thats great! You just reminded me of our local ice cream/frozen yogurt place..they ahve the BEST frozen yogurt ever..must save points to venture there soon!

Wendy: Yikes!! I hope this was the last time somethign like that happens! Poor kiddo :sad1:

Have a great day everyone...I have a sushi dinner ahead of me tonight..i am so glad i love sushi, its such a good low cal treat..as long as i dont' get seduced by the tempura rolls ;)

I love sushi I eat it once a week..I love spicy tuna rolls and edaname YUM!

my mom is 60 and i am 42 so if you do the math, she was a young mom when she had me. she has quirks that annoy me but usually we get along fairly well but i just really got my feelings hurt. she has apologized for the way she acted and i know eventually i'll get over it but i'm not there yet. i feel like i am a teenager again. i know some of you will be able to relate - even as a teen "I" was the grownup.

unofficial weigh in-
I saw the scales go below 170 again- holding at 168 for 2 days now maybe it will stick by friday.

Been a little sad- and not eating as much which is a change I usually overeat when something is bothering me-

My mom hurt my feelings- I'm still not speaking- I'm sure I will but we had some heated words and I'm not over myself yet.

Going to Disney this July for dance trip. Asked mom in october when I made the ressie if she wanted to go but also let her know I could not pay her way like I did last year and she declined but at the dance competition this past sunday when some of the dance moms asked her if she was going - she pointed her finger at me and said no, that i didnt invite her and that she had those 2 weeks off anyway and guessed she would just have to find her own way down there- making me look like the meanest person ever- I was so embarrassed- she made a big show about how I wasnt letting her go, that it was all my fault. I tried to talk to her Monday and told her I was mad and reminded her that i did ask her and she told me she didnt remember the conversation- just being really childish and selfish- alot of yelling and crying on my part-

I have taken mom to every compeition event the girls have been in this year and have paid for everything- so it really hurt for her to embarrass me like that-

I love my mom, because she is my mom- and I am hoping that I wont feel the way I do right now for long-

Thanks for listening.

 Sorry your mom is upsetting you.

168... I saw that number last weekend and am afraid to weigh again since TOM hit since. I am keeping that happy number (since it is the 50 lb mark for me) in my head, it is helping me get through th eweek.

I spent $50 on groceries yesterday. I never spend that much on groceries. I still saved more then I spent, I think I just bought too much. And there was some stuff I bought yesterday that I really didn't need, like leeks, which are really expensive, but I thought they'd be nicer then onions in a quiche I'm making, and I bought this lemon grass paste that was on sale that I have no idea what I'm going to do with. And I decided to bake bread, so I had to buy a few things for that. I also bought $10 of WW desserts, and spent more then $10 on a year's supply of razors, so there's $20 right there, and I guess the rest of the stuff just added up really quickly.

I always wind up spending more than I think I am going to... funny how low-fat and low-calorie food costs so much more than junk.

Plus Mr Kat is certainly NOT off the diet soda (aka hooch) so that adds up too.

Mmmmm sushi. (where is that drooling smilie when you need it?)

This is weird but the sushi at Costco is OK.

DF4E- I'd LOOOOVE to have your grocery bill. A family of 6 with the mama on a diet racks up a huge grocery bill. Thank God no more diapers and baby supplies!

Oh! And we went shopping yesterday, and I'm going to be buying a pair of size 14 jeans from Old Navy before the trip! :woohoo: AND I had to exchange a pair of the bermuda shorts I got at New York & Co, and I ended up with 14's of those too! I am SO excited about that! I am also giving several items of clothing to my friend who is coming on this trip with us, so while I am outgrowing some clothes I love (including items from WDW), at least they are going to a good home.

I love going into a smaller size. Congrats

Please send prayers for my friend Sue and her family. I got a call about an hour ago that her husband was killed in a boating accident this afternoon. Their son is getting married in June, they just got the house remodeled for their "just the two of us" time of life, and they were making plans for retirement in the next year or two. Life is so tenuous! Even if your husband(or wife) seems like a PITA today, think of Sue and Scott and give your honey an extra hug. :sad1:

I'm ready to pack already for my trip but I keep telling myself to wait till at least 2 weeks before the trip so I dont seem like a totally pyscho :rotfl:

I would pack, I always do pack early for Disney. Just be reminded that the clothes might a little steam hanging from the shower.

