This is adorable! She looks so cute in it.

Hi Everyone,

I have a quick question. A lot of you use the easyfit pants. Im not really good with patterns, so what I had done before was to just take a pair of pants that fit the child well and use that as my pattern - is that really bad???? Im tempted by that pattern, but not being good at patterns I'd hate to purchase it and not use it, you know?????

Thanks!! Wendy

I used a pair of shorts as a pattern. If they would've turned out nice, I wouldn't be buying the Easy Fit Pants. But, alas, my shorts look a bit kooky.

...but I had to share. Jenna got a paper home from school today that says she has all A's!!! I'm so proud of her. She was behind when she first started at this school and now she is on the A Honor Roll. :cool1:

Yeah, Jenna! You go girl!

OH MY GOSH- that is the CUTEST dress EVER!!! I LOVE IT!! I love, love, love the ruffle butt and the different colored straps. You really outdid yourself with this one! Tessa is going to be so jealous, because, as you know, no one loves Marie as much as she loves Marie. LOL!

I didn't realize it until I saw these pictures, but I think I just bought some of that blue dot fabric over the weekend at WalMart!

Definitely! I can't wait to meet Steph, Megan, and Jacob!! Of course, if she brings her hubby along, I'd be happy to meet him, too!

Thank you Heather!!! Tessa crackys me up!!!! Everytime I tell her that Lyddy likes Marie she tells me that!! "No one loves Marie as much as I love Marie."

Yeah, I guess she can bring the hubby with her!

Everything looks great ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wanted to say that my husband and I are Napoleon Dynamite fans too! I just watched it again this week -- I love it!

BTW, Teresa and Heather....are y'all going to give us a little preview of all your outfits before you leave and where they will be wearing them too????? hint hint!

I have to finish them before we can preview them! :scared1: Procastination is my middle name! (and you all thought it was Joyce!)

Oh Teresa, Lydia looks so sweet in the dress! How do you ever say no to that face, she looks so angelic! The dress is fantastic too! Great job!

Thanks! She does have a sweet face!!! Unfortunately I DO have a hard time saying no to her! She does have a temper to go with the red hair though, so that makes it easier!

OH MY BEAUTIFUL!
I don't know which is more beautiful!
Those pictures are PRECIOUS!

:worship: :worship: :worship:

Oh, you guys make me feel so good!!!

Hey, can you bring me my chapstick? My lips hurt really bad!

That is so pretty. I like the design that you came up with. It's very original.

Thanks! It took me forever to figure out what I wanted to do with the fabric!

1.):confused3 We do have a lot in common, glasses and hairstyles not withstanding :rolleyes1 :cool2:

2.)Yay for the Live updates! :cheer2: I wish I were going too! And we want photos of the Stephers meet!

1.) :3dglasses what's wrong with big glasses?? :rotfl2:
2.)I wish you were going too!!!

This looks adorable!! I love the ruffles in the back. Very pretty!!
Thanks Leslie!!! I've never done ruffles like this, and I was pretty pleased with how easy they went together! (and I hate to gather, so that's saying something!)
How adorable is that?!?!

I happen to agree, that's pretty adorable! thanks!

WOW WOW WOW! This is soooo beautiful! I love it, and Lydia is just beautiful! She looks sooo sweet!

Looks can be deciving! No, realy she is very sweet, unless she is mad! Then watch out!

Wow! Gorgeous! And the dress isn't bad either! I love Lydia swinging

I love the swinging picture too! She was having fun! I think the neighbors are starting to think we are a little nuts though, every day we are out there taking pictures!

I think I forgot to mention (in my glucose orange soda fog from last week) that I stopped at the sewing machine store (it's not a fabric store, just a machine place) on the way home from my doctor's visit and bought a ruffler (I was having a rough day, I needed retail therapy!). I have absolutely no idea how to use this thing! I read the directions but I need a specific formula thingy (I am one of those sick people who enjoy math and need the "rules" of it) and it doesn't give one! Do I just use trial and error to figure out how to set it? I think what I want is to be able to ruffle a 44 inch piece of fabric to 22 inches. Are all rufflers the same and has anyone figured out how to set it so it ruffles to that extent?

Oh, and I don't know if I let anyone know but I did get my test results back yesterday and I don't have gestational diabetes nor am I anemic! Yeah! Now if they could just figure out why my babies are so big!!! Please! Personally, I blame my husband. My sister and I were nice little babies (like 6 lb. 5 oz.). Normal sized in my opinion. My husband and his brother and sister were all small but my MIL has over a pack a day habit that she didn't bother to get rid of while pregnant (in her defense, my DH and his brother were born in '74 and '76 - I'm sure they knew it wasn't healthy but probably not to the extent they do now - it doesn't explain why with my DH's sister who was born in '83 she didn't stop then). Everyone on his side of the family is large even though they started out around 5 - 6 lb. My DH is 6'3, his brother around 6', and sister also around 6'. I blame him every time I get a chance! It is certainly not my fault (at a whopping 5'4") that I have such big babies!

LOL I have that whale fabric and am supposed to go find something to match it this weekend to make a strip jumper *I think* out of. So will you hold it against me if I use dots? :rotfl: I love them together and enver would have thought of it on my own lol.

Beautiful fabric! I love the dress!

Everyone has been doing such cute stuff! I wish I had more time lol.

Jenna wants to thank everyone for the nice things that were said about her getting all A's and she loved all of the smilies too.

She also decided that she is ready to learn how to sew. I let her use my machine tonight to make a bookmark. I have a couple of pictures. I will upload them when DH gets home and shows me how to upload pics from my cell phone. I would have used my camera but everytime that I take about two or three pictures the batteries die and I have to put new ones in it. :scared1:

I love that pattern. It is so much easier than a commercial pattern. I'm sure you wouldn't have any problems using it but if you're perfectly happy with the results you're getting I'm not sure you really need it.

I finished Lydia's Marie outfit this morning! I think it really turned out well! Lydia loves it too. She loves Marie.
WOW! Easy to see why Lydia loves it. It is beautiful!

:woohoo:

I made a Pooh A Line dress toinght and it looked great til we tried it on and it was about 4" too long. I don't know how I did that. It takes so much longer to fix an error. My DD fell asleep before I finished so I hope it looks cute now.

I really need to start packing!!!!!

BTW, Teresa and Heather....are y'all going to give us a little preview of all your outfits before you leave and where they will be wearing them too????? hint hint!
I was going to say that someone has to finish them before we can give you a preview. But, she beat me to it! :rotfl2:

Glad to hear your bloodwork came out okay!

I also wanted to comment that I'm 5'4" and my husband is 6'3" and he was 4lbs 11 oz when he was born and his mom smoked while she was pregnant in '74. I though that was an interesting coincidence.

Hey, can you bring me my chapstick? My lips hurt really bad!

Don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day...besides, we both know I've been training to become a cage fighter....:rotfl2:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Good girl, Jenna!
WOOOo HOOOOOOOO!

I am so glad to hear your test came back negative! I have to say though, I had gestational diabetes with my second baby and it really wasn't that bad! I stuck to my diet and never had to take any meds, and the diet was great because I only gained 16lbs the entire pregnancy!:yay:

OKAY, you all are crackying me up with this Napolean stuff! My dh and I have seen that movie 100 times!!!!! When I saw the pic that glorib posted I just had to show him and we were laughing so hard!!! That was just tooo funny! PEACE OUT!!!:rotfl2:

I made sophia a new dress today!! It is reversible! And I haven't finished the bottom yet. There was a diaper mishap while she was "trying it on" and it now needs to be washed before it can be finished :sad2:

This is why I haven't gotten one yet - I mean how do I know how long to make my ruffle fabric?? OR when I do one of Carla's patterns - how do I know what to set it at to attach say the skirt to the bodice??

Funny, I looked at your quote and realized I posted before I finished my sentence :rotfl2: I meant to say I love her swinging in the tree and we have two of those blue footstools. I need to give up and go to bed!
