Sorry @Sandisw for posting too much info regarding a filtered site.

Not to worry at all!! Unfortunately it’s hard to discuss some things related to this topic with brokers in the filter!!

And, because the site doesn’t allow confirmed reservations to be shared, it can be even harder!

I think we all know though that there are owners who renting thousands of points out there who have decided to rent a lot of the rooms that are already hard to get.

I had to delete several posts because it appeared to be discussing a filtered site.

You may not discuss things you are seeing on any website without the link and if the link is filtered can’t discuss them at all.

General information across the market is fine. And yes, I realize it presents a problem in discussing things here

Remember, we do not people to share actual reservations out there being rented or for sale posts.

There's another rule saying you cannot ask why certain rules exist.

I think I can say that a rule against asking about a rule exists, if not, then this post will be deleted. At which points, you cannot ask why, because there is a rule against that as well.

This is privately run site and the owners of the site have made those decisions. Mods simply volunteer to monitor and make sure rules are followed

At which points, you cannot ask why, because there is a rule against that as well.

Well this thread hasn't been locked yet but it probably isn't long for this world. I'm just surprised we haven't been told that "ackshually, Disney rents more points than anybody" lately.

According to the contract between each member and DVC they are allowed to rent. DVC or Disney if you prefer are excused from not being allowed to commercially rent.

Means you cant say there is ******* among dvc members regarding renting because its the name of a popular real time chat app.

Right but that doesn't stop people who work for the DVC rental industry from pointing out that DVC rents out lots of points for some reason like it's supposed to prove something.

If think as with the DVC rental store that they don’t know or haven’t even read the rules otherwise they wouldn’t recommend renters to say they are guests of DVC investment LLC.
By not reading the rules they can claim if Disney can do it so can we.

I agree that encouraging people to say they are guests of an LLC is a crazy strategy for anybody familiar with the rules, but I am skeptical that they aren't familiar with the rules enough to know it's not permitted.

FYI…one sure way to have the admins decide to lock a thread is to question the decisions that are made by mods or the rules the admins have put in place

So far, this has been a healthy debate about the offical policy and other opinions.

I am sure we can keep it that way!
