Hugs, Shelby :grouphug: I hope things start looking up soon. Your aunt is in my prayers.

I haven't been on here in awhile (since we have Twitter and Facebook!), but thought I better check in and get caught up. There really wasn't much to get caught up on. I guess most of us are relying on our twitter and FB communications :)

I have a favor to ask all of you. I've already mentioned it on twitter and FB, but for those who aren't on there..... I nominated A Christmas Story House & Museum (www.achristmasstoryhouse.com) for the Shine A Light small business program sponsored by American Express. I really think they deserve to win. You can find out why by reading my submission here: http://shinealight.ivillage.com/sbo-profile/?ProfileID=1220 And then, if you could click the Endorse Now button, I would greatly appreciate it! You will have to sign up, but it should just be one page to enter your name/address. And you shouldn't get any junk mail from it. They need at least 50 endorsements (spotlights) to make it to the judging round. If they win, they get $100,000 in grant $ for marketing. I would get a $3000 gift card for nominating them :yay: I would have nominated them even without that because I think they are a wonderful company, but that's a nice bonus! Thanks for your help!

Well we are all checking in :)

I started a full time temp job at the Unemployment Office of all places. LMAO After a year of no job and collecting unemployment, I'm now there handling claims. I love it so far, after only 2 weeks it's still challenging and enjoyable. I like talking to the people, like the fact that it requires my brain to work and it's busy so the day goes FAST! Our state is in a hiring freeze, so they use temps to fill in. My friend started there a year ago as a temp and has been considered casual/seasonal for a long time. Meaning she is employed by the state, but doesn't work full time hours, which means no benefits, etc. She got me in there. :)

Wyatt has football 4 nights a week from 6-830, I have work every day, so does Jay. We've been shuffling the kids between different family members for 2 weeks now. Wyatt starts school on Tuesday & he'll be going to the Boys & Girls club every day for before & after school. Carson will start daycare on the 31st with my friend, but he isn't close to her so it will be an adjustment. After paying for childcare, we aren't going to be much better off financially, but it just feels good to work again. We are all exhausted at teh the end of the night these days though!

Congrats!! I'm starting work this week at my parent's tanning spa. They have two people on maternity leave and another about to leave. So, I figured I need a job, they need an employee - it's kind of a no brainer! :rotfl:

Hi ladies!

Shelby, I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. Hugs!

Heather I hope your garage sale went well! I'm sure you and the girls are very excited getting ready for Brian to come home tomorrow.

Hope all the kiddos that are back in school are doing well!

My weekend was quiet but busy. I had a lot of errands and chores to get done. Funny story: For you Days fans, they were doing some charity event at the hotel around the corner from my house...which also happens to be the hotel where my gym is. (I know, it's kind of weird that my gym is in a hotel.) Apparently I JUST missed Chloe and a couple of the guys (maybe EJ and Dr. Dan, or Dr. Dan and Brady :confused3) Kind of funny.

Hope everyone's week is off to a good start!

EJ would never had made it out of that building without me attached to his back! Oh, he's so hot.

:thumbsup2 I agree! The accent pulls me right in.

Oh, the accent is a bonus, but he can just be quiet and look like this ... that's all I need!

Oh, I'd never let him shut up! :rolleyes1 Can't wait for him and Sami to get back together.

Ok girls, I think my detox is complete! I stopped the guys tweets from being sent to my phone.:lmao:

LOL...ALL those men are hot. I won't lie. Part of the reason I dragged myself out of bed for the gym early was in the hopes of working out beside one of them, lol.

Hi girls!! I'm not a soap opera person so I'm not up on all the people you mentioned. But that guy you posted a picture of is pretty easy on the eyes. :)

Just checking in, still no dishwasher and the hot water is hit or miss. A guy was here today to check out the hot water heater and he ordered a part to fix the problem. :thumbsup2 Yesterday I went to the Dr about an MRI I had done on my knee, the report showed that I had something called mucoid degeneration of the ACL (which means the tissue was turning to jelly). The Dr told me I didn't have that at all and he saw no sign of it, I have tendonitis. That made me feel a TON better. :yay: I did however get a cortisone shot in the outside of my knee and it hurt like HECK!! Last night I was limping around like crazy it was so painful. But today it is SO much better!! Now tomorrow I'm headed with my hubby into Philly for him to see a specialist about possible surgery on his back. This is HUGE. If the Dr says he's not a candidate I don't know what he'll do, he said he can't keep living with all the pain. He's missing out on so much. :sad1: So say a prayer if you think about it. :littleangel:

Tomorrow we are 30 days away from our Disney trip and I am BEYOND excited. I have my grocery order all ready to place and I took Noah shopping so he'd have some decent things to wear to dinner. (nicer shorts and collared short sleeve shirts) Becca is all set, that girl has a crazy wardrobe.

I'm just kicking back and watching Big Brother and thinking of all I need to do. I haven't gotten ANY of the kids school supplies!! :scared1: I really need to do that asap!

How's everyone else doing!?!?!

Hi, ladies... just a few minutes of free time and I wanted to say hello. Brian made it home on Tuesday. It is so good to have him home! His homecoming hasn't quite been what we planned for. Some of you have probably seen the messages that have started to appear on my Facebook wall. My father passed away on Monday night after having a heart attack. It was a complete shock. My parents divorced twenty years ago and I haven't seen or spoken to him in 10 years. He was an alcoholic and chose the alcohol over my sisters and I. I told him 10 years ago that he had to make a choice. I had always hoped that maybe some day he would change, but it never happened. All that aside, he was still my dad and through all of the pain he has caused, there are still good memories and that is what I am focussing on now. I am so thankful that Brian is here, but wish that we were not spending his R&R this way. They are giving him extra time at home, which I am very grateful for.

Hope that all of you are doing well. Good luck to everyone whose kids are starting school soon! Enjoy what is left of your summer!

Heather, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Thank God Brian is there with you and he has been given extra time.

I'm SO sad to hear that Heather  I'm glad that Brian is home to help you through this.

 I'm so sorry about this Heather. :sad1: Just reading your post brought me to tears. So sorry for all the hurt you endured but also so happy that you are able to hold onto the good times and remember those things!!! I'm glad you not only have your sisters at this time but also your hubby. I'm thinking of you!!!!:grouphug:
