I finally got some pictures of Tessa in her Peter Pan outfit yesterday. She wore it to the birthday party of my "Bestest Friend in the Whole Wide World"'s daughter.

Here she is doing her Tinkerbell impression again:
DSC07025Small.jpg

Here is Ryen wearing the dress I made her for her birthday. Her mom actually squealed when she saw the dress and gave me a huge hug. :cloud9: Ryen loved it too and didn't want to take it off to try on the other dresses she got (which were cute, but not twirly). The underdress didn't look crooked like that in person, I swear.

And just because it's late and I have nothing better to do...
Tessa declares party days quite often and several days ago, it was my "love party". She made me a book and here are a few pictures from it.

DSC06921Small.jpg

I coudn't figure out what they were pictures of until I looked at the back of the Enchanted video (the cardboard sleeve) and realized she was drawing a deer and Giselle in her pink dress in the first picture. The 2nd picture is the evil queen. :rotfl: I just got a kick out of it! She also took these photos herself.

I finished this outfit for Violette...well almost....I still want to make the cloche hat to go with it but I have to buy some interfacing. Violette is only wearing the top in the pics because I hadn't done the pants at that point. I'll take another pic of the whole outfit once I do the hat. I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm really getting into sewing! Not bad for my 2nd outfit..hehe..

So pretty!! You are really doing great!!! Violette is GORGEOUS!

:rotfl2: :rotfl: I am laughing at the mental picture of her being a giraffe! How funny! I am sooo glad she likes this! And you too! Thank you!!!!!!!!
It was VERY funny!
Speaking of dreams...I had a dream that I was at a bounceland kind of place (you know with the inflatable jumpy things). I was climbing up into a multi-layer type jumpy thing and I became trapped between the inflatable part and the side and I couldn't breath. I woke up very skerred. That had absolutely nothing to do with anything, but I thought I'd share.

Oh, that sounds like a horribly scary dream!!!

Mine was much nicer than that. Dh & I were in Paris fabric shopping (don't I wish). It suddenly occured to me that we should go to Monoprix (it's a department store) & look at their sheets to see if they had coll Disney stuff that we don't have here. We found a Mickey/Minnie/Donald set, a princess set & a set with the Paris monuments on it. Very cool stuff.
Yes, yours was MUCH better! Shopping in Paris! That would be fun!
:rotfl2: I wonder if Disney would take 3 years of payments for a 2011 Sew Fest?

Can you just see all our little darlings parading through WDW in their customs? Course in 3 years, Pissy will be 6 going on 16. :guilty:

Maybe in THREE years I can drop my 40 pounds?

Where shall we stay in 2011? :confused3 I vote POLY, since we'll be making 3 years of payments. We can have Hawaii night at Ohana.

Sounds great to me! I've never been in the Poly, but is looks really neat in the pictures!

We were wondering when we were going to see Tessa IN the outfit! It looks really cute on her!

Ryen looks adorable in the dress!!! What a cutie pie.

Okay, yes, I'm still unpicking :headache: but I had to say, DH also told me 3 years before we can go back to Disneyworld (well he really said 4 years but I immediately changed it in my mind to 3 years) so I'm thinking we should start planning right now (we need something to plan for right?) for DISBOUTIQUER FEST 2011--and with 3 years to save, we can definitely go deluxe! Maybe even get an extra room to set up as a sewing room! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Woo-hoo!! I'm THERE!! The Poly sounds great to me! What thread number do you think we'll be on by 2011?

We are too much alike! Henry also said AT LEAST 4 years and I automatically changed it to 3 years. :rotfl:

That is very good!!! She is a little artist! I love the deer. I will have to show Uncle Brian that one! You tell her I liked it too! I need a love party....:lovestruc

Lydia just won't draw anything! Just scribbles! BUT, last night, she wanted to play school. And, she wanted me to tell her to practice writing her name. So far, she will only attempt an L, and it's not too good. She wouldn't even try the other letters, because, "She can't, she just CAN'T"...boo hoo..boo hoo.. "It's just TOO hard..." boo hoo boo hoo...... She is so worried she won't do it perfect, she won't even ATTEMPT it! But, she sat down at her desk last night and brought me a paper with a perfectly wrote "Lydia" on it! I actually thought she had had Arminda write it for her (and try to make it look a bit wobbly). But, she did it again "closer to you so you will see I did it myself." I know, not a huge accomplishment for a 5 year old, but I was so proud of her! :yay: :yay: :yay:

YAY LYDDY!!!! I knew she could write her name if she set her mind to it!! :lovestruc

I thought the deer was pretty cute, too! I couldn't for the life of me figure out what that evil witch was until I saw the back of the enchanted video!
She was drawing this while I was on the phone with you the other day. Remember she was whining because she "couldn't draw the boys" and she wanted me to draw it for her?

