Hi Sandy! My day went well. I feel like I am getting a sinus infection or maybe it is allergies??:confused3 I have had a sinus headache/pressure all day. I was able to get my house cleaned though! How was your day?

I dont knowwww. 9's a single digit. Maybe 10's. Maybe 9/10? They looked teeny!
I folded them neatly and will save them for that fateful day. I remember a few "friends" telling me I looked too thin! Is THAT possible? I was PISSED at comments like that.

Anyway, S'late, thanks for that. You just saved me from eating a piece of toast. I was a little hungry, but I'll have a big glass of water and see if that helps.

Glad to be of service! :thumbsup2

I had a pair of 7/8 pants that were torturing me. I can't believe I was ever that small.....ever!

I tried those 100 cal cupcake packs... mmm.

sorul82... go canes! (except their season is over) DH is a tarheels fan.

I had 4 chocolate chips to satisfy my post-dinner craving for sweets.

Okay, off to bed... sweet disney dreams everyone!

Your DH sounds like a keeper!

hello all just checking in late as usual.
My crazy week is over
birthdays are done except for parties which basically i just have to pay for (whoo hoo no clean up)next sat and the next one ,friend had her baby weds and my sister had hers last night (very :scared1: ) almost lost her lil girl twice....heartbeat dropped dangerously low in the 40-50 but my niece is here and doing good. i think i told wendy what my weight loss was ???? right .
anyways i will take tommorow to catch up on posts .
take care all i am goin to bed..

Spongie-Misty Glad the baby is doing OK.

Pigget-prayers for your friends.

I went to Costco today and bought lots of healthy things, like some delicious pears, a Jack Sprat rotisserie chicken (I eat the lean white meat, DH eats the fatty dark meat, no licking the platter clean), and 2 pairs of capris. They are my first, and I really like them. They are size 10's with a little stretchiness (thank you Calvin Klein) that seems to smooth out the lumps and bumps. I also bought some Talking Rain drinks that are 10 calories each. That's my treat for working out, because DH always has a Sobe after the gym and offers me some, but they are too many calories, and I'm not a big fan of the Lean Sobes.

I did give in to the sample ladies, so I had the rest of my spinach salad for lunch. Then I snacked all afternoon because I had a tedious job to do and was mad at DH. The good news is, our new HOT TUB should be coming soon.
It's raining here, so I didn't get to walk to church tonight. I'm going to the gym tomorrow to make up for it.

We watched the Prestige tonight. I couldn't Dis while watching because it was very detailed. It had a very WOW ending. DD and I were discussing a lot of what happened, because it was complicated and took some sorting out. Someone on here recommended it. Whoever it was, thanks!

I'm going to do 10 minutes of arms exercises before I go to bed, since I didn't get to exercise today (unless you include wandering through Costco and speedwalking through Safeway). Goodnight all.

GOOD MORNING, PEEPS!!! :sunny:

Back to the ballpark today!!! Those hot dogs are good, aren't they Harley?

So I am at about 950-1000 so far for the day.
Kat....I used a formula I found in the Calories Queens book. It is 12 calories X goal weight=calories per day. I reached my goal by using this formula. If you eat too few calories your body will slow down metabolism because it thinks it's starving. So good news...you might be able to eat more and still lose weight. YAY!!!
CLEANED HER KITCHEN! :scared:
:rotfl2: Add four kids and that's what I did too! Sorry, Dene! There's always next Saturday......
Great, now I want chocolate.
Have you tried the Fiber One chocolate oat bars?
That's what I was going to say! Fiber and chocolate combined will hit the spot and fill you up!
I had 4 chocolate chips to satisfy my post-dinner craving for sweets.
Go get some Dove Dark chocolates! They are my treat at the end of the day. You deserve it! One piece is only 42 calories.

STACEY??? Where are ya???

SANDY....It's OK to have cake! You just can't have anything after the cake!

DANIELLE....Beware the sample snipers. They got me at Sam's Club on Friday! But I tasted the best Caesar pasta salad. Then I looked at the calories....360 per serving.

WHERE'S MONICA??? Check in, sistah!

HAVE A BLESSED SUNDAY, ONE AND ALL! :flower3:

/
GOOD MORNING PEEPS

(oh Melinda, did you oversleep? I slept past 5am - :yay: Up at 5:45am1)

SpongieMisty it sounds like strong prayers were heard! Have fun!

Belle and Misty too - clean house, I must get on that... maybe tomorrow?

Kat and S'late hey hey, too funny!!

Danielle... I knowitsomethin... OH YEAH, Ceasar Pasta, that cant be good... for the waistline!

 Mornin everyone! Make today count, feel the blessings, feel His peace...

Well Uma, I checked the scale, and the damage from that darn cake? 2# :scared1: See this is what I have to get over... It takes me 2 weeks to lose 2# but only ONE MEAL to gain 2# :sad2: :sad1: I day into the challenge and I'm at 216! :rotfl2: and its MY OWN DOING!!

but... today... I will....

suck it up, and suck it in!! :dance3:

I will drink my water, take my vitamins, go on a run, and do those situps, at least 100, probably 2 sets of 100!! I will put more air in the exercise ball... Just for today. Yesterday is GONE, tomorrow hasnt happened... so for today I will stay focused.

Learning to live with food, not without food.

The hardest part about our sensible approach to weight loss is convincing people that it works. When we tell people that we've lost three hundred pounds eating fabulous food, they simply can't believe it. For most of us, trying to lose weight has always been associated with feeling deeply deprived while eating horrid food. But we'd "been there, done that" with the deprivation and horrid food. A lifetime of "yo-yo" dieting is how we got to be so fat!

Most of us with weight problems no longer have any idea what it takes to support a healthy weight. We're always either dieting or planning to diet. And when we're planning to diet, we're EATING! How do you lose weight and keep it off? You have to stop dieting, stop planning to diet, and start learning to eat correctly. How do you begin?

Choose a reasonable goal weight. Calculate your daily caloric intake using the following formula:
Female: Goal weight in pounds X 12 calories/pound = Daily caloric intake
Male: Goal weight in pounds X 14 calories/pound = Daily caloric intake.

Start eating a well-balanced diet that contains this number of calories.

After a few days, take a good, hard look at how you're doing. If you're not happy with the amount of food that maintains your goal weight, you have two choices: you can either start exercising or you can decide to weigh more. If you lose weight by eating less food than you're willing to subsist on forever, you're wasting your time. As soon you start eating more calories, you'll start gaining weight.

If you lose weight by "practicing" to maintain the weight you wish to achieve, you'll know how to sustain it when you get there. And we're living proof that it's possible.

I'm still here! Thanks for asking Melinda!!

Life has been so crazy lately. The class I am in is very demanding with lots of projects. Work is also crazy - end of school year and lots of church events that I am planning. Jackson plays baseball 2 - 3 nights a week. So I have only been able to check in periodically. I never can catch up.

So to all who have been sick or in need of prayer -

Hope everyone is well.

I have not lost any weight, but I have not gained either. When life feels so chaotic I do not eat as well. I am working on that.

Can anyone walk on past the taster ladies??? There's one at our Costco that is an Honery-Cow! She gets all crazy if kids approach without parents (not mine of course) but I see this drama everytime we go.

Taster Ladies are evil with their semi frozen creme puffs and Don Jose burritos cut with scissors. I SO want to be a taster lady when I'm 70.

Screeeeech! You bought size 10????? (didn't have to mention the stretchiness, dork) YAY!!!!!!   <Calvin Klein capris smilie

You ARE da bomb! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Punkin-Thanks for the Borders tip!! I shop there anyway b/c I have their Rewards card and coupons but didn't think to check the store's inventory online! I did and one of the stores near me has PassPorter. :wizard:

Melinda, that sounds right. Mine would be about 1920 cals. per day with a 160 lb. goal weight. With exercise, that is very doable and healthy.

I'm thinking about going back to school. My niche is the beauty industry (I have a cosmetology lic) but I really want to do esthetics (facials, waxing, cosmetics, pampering) in a spa! I think it's a perfect career for me. I want to go back to work when Norah is in school. Which isn't for a while. But if I go to school in the evenings, it'll be part time. I'd get a massive discount because I went to school at Francois D's. Oh, they are getting a new building that is a 3-story spa with a waterfall and fish tank etc. We'll see. The best part is, students practice on each other :cloud9: .Y'all can come visit Utah and get a facial

My DH is going to switch careers too, thank gosh! He'll be getting his CDL (truck driving) license and working a great local job. His job now, he works 5:30 PM till 6:00 AM  THEN goes to Delta airlines till 12:00 noon some days :scared: leaving him beyond exhausted. I bet he's aged 10 years at this job he started THIS year! He needs this change.

Are you guys just jazzed about September? I can hardly wait! It is the best motivation to stay on track I can think of! Especially after looking at my size 9/10 skinny clothes. Heck if I get into 12's then, I'll be thrilled! That's just 2 sizes.  Piece of CAKE! (mmmmm, caaaake)

Happy Sunday peeps! Hope you all had a good Sat. We did absoultely nothing yesterday, DD and I stayed in our pj's intil 1:30  But it was nice for a chnage. Seems like every weekend is SO busy.

Hope you all have been well!
Yay! Welcome back! I cant wait to hear about the cruise!

Now, when is Fidge due back?

Snack Idea

I bought these on Thursday and I am in love! Hostess 100 calorie packs of cupcakes. The chocolate frosting with chocolate cake ones are 1 pt. per pack. They aren't huge but they are really good! I am a chocoholic so anything low point that is chocolate I am all over!:cool1:
OMG, those things are the best! I bought some on friday and tried them yesterday. I had the yellow cake with filling and chocolate frosting. The cake part tasted a lot like twinkies do, but that is ok. As long as it has chocolate on top and is only 100 calories I am a happy girl!

Sooooo. Many of you were subjected to the telling of Dene''s exploits from last Friday night. Well, let me tell you what Dene' did tonight.

Are you ready for this?

Dene'...

CLEANED HER KITCHEN! :scared:

(Gosh, I sure hope that little confession doesn't get censored... Dene' is becoming such a wild woman... :rolleyes1 )
OH, come one Dene! Dont you know this boring married lady is living vicariously through you? I can clean my kicthen any Saturday night. I was hoping you would have done something more fun for us both! :rotfl:

Passporter Lynda has a lovely Deluxe one... I have the one from Barnes and Noble, see we werent going to go back, just go one time that was it... I still wrote in pencil..:rotfl: its going on its 4th trip!!
OK, fill me in on the passporters. I have never bought one and know nothing about them :faint:I know...I am a serious over planner but I have no clue about this planning tool! Which version do I need? What is so special about them? Something tells me they have all sorts of places to fill in where we are going and when- things I have been doing the hard way I am sure! Can you tell I am excited and want to go get one now?? :hyper:

I am so glad she is doing ok! That is so scary! That happened to my DD too, we ended up with an emergency c-section (after 36 hrs of labor no less) but she arrived healthy and that is all that matters!

:scratchin Hmm, very interesteing idea. I may have to try that. I have never really tried counting calories but it may be what I need to make some sort of change in my routine. I am in a rut.

Ok, off to research where I can buy a passporter :)

you probably already saw my post, but i got mine at border's by going on their website, doing an inventory search and putting it on hold. barnes and noble didn't have one and neither did amazon.com. good luck! :)

i say go for it!!!!!!!! if you love that sort of thing, i'm sure you'd enjoy being at school and learning more about it. i'd totally be your guinea pig if i lived closer!!!!!!

and i hope your DH gets what he's hoping for. being in a job that's physically exhausting and that you're not really happy with is just awful. i worked for an attorney that i HATED before i was a court reporter and i'd come home every day literally crying about how i wanted to change careers. the final straw was when i saw an e-mail he sent to another attorney i worked for that was basically making fun of the fact that i got so upset when my DH had to have a CAT scan on his head for unexplained headaches (it turned out to be nothing, thank goodness). that was all i could take from that jerk and that's when i decided to leave. it was the best thing i ever did for myself!

