Ok so im not one for veggie food like I mean burgers or fake chicken

but let me tell you...

Morning Star Chicken patties.... couldnt even tell that I wasnt eating chicken

I've tried the Morning Star ones and you're right, they are tasty!

I just got back from an hour walk....chilly here today but it's supposed to be 70 on Thursday! My best friend, who does not enjoy WDW at all, is there this week with her in-laws. I guess the weather has been cold/rainy....I'm not so jealous anymore!!! ;)

It's been chilly and windy here too. Then yesterday it was about 80 degrees. Now it's cold again. Mother Nature has PMS!

I hate when it rains there...but it's still better than being home!

Hope no one has to go to the post office today, it's a mad house!

blah. the only good thing about tax day is that that means i only have 11 days left until our trip! plus it's my mom's birthday today. how awful is that - your birthday is loathed by 90 percent of the U.S. population?

i do have to go to the post office this afternoon. i have to mail off my payment and a birthday card to my best friend in tennessee. and wouldn't you know it......i'm out of stamps! double blah!

florida weather is usually about 10 degrees warmer than ours and it's been FRIDGID here for the past few days. so i wouldn't want to be at WDW right now! we had to cover up our plants last night because it was freezing! i'm so ready for spring to get here PERMANENTLY!!!

YUP! I love those chicken patties!!! love them!
As for Dr. Praeger i have only recently tried the spinach patty things they have..which are very good..i will use them as a side dish ( i think they are like 90 cals or something..2 pts i think)...experimenting with new foods is the best part of dieting! :goodvibes

I'm ready for spring to!! It is cold today...maybe very low 60's.
Friday's high was 89! We are practically south Georgia, being in the very tip of Florida. I am ready for some warm weather...it should be here by this weekend! :goodvibes

It is almost workout time...I try to do it at the same time everyday (Monday-Friday) and have found that I feel VERY guilty if I try to skip a day. I keep looking at the clock, knowing that the time is getting closer and closer. It's just easier to work out, than to deal with the guilt over skipping it.

Now if I could just make that work with my eating....

Somebody brainwash me to not like food! To see it as ONLY fuel for my body!
(not as some delicious TREAT that I reward myself with)

Really, it is not a reward to make my butt bigger.
Now I just need to say that 1000 times a day, therefore giving myself no time to eat bad food. :thumbsup2

Does WW really work? How do you figure out the points? Like how many points certain foods have?

I need a new plan.

Off to work out...(repeat mantra: I like this, it's good for me, I like this, it's good for me....) :rolleyes:

Mine is roughly the size of a barn door, so I hear you on that one! :)

So, I'm a SAHM with my own two kids, and two days a week my nephew (till the end of the month). And, even though I'm busy and distracted, I find myself wanting to eat. Or I think about what I'm going to eat at the next opportunity. I don't know if this is normal - what is normal? - but I wish it wasn't on my mind so much. You know - I wish that I just thought about food when I was actually hungry for it!

Boredom/emotional eating and love for/reliance on Pepsi (the regular kind) are my biggest traps. Wendy's given me some hope on the soda thing (wonderful weight loss there, by the way!), and others have given advice on the emotional eating thing, so I KNOW I can be every bit as healthy as I want to be!

I also want to thank everybody who joined in on the diabetes discussion. I am not a diabetic, but it runs like a river through both sides of my family (and, unfortunately for my children, my husband's family too!). My father and many aunts/uncles are Type II diabetics, and it will destroy and disable when not treated carefully or prevented. If for no other reason at all - even if I LOVED my stomach - I would need to commit now to being healthy to avoid diabetes later. So thanks for the reminder!

Ok just made one of the veggies burgers for lunch on a small whole wheat roll sprinkle with garlic and a half a slice of cheese.

mmmm yum... from what I average out it was a filling lunch for only 325 calories.

now the dilema is my sweet tooth.... I need stuff that satisfies the sweet tooth but doesnt kill me in the calories.

Fly by post from Hilton Head, SC! The weather isn't as warm and beautiful as we hoped, but we can see the ocean from the window! (And the golf course!) This hotel is waaaayyyy fancier than anything we were expecting! :scared1: My GF's DS booked it! We may only stay 2 nights, then move somewhere else! We'll see!

Just a quick fly-by to say hello and good-bye. We leave EARLY tomorrow morning for WDW and I probably won't have another chance to say hello.

I am posting my weight as of this morning for this coming Friday's weigh-in weight. I am - .6 as of this morning.

For those who saw my previous post about the "Biggest Loser" contest I entered at the school where I work..... I WON!! I was the biggest loser both pounds and percentages. I walked away with $70. It is in my purse right now and will buy me a nice souvenir this week in Disney.

I will try to remember to send a PM to DizneyDawn for the challenge against the Boarders, but if I forget and she is looking for me this weekend, maybe someone could point her over here to this post?? I don't have time right now.... I need to go pick up my class from gym.

That's true!! She just called me to see if I could recommend a TS for them TONIGHT!!!!! I told her I certainly could but she wasn't going to find anything open. They didn't make any ADRs before they left, even though I warned them. So for kicks I volunteered to call Disney Dining for them since they were at AK. All I could find was Artist Pointe, Kona and something else...all for after 9pm! They decided to fend for themselves..good luck!!! :confused3

I just ate a Sweet Freedom Ice Cream Lite.Vanilla ice cream bar with a hard chocolate coating.Delicious and only 90 calories.:thumbsup2

Oooo... they make those in a toffee crunch. SUPER yummy, and I think 100 cals.

I rediscovered an old friend tonight, pierogies. Cooked 4 of them in a non-stick pan w/ some sliced onion, only about 250 cals, and ate w/ some steamed broccoli and a chef boyardee canned mac&cheese (190) About 500 cals for the whole mess and actually quite filling.
 
Here are my plans I will try to make them as brief as possible...if all goes well this is our schedule considering I will be there with 8 girls it may not go by the book and I'm fine with that ....I swear! ;)

Wednesday 5/14 Arrive on Time Hopefully with No Airline Drama check into BCV..grab a quick bite ...Magic Kingdom, Cinderella Royal Table Dinner...Wishes

OK, well I feel that I've been out of the loop lately. I need more Dis time! (Wah!:laughing: ) I'm kinda behind in posting my schedule and figuring out if there are any possible meet opportunities. When is the Illuminations dinner thing that Noni mentioned? Is that 5/19? And is there still room for more? I'd definitely be interested if we can fit it in. Here's what we have so far. We have two other couples with us from the 16th-20th, and then one couple for the rest of the trip. If anyone has any meet proposals, let me know. :)

5/16 Arrival, DTD, Captain's Grille for dinner, and Jellyrolls

5/17 Hollywood Studios, Backlot Express for lunch, Sci-Fi for dinner

5/18 MK, Crystal Palace for "Brunch", Tony's for dinner

5/20 Epcot, Liberty Inn for lunch, Rose & Crown or Tutto Italia for dinner

Sorry to hear about your freezer breaking down on ya. That is such a huge pain! And even though that happened to you today- you still found time to give me words of wisdom regarding diabetes and insulin. That's amazing to me.

Regarding the diabetes info- Please mount your soap box anytime concerning this with me. I really need these words. This was the first time I went to a Dr. that actually made me feel like what was happening with my readings really wasn't my fault. He was a really good Dr. and gave me the same feeling you did as I read what you wrote. You're right- taking insulin is not a punishment- but up until now, everything I've ever heard or read about it indicated it was.

My numbers are pretty good during the day- it just the first readings in the morning before I eat that are pretty high..... and that's not because I ate during the night!

Anyway...... I really appreciate everyone's words of encouragement. It helps to know that people a rootin' for ya! THANKS!

Well, don't be too impressed. Posting here is therapeutic for me. I can get away for just a few minutes and sit still. And, your welcome. If you haven't guessed from my screen-name, I am a pharmacist (at a hospital actually), and I see so many patients being undertreated for their diabetes and avoiding insulin (including my mother) because their doctors have put such a bad slant on insulin. They say things like "If you don't __________ we are going to have to put you on insulin." Most of these patients should have been on insulin a long time ago. One of the main reasons I am so motivated to lose weight is my family history of diabetes, and how much my weight puts me at risk. Good luck to you, I know you will succeed. :hug:

Did you see the recipe I posted a few pages ago for the pumpkin muffins/cupcakes? One box of cake mix (spice, yellow, or chocolate) + 1 can pumpkin. Takes out the fat, and adds fiber. I think they are 2 WW points each.
 
to my fellow AI peeps - did you guys see david cook tonight? that was AWESOME! DH is gonna get it off itunes tomorrow. we both loved it! even if for some odd reason he doesn't make it as an entertainer (which i totally think he will), that guy is gonna make a great music producer!!!

Edited... I don't think we are going to make the Illuminations Dinner after all. We are basically saving all of our bang for the buck for V&As, and decided against the $120...

Our May trip only has two real plans so far, 5/19 of Biergarten, and 5/21 of Victoria&Alberts for our anniversary dinner. We will be at CSR on May 17, and BCV from 18-23.

Actually, I am sitting here posting on my laptop, and watching it right now - TiVo. He is awesome. I really love this season of AI, everyone is soooo talented. Alot of unique performers as well. It may surprise you - since I am a 35 year old mother of two - but I also really like David Archuletta. For his age, he has an AMAZING voice. In my opinion, Disney should scoop him up. He could make them a LOT of money.

Lynda~ The Illuminations dinner is on 5/19. I've been on the phone with GG twice in two days and I've forgotten to ask if there were still seats available. I see a few spots were our schedules overlap. If you can't make it for the dinner, we can try to get together some other time.

5/17- arrive in Orlando, probably after 9pm....no WDW

5/18- AK; lunch @ Flame Tree, Safari Celebration dinner

5/19- DHS; lunch open, International Dinner in Epcot (I'm thinking we'll get to tha park late in the afternoon)

5/20- Epcot; lunch @ Garden Grill, dinner at LC

5/21- DD's 14th B-day! MK; CRT breakfast, lunch open, O'Hana dinner, pirate: & princess: party!

5/22- Free day; breakfast @ MC then water park; dinner @ Boma; DTD to finish the night

5/23- MK or DHS; breakfast @ Kona Cali Grill for dinner. This may be our only chance to see Fantasmic so we may wind up in DHS.

5/24- check out, finish shopping, maybe GF photo pkg.

That's our vacation in a nut shell.

I have done that!:rotfl2: The other day I stopped and got Peyton a double cheeseburger and when we got home DH asked if his supper was good.He said it was but he had to eat it fast because it looked like I was going to attack him and take it.:rolleyes1