Hi Everyone- I am SOOOOOO Excited!!! My dh has oked a "side" trip to Disneyland the next time we go visit his Gr. parents in AZ. I know many of you have been to DL before so any help, tips, tricks, favorites that you want to share please post them to the thread I started on the Disneyland part of the boards or you can PM me. OMG that is the sweetest thing!!!! You need to save that book forever!!! I almost cried. Abby makes me drawings literally every day! She love to draw and is always making stuff for me. She has speech class on Tuesdays, and every time she gets done early, she draws a picture. Her teacher laughs becuase every time it's something Disney. Last time, she drew Jasmine and Cinderella and I actually recognized them!

Hello everyone. I need a bit of advice. My SIL is having a baby :yay: This is not the SIL, DB's wife, that thinks handpainted JoJo shoes are hideous and that custom boutiques are like costumes :sad2: This is DH's sister. She wants the gender to be a surprise. So I would like to make something for her but it needs to be gender neutral and reeeeaaally easy. Any suggestions???

Also, one of my best friends is having a baby too...a little girl. Any suggestions on something that is boutique style for an infant and easy???

Hey Calypso,

Nice looking Golden good luck at the show.. :thumbsup2

Kelly/ri

Thanks! Fenway there is very handsome too!

Ooooh I'm sooo jelous! I cant wait til my dog and I (mostly me) are good enough to compete in agility trials. I love dog shows, and most important, after visiting the ring side- I LOVE vendors!!

LOL I love vendors too but my bank account doesn't. We dabbled in agility a bit and have a couple of legs in NA and NAJ and it is a blast but I devote most of my time to conformation. We do have a Master Agility Champion in the family though and she is a daughter to my boy Disney that is in my signature line :cool1:

For all the dog lovers out there and everyone who remembers the pictures of my puppies from birth on...I'd like to introduce you to our newest addition. This is the puppy I kept and hopefully a future Champion. Her registered name is going to be Calypso's Hannah Montana and her everyday name is Miley of course :rotfl:

First of all, I want to tell you that your Goldens are gorgeous!!!

As for the infant stuff, I'm no help there, except maybe a quilt or something. I know someone else has better tips, though, so good luck!

It's been a while since I posted any pics but I am going to try. This is a dress my mom crocheted for my older dd when she was 4 (she is now 13). My younger dd who is now 4 loves it!

Thank you so much for your prayers. Teresa already answered, but I wanted to you to know I appreciate you asking about her.

Wow, I love it! I also love the super-cool poses! It's amazing how many different looks that one pattern has. The zebra is fantastic!

Your very welcome, I am keeping her and you guys in my thoughts and prayers! Please keep us updated! And thank you! Don't you just love her "poses":rotfl: I was cracking up at some of the stuff! All I asked was for her to look at the camera and she just started "posing" away! And I do LOVE that pattern! It is sooo versatile!

Tessa is adorable in that top and Ryen is as cute as a button in her new dress! You did a great job on both! I find it so funny that she gave you a "love party" because Sydni used that exact term to tell me what kind of party she wanted!:rotfl: She told me she wanted a "love party"1:rotfl2: LOVE her drawings! jSydni loves to draw so I have about 1,000 pics hanging all over my house!:scared:

Such a cute puppy!!!!!! As for making something for a baby, the only thing I can think of would be a dress of somekind! It is easy enough for a baby to wear and for diaper changes!;)

That Lydia, she is a funny little thing! So afraid of failure. Don't know where she could possibley get that traight from! :rolleyes1

I was wondering if that was the same picture Tessa was drawing when I was talking to you! I think that is just such a cute picture!

I always loved getting little dresses for my baby girls in a dainty little print. A little sundress with matching panty covers is always adorable. Just make sure not to use anything scratchy.

I'm not sure about the gender neutral outfit. I always liked the color mint green on both my son and girls. I'm sure someone will come along with a great idea!

Your puppy is so cute! I just want to pick her up and cuddle her. And, her name is great! Lydia and Arminda will love it when I show them!

WOW!! And you JUST started sewing?! My goodness, you DO belong here amongst the sewing elite! The outfit is DARLING!! Your daughter is too cute for words!!!

I can't wait to hear about your trip and see the pics!! Henry (the Disney-hater, see my siggy) says that we won't be going to Disney for at least 3 years after this next trip. I guess he'll just have to stay home while I take the kids! Perhaps I'll have to stay at a deluxe resort, just to show him. :thumbsup2

I've been practicing my eyebrow arch. Is there a special "We WILL be going to Disney World every year" eyebrow arch?

there IS a special "we WILL be gonig to Disney every year" eyebrow arch...You have to SAY IT "Husband we WILL be going to Disney every year", then do the eyebrow arch...then hold something menacingly over your head as though you may throw it...

it works...seriously...

It DOES!!!

:flower3: ;)