I went to the trainer yesterday, it went really well although I'm a little stiff today. I'm doing better with food although I'm meeting my friend for Mexican for lunch. Hopefully I can control myself there. :sad2:

Oh Mexican.

I hope everyones having a great day. I have been to a funeral today which was sad, but a great celebration of a long life - it was my great Aunts funeral and she had just celebrated 63 years of marriage. We laughed, cried and remembered some good times

October Disney Land Peeps! I'll be there the last week of October!

I'm addicted to Facebook Scrabble, you guys! It's eating up a lot of my time...but I can quit any time. :sad2:

Yeah on the DL trip. I am almost done with Eclipse and I can't stand that I have to wait until August for the next book. What am I going to do until then? I so love these books. Thanks for suggesting.

I think my gain on vacation had alot to do with the fact I barely drank water. I have been drnking what I should the last 2 days and am feeling better. Hopefully the scale will show a loss. :cheer2:

I always know if I don't drink my water, my rings are snug on me in the morning. Usually the weekends are bad for the water but the warmer weather will make it easier.

DRAMA! of the unwanted variety (as is all drama).

The principal of my boys' elementary school called and she said Dallen's class was having some theft problems so they had all the kids clean out their back packs. Dallen plunked out an M-8 firecracker (a biggie). Then he handed it over to his teacher (thank God) and didn't wave it around or show anyone (points in his favor).

He says he has no idea how it got there. His teacher said Dallen did the right thing by turning it over right away. But. The school has a zero tolerance of anything that could possibly endanger the children (which I'm glad for).

He was drilled thoroughly and Dallen still insisted he didn't know how it got there. No he didn't find it on the walk to school. No, his older brother didn't borrow his back pack. Etc.

I picked a fine time to give up the hooch. :rolleyes1

How old is he again? I think someone maybe had put it in there because they knew they were going to search.

I just had words with my brother a couple of weeks ago and we just now started talking again. Hope you work things out soon.

I too wish I had that grocery bill. I have a family of 5, and Wendy I am still buying diapers (she's getting potty trained very soon). I can't stand that the diet foods costs so much more. It's just wrong.

I had sushi yesterday. Except I was bad, and had a tempura shrimp roll. I didn't get any of the Asian dumplings with it though.

I don't even want to think about how much it must cost to feed families like that, since everything I bought was just for myself. :scared1: It honestly doesn't even seem like I bought that much, oranges, leeks, bananas, yogurt, razors, WW desserts, pizza, (okay, that is not part of the diet,) juice, cream, beans, granola, and nutrition bars.

Also has anyone ever tried that Alli stuff, or whatever it is. Some kind of diet "helper" pill. I got a coupon, and could get a 90-count starter box for like $30, (around half-price,) and was wondering if anyone had tried using it.

My scale hop this morning shows I lost 2 of the 5 lbs I gained on vacation. Guess the water is helping.:drinking:

I ordered the Jillian Michaels' (from Biggest Loser) workout DVD's and her diet book. I think I have to change some things up. Since turning 45 I just can't seem to lose much. I am hoping these will help.

I finished painting the full bath today and am thinking of painting the half bath the same color. The realtor doesn't think it's necessary, but I'm not sure. the small bath is a deep burgandy and I thought the light lilac would brighten it up. :confused3 I don't know what I'm gonna do yet. I am also thinking of painting DS's room, as two walls are a dark blue and two are light blue. Again, the realtor didn't think it was necessary. The house is going on the market May 5th. She seems to think it will do well, due to the area. I hope so! (Is there a smilie crossing their fingers anywhere???)

Wow...all the descriptions of aging really have me looking forward to the future. I'm going to have a harder time losing weight (can it be any harder?) AND be more ornery? I thought I'd hit the max on both of those things! :)

Just breezing by to say hi! We've had two or three "iffy" days this week, so I hope I can at least maintain my weight loss by Friday. Today I'm going to do an aerobics tape in addition to the nighttime walk, beyond the gallons of water I've been drinking.

Speaking of drinking water, remember not to use the Lexan/Neoprene plastic reusable bottles! Apparently they leach unsafe amounts of plastic into your water and make you unhealthy. This is also true for the plastic baby bottles.

So many things to be worried about these days...

Have a great day, everybody!

Pizza can definitely be part of the diet. Just count it!

I tried Alli. It didn't *hurt* me any, and I didn't have any of the "effects" that they tell you might have. However, I am not sure if I really saw any results beyond what I get doing low-calorie.

A few of us has. It's not worth it if you are going "LOW fat". I think it would be good for Low carbers who are eating some fat. I did one bottle.. No funky side effects in me, but I was SUPER careful not to eat too much fat while on it (see Treatment Effects)

Which DVD did you order? I am a member of her website and LOVE it! It has really helped me.I have the 30 day shred DVD and it kicks my butt! I have lost five lbs since I started doing it and its only 20 min a day.:goodvibes

I was able to squeeze into a size 8 this morning! All buttoned and zipped but walking was a bit difficult...not to mention sitting. But two weeks ago I couldn't get them over my thighs.:thumbsup2

I changed my signature again. I still have Giselle in it, but now I've added Bambi and Thumper, (two of my favorite non-princess characters,) as well as one of my favorite quotes from the movie.

Wooo hooo! I love size 8s. And that's a great feeling to progress from not being able to put them on to being able to almost walk in them:thumbsup2

Jillian Michael's workouts ROCK! I know I have said it a couple of times on this thread but I can not stress the results I am seeing by doing her workouts. In January I was 154 pounds, this morning I weighed in at 130! :woohoo: I even have a slow metabolism because I had a partial thyroidectomy two years ago where I take 2 medicines called synthroid and cytomel daily for the rest of my life. I think the cardio with weights seriously makes a big difference. I have done cardio with the weight with the workouts called THE FIRM and have NEVER seen the results that I have with the Jillian Michael workouts.

I usually do the 20 day shred one week and then the other week I do the 5 disk set called Jillian Michael's THE BIGGEST WINNER! the days I dont do the workouts I go to the gym and do some cardio like spinning, kickboxing or do a turbo jam workout at home (So FUN!) and I do take some days off from working out here and there and on the weekend ease off my diet and eat what I want

I think the 5 disk Jillian Michael Biggest Winner is alot better/harder than the 30 day shred but they are both super effective.

BRAVO! to you on getting into size 8 jeans!

LMO - For the uncoordinated like myself, are Jillian Michaels' workouts (cardio & weights) hard to follow? I had trouble keeping up with The Firm b/c of the choreography.

I dream of being a size 8. I don't remember the last time I wore a size 8 - middle school? :)

Have a "Make Your Peeps Proud" day!

I bought the 5 disk set, THE BIGGEST WINNER. After hearing of your results, I am hopeful. I am also on medication for a hypo-thyroid and take lyvoxil daily. A slow thyroid doesn't help in the weight loss department. :sad2: I also bought her diet book and hope by changing up my eating, I'll lose what I want to.

Thats awesome..super good results too! if i had already lost 20 lbs or so since january i would be psyched!! :)

Last night I actually went to bed hungry for the first time since I restarted WW about 2 weeks ago. I only had a small rainbow roll and i piece of salmon sashimi at dinner..BECAUSE while waiting to go I was starving and I had a light cheese stick, a handful of REAL chips ( ) and about 6 mini eggs..those little buggers need to leave the house! So i was afraid of going over so i think i UNDERate at dinner. Stupid. I know i have flex points i just dont' like using them unless its the weekend and FAR from Weigh in day. oh well..you live you learn!
Tonight I am going to play tennis with my friend for a workout..I'm psyched! I think i might add some lunges, crunches and push ups to the mix too with her...our own mini bootcamp lol! :rotfl:

have a wonderful day!

I would say it pretty basic, jumping jacks, jumping rope (with out a jump rope), squats, lunges, push ups, mountain climbers..i think it easier to follow than the firm but a much harder workout..

I can't wait to hear what you think of the workouts! I have a hypo-thyroid too, it stinks having to take medication everyday and I have a scar on the middle of my neck from when they removed 1/2 my thyroid 2 years ago, the doctor told me it would fade..it did fade a little bit but its still noticeable, fortunately I think scars are cool although i wish it was somewhere other than the middle of my throat.

I'm going to disney in less than 3 weeks once I get my pictures back from there I will share some before and after pics!
