Today is going to be a lazy day.
Sort of!
My house is a disaster, and we need a major shopping trip...and Miss Mia is bringing her momma and daddy to dinner tonight,
Exactly one week from this second we will have been on the road for an hour and will be just about to hit the interstate! (yes, I am in the Atlanta are where there are probably a million miles of paved interstate...and we avoid them until we are well out of Atlanta!)
I have a notebook with things I need to get done each day...the list of things that is getting carried over from the previous day is getting so long I might need to add pages to each day!
I have discovered that moving my office upstairs has only exacerbated the problem! when the computer/office was in the living room I could hop onto the computer while waiting that last 10 minutes for the laundry to get done...now I don't hear the laundry bell...so I find myself wasting time.
Eventually, having my office away from the family will make me more efficient, I KNOW this, but right now it is hindering me something fierce!
Add to that trying to get all the websites set up and changed with new log on info is the pits! My computer and the Tech support people don't like each other! (If I get told one more time that I should not have bought a new computer I will scream!) MY IT guy can only work for me on the weekends...so he can't talk directly to the tech support people... well you get the idea!
Last night we watched Sound of Music. Loved it again. It was actually the kids first time watching the whole movie. Mr D was a bit bored through parts of it, but Miss Bri was singing the songs at the top of her lungs. She knew the songs but did not realize they came from this movie! With each song she would remark that it was her absolute FAVORITE song from the movie...and then the next song would get the same response.
Of course, my two favorite songs she did not like at all....Climb every mountain...and Aidelviess. (which I understand is spelled wrong!) They are my favorite for sentimental reasons. We did the play in high school. While I was too shy to actually be in the play, I was on the stage crew...and in the chorus. So we had to teach the songs to the cast members. The girl who played Mother Superior was my best friend...and the Captain was her boyfriend. So those were the two songs I was in charge of making sure they knew. During that 3 month period I heard those songs at least a half million times a day! (only slight exaggeration!)
This weekend the packing gets to be serious! There will now be new consequences for even WALKING into the dining room (otherwise known as packing central!) I am still stressing over how to arrange the packing into some workable solution. Every time I think I have it figured out, someone decides they need something and go in to the luggage and mess up my system! There WILL be stiff penalties to pay!
Last night my son and daughter in law took the Grand Princess to see Disney on Ice. It was supposed to be her consolation prize for not getting to go to Disney with us (she STILL doesn't know about her upcoming trip in 3 weeks!)
My daughter in law goes into Atlanta for plays and shows all the time, but this is the first time the Princess has ever gone. They went to dinner in a fancy restaurant, did some sight seeing, saw the show and then
drove through the lights of Atlanta with the top down!
Well, the sun is up, meaning I have been up for over an hour and nothing done to show for it!Each day has seemed o get shorter by HOURS and HOURS!
