Good Morning! :goodvibes

Fly by post from Hilton Head, SC! The weather isn't as warm and beautiful as we hoped, but we can see the ocean from the window! (And the golf course!) This hotel is waaaayyyy fancier than anything we were expecting! :scared1: My GF's DS booked it! We may only stay 2 nights, then move somewhere else! We'll see!

Brrr! It's cold here in SC! But sunny, so at least it's got one thing going for it. Last Thursday & Friday was awesome!

Just a quick fly-by to say hello and good-bye. We leave EARLY tomorrow morning for WDW and I probably won't have another chance to say hello.

Ok so im not one for veggie food like I mean burgers or fake chicken

but let me tell you...

I wish the Morning Star Farms listed the carb count. I have to watch that, or dumping syndrome kicks in and I'm a miserable girl. I imagine it's low, but you never know!

I resisted CAKE tonight!!!!! :woohoo: I DID "smell" it though...like a dork.

Biggest Loser is the BEST tonight!!!! :cool1: I am soooo inspired!

Well, I was sick as a dog yesterday. Not good when you've had gastric bypass and you're pregnant. DH made me go to the doc, and both my OB & GB surgeons think it was GB related, so I'm on liquids today, then ease into soft solids. UGH. I'm ready for some FOOD!!! I'm sure this'll make the scales look pretty come Friday though.

Oooo... they make those in a toffee crunch. SUPER yummy, and I think 100 cals.

I rediscovered an old friend tonight, pierogies. Cooked 4 of them in a non-stick pan w/ some sliced onion, only about 250 cals, and ate w/ some steamed broccoli and a chef boyardee canned mac&cheese (190) About 500 cals for the whole mess and actually quite filling.
OMG KAT! I had pierogies last night too..and totally thought to myself " i can't believe i have not had you in so long!?" THAT is so funny. I topped mine with a piece of roasted red pepper, lite sour cream and salsa..and i threw some greens underneath just for fun! such a good low cal supper!

to my fellow AI peeps - did you guys see david cook tonight? that was AWESOME! DH is gonna get it off itunes tomorrow. we both loved it! even if for some odd reason he doesn't make it as an entertainer (which i totally think he will), that guy is gonna make a great music producer!!!

:goodvibes YES . he is the best AI contestant ever EVER. I can't get enough of him! I am downloading that one ...we have his others already ...can't wait to buy my IPOD nano tonight and listen away! THAT will definitely get me out walking more often! :)

He is my favorite since Aussie guy left....I really don't like anyone else. Jason is good but sounds the same every week. David is great of course but I can't see him as a pop icon..more like a Disney entertainer like a PP mentioned!!

Going out to lunch today to show off Ty to my best guy friend who hasn't met him yet. It will be Ty's 4th restaurant experience...I have to get him ready for disney!! :rotfl: He has slept through the previous three............hope he keeps it up!!!!

Hmm, I hadn't thought of salsa... I was thinking maybe some tomato sauce but was too lazy to open a can of it.

I used a few sprays of cooking spray and some of this 5 cal Promise Spread I found. It isn't exactly butter (ok, not even close) but it's allright. I do like the lite butter, though, have you ever tried it? It is 50 cals in a Tbsp instead of 100 and I can't tell the difference really...
 
Eggs again.

Adding diced ham and/or veggies helps.


I'm totally loving that Costco Mango Salsa on everything! :lovestruc (instead of high sugar ketchup).


Does anyone else HATE the smell of PAM cooking spray? I swear it gags me!

i like that light butter as well...we do use it on toast etc. now instead of the REAL stuff...

MMMM mango salsa..that sounds really good. I make homemade pineapple salsa that is super yummy too...

Hi Ladies - I mentioned my May solo trip awhile ago but not sure if I mentioned the dates. I'm arriving Thursday May 15 and checking out on Sunday the 18th. Short but sweet. Thursday and Friday will probably be me alone and Saturday I will probably be hanging out with an Orlando friend (possibly in the parks/possibly not). I haven't made up a plan yet as to what I want to do since it is just me. I know for sure I want to hit Epcot, MK and maybe AK since I always skip it or cut trip shorts on our other disney vacations.

I use the Fat Free Promise CRAP for cooking instant potatoes or noodles...I can't taste it then. But for other stuff it's just horrible...I still use butter. Oh well..my grandma used a ton of butter her whole life and was never fat and didn't have high cholesterol either. :thumbsup2

Yeppers...it makes me gag too. I thought it was b/c I had generic but when I switched to Pam I still gagged. The things we do to save calories and fat. :confused3

as it always has before when i actually obey a healthy HIGH FIBER eating plan for more than 1 day...I got a big ole case of the "FIBERS" today...i do not need to go into details, as i am sure that many of you know EXACTLY what i am talking about..lets just say I thought i was having an appendicitis attack, but i was WAY wrong.
So just a word of caution before you OD on fiber like i think i have been for the last few days..although i have a better chance of seeing a really pretty number on friday...:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Well guys it was actually "warm" in CT today. I would say close to 70. We had long pants on but no coats. :cool1: Yeah spring is coming. By Friday it should be in the 80's. Tomorrow we are going to a local zoo, not big but the kids love it. So look at all that walking I'll be doing :cool1:

I am so glad who won Biggest Loser, I wanted that person to win. I am not saying just in case someone taped it and is watching it tonight.

welcome! just so you know, fridays are our weigh-in days. so this friday record your weight somewhere, then next friday you compare to see how much you've lost or gained or stayed the same. post your numbers big and pretty (like this: -10 pounds) and utahmama keeps a tally.

also, there's a couple of challenges going on right now. i'll let aaron and dizneydawn fill you in on those since they're running them and i'm not 100 percent sure on those since i'm not in them.
 
I love going grocery shopping and having a fully stocked kitchen of success. I have easy access to crunchy veggies, yummy fruit, chicken, almonds (ONLY 6 per serving!) etc. Menus are planned, Family is getting healthy and don't even know it. :cool2:

Weird, my grocery bill is a lot less minus the diet soda pop! :rolleyes:

I envy your willpower Utah....I don't really keep pop in the house. Right now I just have a 2 liter of raspberry gingerale. I only like diet coke from a fountain so I drink it only when I am eating out or DH stops at the 7-11 to get me one. But it is a weakness for sure. I don't drink a lot during the day but when I do it's probably only one glass of milk and maybe a pop. Probably not that great.
