What, no up the nose shot? That top looks great and I love the ric rac! Which pattern is that one?

Does anyone make customs for others? We are going in March and I decided I better get some for my daughter since she'll outgrow them soon....
I have ideas I've seen and just need to find someone to make them.

Thanks-
Heather

Most of us who sew for others have our ebay ids in our signature. Look for them and pm one of us and I bet you will find lots of people willing to sew for you!

I need potty training pixie dust! We started yesterday going cold-turkey on the diapers (except for naps and bedtime). We have had NO successes! She has pooped in her pants twice and peeped at least 8 times in her pants. Please don't tell me she is not old enough - she is 2 3/4!

This is just so frustrating for me. I am trying to keep my cool but I am tired of washing out panties all day. I am trying to have her sit on the potty every 30 minutes (the timer is set) but that is not working either. She just goes a few mintues after we get up.

:tinker: I've had potty-training days like that. Hang in there. I know it is tempting to give up but It will get better! :tinker:

Yippee!!! I've caught up again!!

Nana arrived yesterday, and brought the girls some cute new outfits, and she's working on a few more while she's here. I'll try to post some pics later this weekend, because we're off to a cheer competition for Emily tomorrow morning, then off to WDW through Sunday.

All the new stuff has been amazing! And WOW, those cakes are awesome! I've always wanted to take a cake decorating class!!

As for the potty training, I really wish you luck! She may not be ready yet (I know that you don't want to hear that), but don't throw in the towel just yet. I was SO frustrated with Madison this time last year. She was almost 3, and she really wanted to go to "school" like her sister, but she didn't want to go on the potty. One day, we went cold-turkey on the diapers, and boy was I frustrated! But, after about 2-3 days and a TON of accidents, she finally got it. I figured that after a week (but I don't know if I could have held on that long) that if she wasn't making any progress, then I would quit and try again in another month or 2. But, I'm glad that I hung in there after the first day, because I was SO ready to quit.

Also, with Madison, I had to find her currency. So many people had suggested stickers, M&Ms, candy, etc. Candy had worked with Emily, but Madison was NOT interested! It wasn't until one day, I realized that she LOVED coins. Any coins, quarters, nickels, dimes, pennies. So, I put a cup of coins in the bathroom and if she sat on the potty, she got one. If she peed in the potty, she got two, and if she pooped in the potty, she got 5. And that worked!!!

Good luck, and peace be with you!!

This is one of my favorite cakes that I made. The reason it was one of my favorites is because it was totally my design (except for the wagon wheels). OT, but I wanted to share cause everybody else was sharing cake stuff.

Oh now that looks so cute!

That is so cute! I have yet to make my peasant top w/my pillowcase...agh! I love the Ariel...and your dd is adorable!!!

On a side note, I keep forgeting to tell you...my SIL's are in love with twilightmoms! They are totally addicted....:rotfl: :rotfl: They've already got the window clings in their cars!!! SO! Big thanks for that!!! I haven't signed up...one obsession at a time....

adorable! We are all day Kinder here, and its hit and miss for us. each day is ALWAYS different for Georgia.

I am so sorry, but I remember when my boss took that picture and that was a duplicate of a real cake. The icing is real, but the "cake" is styrofoam. The "dummy" was on display in the front window of the bakery for about a week or two. I can post some that are real cake if you would like.

This is a real wedding cake that I did. It's just a real simple one. I've done better looking ones. I think that my boss took the picture because it was my first wedding cake I did with columns in it.

My first basketweave.

My first sculpted duck. I'll see if I can find a pic of the goose that I did and won an award for.

Ok well with all these cakes, ya'll can't laugh at mine when I post it sunday. I am making a heart shape skull and cross bone cake for Georgia's party. But I will tell ya, it ain't gonna be like those! Those are AWESOME!

Here is my latest. Drew has been asking for this since I mentioned that I might do it (probably last summer) so I rushed through it. I am not crazy about it and I think I learned something important about myself....... I don't enjoy appliqeing. It's just not fun for me. I'm sticking to construction from now on.

I'm not going to tell you she's not ready because she might be, that being said, has she shown you the signs of being ready? Staying dry for around 4 hours at a time. Interested in the potty or other people going potty, that sort of thing.

My DD is 3 years and 8 months old. She was 3 years and almost 3 months before she was really potty trained. She fought me tooth and nail until I gave her the power back to get potty trained. I had read easily 15 books on potty training.

