DISGUSTING! How dare the police do this...UPDATE #70!!!

You are mad because they caught kids selling DRUGS????????? You have got to be kidding. If that were my school I would be jumping up and down celebrating that they were doing something about the rampant drug problem in high schools today. The cops didn't ruin their lives, they may have SAVED their lives. What world do you live in???

ITA!!

wow...they were already ruining their lives using drugs, maybe getting them out of the school will help them get on the right track.............ok...sorry..just the point from a high school student
Well said, Erin. It would be interesting to hear the input from the other high schoolers that are here on the CB. Nice to hear a :sunny: viewpoint, Erin. :thumbsup2

Good job on the Narcs part! :thumbsup2 My kids high school just had a drug search last week. They went through lockers AND parked cars that belonged to the kids. I'm all for it - and my boys have no issues with it whatsoever.

I don't see this as "DISGUSTING" Young people doing/selling drugs to other young people is whats DISGUSTING AND AGAINST THE LAW.

Hey Queenie..welcome to Falmouth.
I can't believe that mom is more upset about her son being "trapped" than the fact that he is selling drugs. Just my opinion, but it makes me wonder if that parent is just as involved.

Many of my friends have kids in this HS and the kids are saying that this is only the tip of the iceburg.

I say, go get the rest of them...do whatever you have to to make that school safe for the purpose it was intended..to teach kids.
do you live here too??

thats a bit scary to me.. but I am sure this goes on at most schools

It is being reported that there were over 30 "buys" by the undercover cop. The kid who got her drugs once, thinking he would get in her good graces, was not involved in this event. She knew who the big sellers were after 30 buys, that is who they arrested yesterday.

If they weren't doing something wrong to begin with, they wouldn't have gotten caught!!

Police/Undercovers should do whatever is necessary to keep the laws from being broken, reguardless of the ages.....

I cannot believe the OP!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not like these were innocent kids looking to try smoking a joint for the first time... these kids were dealing. Hopefully this intervention by our friends from the narc squad is enough to get these kids to consider coming back to the mainstream of society!!!

Gee... maybe we should stop sending unmarked cruisers out into traffic to find dangerous drivers. :hippie:

I think she was being sarcastic......at least I hope.

I noticed on this thread there are alot of cape codders here. Not to get off subject, but I live here too, but noticed my profile doesn't have my address. Anyone know how to do this?
Grew up in Falmouth.... Good job police :thumbsup2
Live in Sagamore Beach..

I hope so too... but I'm not so sure!

I think the OP was being sarcastic.

We had undercover drug agents in my high school and I graduated in 1988. It was kind of strange - there was one guy who looked like a geeky IT expert. He appeared to be MUCH older than the average student, he carried a laptop to class, he stuck out like a sore thumb. The rumor was he was a decoy to distract the kids from the REAL narc, who was hot. In the end their "sting" didn't get nearly as many kids as they thought they would, but they got some. The rumor was there was a leak about who was going to be arrested so it didn't quite go as planned. Who knows?

Remember Johnny Depp used to be on "21 Jump Street" and that show was on before I was in high school. Narcs have been in the high schools for a very long time.

as a result, NINE young lives are ruined! After a 3 month undercover investigation, 9 kids ranging in age from 14-17 have been arrested for selling drugs. Total entrapment. Those poor kids. Minding their own business in their own HS, it is not like they were out on the streets selling, OH! and of course, the undercover cop was a very young looking, attractive woman! Geesh, of course those boys would get her the drugs she asked for, she was HOT.

I don't know what this world is coming to, when they can put undercover cops in the high schools.
:furious:

I guess you never saw "21 Jump Street"....

I do not think so, Debbie. OP last line, plus smilie, would indicate not.........

justplaingoofy, you can add that in your Profile in your User CP.

I just read this in this mornings paper...as soon as I read it, my first thought was "good job!" I couldn't believe that the mother was mad about the undercover work and not mad about her son selling drugs!!!! :confused3

If this were my DD's high school, I would be down at the police station applauding the officers involved.

OP ~
Since when is it okay for kids to sell drugs in high school as opposed to selling on the street? And who's to say they weren't selling on the street too?
ANd the "cops" ruined their lives  come on....they got themselves into selling drugs ~ they should be the only ones to blame for "ruining their lives" :sad2:

Back in 1976 they had "narcs" in my high school, one male and one female. It's really not a new concept. After several kids in our high school got busted, the "narcs" outted themselves and became permanent fixtures in our school ... plain clothes police officers who roamed the halls, looking for whatever. Sometimes it was hard to duck out, we had to time it right to make the run from the school to our cars. Since the two "narcs" couldn't stop us from leaving, they then stationed a security officer at the end of the driveway that would stop all cars and look for passes that allowed students to leave the school. High school was full of challanges. :lmao:
