email so I can send that thing we was talkin 'bout!

I've been lurking here for awhile... finally have read all the pages! Whew!

I've booked Castaway Cay for our VR on the 11/07/09 Eastern!! Several months ago I saw some pictures of a VR on CC and DH and I were sold on it. I want to get married, barefoot on the beach! I wanted that for our first wedding (it will be 17 years at VR time), but also wanted a church wedding... church wedding won out. We wanted a WDW honeymoon, but were 22 and broke, so a quick drive to San Diego was it. We have convinced our parents to join us on this cruise (!) so I am a wee bit apprehensive about both sets of grandparents (who have never cruised) joining us and the kids for a week. I want this to be low stress!! Aloha wear for us all.

So it will be:
Me-Christine
DH-Stew
DD 12 - Rachel
DS 9 - Kyle

plus both sets of grandparents, and possibly a third set of grandparents (DH's dad and stepmom).

I am thrilled that we can have the reception in Palo on a CC day and have the kids there! We just got off the Wonder on a 4 night and loved, loved, loved DCL. We had already booked the Eastern when the dates came out last year, but rebooked onboard, and were able to book the relative's rooms as well with the discount. :thumbsup2

I've loved looking through everyone's trip reports and pictures! It's given me great information.

What "else" do we get with our VR besides the bouquet/boutinniere, ceremony, music, cake, champagne, Palo meal for 2, and 105 day booking? DH thinks we should have something "else" included for $2500 like my hair appointment or something...:confused3

Thanks for everyone's help! looking forward to getting started.

Nope, nothing else! But I assure you, my Dh feels the same way. :lmao:

Betsy - yeah, for the sand ceremony, and also for the cake table in Palo. I hope DCL does silk! never thought they wouldn't. :confused3 great, more to think about!! :lmao:

Jen - Are you getting the Palo Room for Dinner like we did? I really had to fight to get my cake set up in there..They hadn't ever done that before

There isn't much room on the cake table..I ordered roses from the outside person and the manager sprinkled them around the cake
These were the leftovers..they stuck them in a bucket

This is the cake table..my bouquet is laying in front of the cake

gosh lisa..your pictures are great..the sky was perfect..That day was overcast here, and I was afraid but when I looked on the Nassau it was pretty
Speaking of which, did you guys have a change in itinerary? I looked on the Nassau cam on what should have been the Nassau day and the ship wasn't there

No Change, non that I know of, our Wedding day was always Nov. 4.

We got on the ship Nov. 2, Nov. 3rd was Bahamas, Nov. 4 was Castaway/Wedding Day, Nov. 5 was day at sea and Nov. 6 was a sad day! LOL

The pictures all turned out so pretty! I am dying now to see my Magic Kingdom Pictures!

thank you...my bridesmaid RonnieJo's husband does an awesome job with our vacation video..I can't wait to see the entire thing!!

The cake reception is already in Palo because we are at CC. And i'm going to see if we can arrange for lunch served there rather than eat cake, mingle and relax, then head down for lunch before we go to CC. Not sure how easily that will be accomplished, but i'm going to try.

Lisa your pictures are beautiful!! I love them all!!