Here's what we did, we resorted to bribery of sorts, I had her pick out those little reward chart things at a teaching supply store and stickers to go with them. I asked her how many stickers she thought she should get for trying to go and actually going on the potty. She said one for trying, two for peeing, and three for pooping. Fine, that's what we did. She got stickers and M&Ms (in equal amounts) for every try she had. I told her she could work for one special toy as her big reward to getting potty trained. She chose this Reme (from Ratatouille) doll that talks and dances. She was able to see him the whole time but he was out of her reach. She worked very very hard because the ultimate goal was getting to go to preschool because our school wouldn't let her go unless she was able to potty on her own.

She worked so very hard to get done so she could get her doll and get to school. She's been dry since the very end of August. She has had only a few accidents, in fact, only about 4 total and most of them were in the beginning. She has also been dry at night and has only had a wet pull up at night a couple nights at the beginning.

Talk to DD about what's going on and see what she'd like as her reward. We also threw in extra rewards as a surprise, for example, DD was in love with nightgowns, after she'd been dry during the day for a week straight, we happened to be by the Disney Store so we let her get a new nightgown for being dry for a week straight.

Your DD may just not feel like she's got control of the situation. Just assure her that this is her deal and she's in control and you might be pleasantly surprised by the outcome.

We were having issues with #2, she would run to find a pull up to poop in but wouldn't poop in the potty. My mom asked me if she could offer a reward, I said sure, my mom asked DD what she's like as a reward for going #2 in the potty, she asked for another nightgown with matching slippers from the Disney Store, soon as she made that deal, she was actively trying, she was scared at first but she did it.

I'm sending you pixie dust, it's definitely a tough thing to go through but you'll do it.

Sorry so long. It's all fresh in my mind and we had started so many times without success, I was convinced that she wasn't going to be able to attend preschool this year because of it.

LOL... I'm going to have to embrace the applique stuff now, DD saw this and went NUTS. "I WANT THAT MAMA!"

And I swore today when I finished the embellished Ariel jeans that I was DONE with applique for awhile. Guess not. :rotfl: (I have to get her to stand still so I can take a picture of her in the jeans and top.)

The outfit is absolutely adorable. I love it.
Funny thing though, someone just asked me about selling clothes. I told them I love doing the appliques and embellishments but not the construction of a whole new outfit (although I'll do it if I want something particular). So how about you construct the clothes and then send them up the highway and I'll do the applique;) .

Hi guys - was looking around for the pictures of the cute beaded headbands. My DD4 is getting "too big" she thinks for "just bows" :sad2: and needs a headband like the big girls now. I would love to know where you found the beaded ones.

I know exactly what you mean. My two DS didn't care if they were wet or not. It's only day two so don't worry she'll do it. I agree with someone who said about the reward. I used little M&Ms. One for pee, two for poop. Then once they were finally done they got a prize at the toy store of what they wanted. I'm going to be doing that soon too. My DD2 turned 2 in Nov but she goes on the potty but not every day. With my boys it was spring/summer so they just wore shirts and no bottoms. Her it's too cold in the house for no bottoms.

Laura

PS I love the Hello Kitty outfit. Beautiful.

Made this today for my DD. I've been loving all the madras I've been seeing. When I found this fabric, I knew I had to have it.

I love that!

Those colors are going to look great on your daughter. I love pink and purple, but sometimes it's nice to see something in a different palette!!

I found the fabric at Hancock's. My DD does bright colors well. She's been running around in this dress since I finished it. I LOVE the way it looks on her. I think I'll be using this pattern again!

Very cute! I love the pattern and the fabric!

Okay, here is my CAMELOTCATS skirt :rotfl: I made it yesterday but my internet went down when I tried to get it into photobucket. Thank you Angela! Lily loves it and Jayden was saying she wanted one. I just did a 3-layer twirl skirt with a gingham underskirt. I'll try to get photos of it on her eventually. I was excited about all the long strips with no seams and went crazy with my ruffler then stitched rows together and made a seam up the back. Sadly I ran out of bias tape with about 8 inches left! So I have to run to the store before I can totally finish it. I'm just about done with a peasant top in the pink gingham, but not sure I really love it. The pinks in the gingham and the minnie don't quite match

I just wanted to let you ladies know that my JoAnn's had lots of their packaged stabilizers and elastics on clearance for .97 and 1.97. I stocked up on a few things!

Wow! That was FAST!

I am too having a hard time finding a pink to match.

I am going to take a sample of it to the fabric store and try to find a coordinate to go with it! Hope to work on it soon!

Those of you who have dress forms, where did you get them?

I thought I remember someone posting something as a cheaper way to have a dress form without buying a dress form - can they repost that?
