OKW Lovers Thread. Part 2

Great to know. Thank you. Any advice for first time OKW guest?
We only stayed 1 time and for just 3 nights so I’m definitely not an expert. We really liked it though and are doing it as part of our next trip (split stay with BRV). We did brunch at Olivia’s while there and it was fabulous!

We stayed in building 14. It was right across from the HH house bus stop… very convenient!
Was parking at building 14 ever a problem for guests staying in that building? Someone said that sometimes people headed up to the main pool will park over in front of those buildings because the lot in front of the HH is full.

We didn’t have a car so i didn’t pay attention to the availability of spots.

Yes it can sometimes be a problem; you will always find a parking spot but it might be a bit of a walk from your building. Not sure if this is true only for the HH units or for the entire property. Still, it is a closer parking space to your unit compared to staying at any of the other DVC resorts other than Saratoga Springs; I think that that an OKW are the only ones with parking in front of individual units.

If given the choice would you guys pick bldgs 11,12,13 or 62?

it seems the 11-13 are a bit closer to the HH and bus stop but on the map not anything crazy in comparison to 62, but 62 does have the elevator.

62 is outside the near hospitality house category. You have 11,12,13,14 and 23,24,25,26 on other side of bridge.

Both areas are good without imo needing a specific request. Personal preference with some buildings further from the main roadway traffic. Have stayed in both locations and liked each. For the parks, HH is stop #5 and Peninsular Rd is stop #1.

If your family wants the shortest walk to both the bus stop and the HH which, would you request? :)

We were recently at OKW. The front desk manager told us that the resort no longer does the room assignments; it's done by a third party. It was implied that they see far fewer requests taken into account & have little control.

We recently stayed in building 17 in a 1 bedroom. It was a short walk to bus stop. The walk to HH wasn’t too bad. Had a good view off the balcony. We had a car, but we do take the bus to MK because it’s much easier.

If Disney Springs opens at 10a, what time will the boat start running from OKW?

Hello, I am sure this has been answered but I cant find the answer!

Where are the Studios located that are classed as 'near Hospitality House'?

Thanks!