Winkers, it wont be for a while....BUT! You're going to be in Utah, ehhhh?
Where, when, how, why...j/k, PM Me the deets!

Punkin- I hear you on the jerky boss thing. My DH is SO unappreciated at his job. He soooo needs a change, but this job was the first one to come along after a LONG unemployment. I worked for THE meanest dentist once. For several years, I went home feeling like a kicked dog! The money was good though so I stayed that long. The money is never worth it, I concluded. Now, my bosses are three 2 year olds :dance3: they can be brutal, but totally lovable. I dont want to do daycare forever though. I want to talk to big people at some point.

Hi dance!!! Happy Sunday to you too!

Lynda- did you go to your hometown church today?

I have to teach today so I better go fine-tune my lesson.

GO for it! If it is what you really love, then do it! Hey, you could practice on all of us at the peeps meet....facials for everyone! And I have to say, when I watched your goodbye video on your TR and now hear you say that you are bigger than a 12, I am shocked. I really dont think you look larger than a 12. Goes to show you that a size is just a number :goodvibes

I went through my closet a while back and got rid of some stuff but I need to purge again. I have some stuff that is so small I may never see it again on my body, even if the size on the tag becomes my size again. It needs to go. After having a child, my body is just shaped differently and it is time accept my larger hips and move on. Besides, if I ever get into a 10 or 12 again I will be a shopping machine, I wont want to wear my old crusty clothes :rotfl: I dont think I have ever been a size 10, maybe since about 6th grade.

Oh, and one of the sites-either borders or barnes and noble- had the refill pages for the deluxe passporter. It says it has all the pockets and pages the original has, all updated for 2007. It is only $20. Not trying to be a cheapo, but if I can get that for $20 I can certainly find a binder/organizer to put it in for less than the $40 the set is new, right?

you probably already saw my post, but i got mine at border's by going on their website, doing an inventory search and putting it on hold. barnes and noble didn't have one and neither did amazon.com. good luck! :)

Passporter is a book - at the back it has pockets for a ten day stay, those pockets have places to write in your adr, and your park preferences etc... I also throw in a TGM itinarary in each pocket - its an organizational tool, as well as having maps in color to all the parks, it has maps of all the resorts, so upon check in I open up my passporter, have my confirm # and a map of their resort... it also has a good inventory of rides, restaurants, etc...

and most importantly it tells you how to get to and from the airport - I shouldnt have packed mine last year our ME driver got so completely and totally lost - we called the WDW ME line, it was awful...

The deluxe version is only sold online I believe - and it has refillable and can be updated - 3 ring leather binder type - amazing1! I have Passporter envy!! :rotfl2: www.passporter.com (their message boards are slower, but I cant live w/o the organization tool1)

i say go for it!!!!!!!! if you love that sort of thing, i'm sure you'd enjoy being at school and learning more about it. i'd totally be your guinea pig if i lived closer!!!!!!

and i hope your DH gets what he's hoping for. being in a job that's physically exhausting and that you're not really happy with is just awful. i worked for an attorney that i HATED before i was a court reporter and i'd come home every day literally crying about how i wanted to change careers. the final straw was when i saw an e-mail he sent to another attorney i worked for that was basically making fun of the fact that i got so upset when my DH had to have a CAT scan on his head for unexplained headaches (it turned out to be nothing, thank goodness). that was all i could take from that jerk and that's when i decided to leave. it was the best thing i ever did for myself!

DITTO!! My grandma had a beauty shop in her home - and I still play around with hair - I love it!1 Now about those waxes - :scared1: can someone explain "why bikini wax" :scared1: I mean the new growth alone... :scared1:

.Y'all can come visit Utah and get a facial

It just happens that I'll be there next month.........so what times do you have available????:)

DH wants to go to Utah - he keeps saying Utah instead of WDW tho!!

OK, it took me 45 min to get dressed for a run... why?? Well because its shorts weather, not sweats... and I did the worst thing - I looked in the mirror and jogged in place... :scared1: and cried. THIS is not the image a teacher wants to give on a Sunday morning...or any morning... :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
