The news story about that teacher is so upsetting.
Are you counting the minutes until warmer weather?
Maybe not counting the hours...but more like 2 days, 21 hours, 41 minutes and 29 seconds....
Of course, I woke up this morning with a wonderful sinus headache. (which is the way my colds start...so I have started my "get rid of germs so I won't get sick for a trip" routine which includes tons of OJ!
I'm so sorry for the things the MIL is saying. hours, Seriously, NOT her place!

for a trip...I'm so happy for you.
I guess my daughter is going to have to develop a thicker skin. She has been part of that family long enough to know that they will not change. It is hard for her to fathom a family that is so full of negativity. In our house if it wasn't nice you didn't say it...unless you were teasing...and we all know that while teasing can hurt, it is done in love. And if you hurt, you apologize. Her inlaw's opinion is that as long as it is either true or their opinion no apologies needed.
Disney news...
I added the dining plan to our trip yesterday! I know I should have done it at the beginning...but husband had not made up his mind (even though I am paying for it) so I waited. Almost too long. It has to be added before the 72 hour mark. As you can see from my count down above, I was just barely within my window...but there is no rooms available. Which is scarey!
Since it was a room only reservation with the military discount...in order to add the dining plan you have to cancel and rebook. Normally, they just do a flat cancel, refund the money and then rebook. But since there were no rooms, they had to do some trick-age of the system to make it work, and only a supervisor can do it... a little over an hour later we had it taken care of!
Of course...the CM I was talking to...has relatives that live in my neighborhood...and his cousin was one of my daughter's friends in high school! You have to know I live in a small town...very small town! He could not remember the name of the subdivision, but he could remember the name of a couple of the roads you have to go on to get there and I was able to fill in the blanks...like you go down Ho Hum Hollow road until you get to the gated community and then the road changes name.... Yup... that is exactly the way we give directions here! And yes...I was singing Its a Small World in my mind as we were talking!
However...Walton County Georgia is going to be very well represented at Disney next week...my husband has convinced a couple of other people that are tied to the school calendar that next week is a good time to go...so we have a school resource officer as well as a couple of school bus drivers planning on being at Disney !!!
Well, the Main Street Boutiques had our launch and it ended last night...as usual, I did not sell anything. I think this was probably my last launch with them. While I enjoy making the outfits, I do not enjoy the photography or the templates or the stress of trying to get it all done up to the standards of the group. It used to be a fun process from beginning to end...but now, I find it more of a chore than fun. So, between that and the tax ramifications I think I will do only embroidery for locals and maybe make one or two outfits a year. The grand Princess no longer appreciates the dresses, so at least I still have Miss Mia to sew for! (maybe my this time next year I will have another grand baby to sew for... wishful thinking?)
Any way.... can you believe I have not really started packing? All the luggage is upstairs, and on the dining room table...but nothing is packed. I have stacks of t shirts and blue jeans on the buffet...but nothing in the actual luggage... that should change today! Miss Mia's mommy has an appointment that I have to drive them to this morning...and then I will sequester myself in the packing center, not to be allowed out until at least 90% of the packing is completed! (so, of course, that means we will be going out to dinner tonight!)
In case you are wondering...there is a big sign on the back of my front door...it says "DON'T FORGET YOUR ID!!!!!"
Yup...that was my husband's contribution to the packing! LOL!
Have a great day!

PS...I did not want to close out without thanking everyone who commented on FB or here about the teacher in Atlanta that got off with the child abuse...this story hit VERY close to home... I really needed the justice system to throw the book at her to feel vindicated in what happened to Mr D. Not only did the justice system fail all those kids that teacher in Atlanta hurt, but it failed my son as well (even though he was not involved in that case) When I picked up Mr D yesterday...the teacher in question in our county...had the nerve to wave and smile at me as I was waiting in car pool lane..it was very deliberate and obvious. I pretended not to see her...after a few minutes she went inside. I'm sure she felt that the judge throwing the other case out means that she was within her rights to lock my child in a closet.... The justice system failed!
