Hopefully your neighbor and his wife will be succesful in quitting. I sure wish my parents would. I love them to death and spend a lot of time with them, but I never plan on going anywhere after I leave their house. I just want to shower and change.
The party was sweet but sad. Everyone was upbeat and the little one had a blast. I met their nanny for the time being and she seems really nice. When we were leaving her DH walked us out and we talked some away from family. At TG she was well enough to get a day pass from the hospital so they had a make shift ramp for her to get the wheel chair inside. As were leaving the conversation started off with I guess I need to get rid of this board, since she probably won't be coming home. I already knew this from other sources, it was just very hard hearing it from him. We all teared up and he just said it so matter of factly. They are not continueing raditation and the chemo has stopped as well since she is having a lot of trouble swallowing. THey also got the dreaded news on Saturday that the Dr.'s do not reccommend physical therapy. I think that was one of the last hold outs on how she was doing. Just continue to pray there are always miracles, but if that is not the case that her DH will have strength to make it. I asked how the boys were handling things and he said they were doing well since it is so much a part of their routine---the 5 year old knows that mommmy is very, very sick and that she is not doing well.
Have fun at your new job.
How is it that kids pick the best time to get sick. I have been home for 2 weeks and this morning Joshua decides he does not want to go to school but to the Dr. instead. He has had a cold, but now his temp is 103.8. He jsut fell back to sleep. Today is my first day back, but no students. Instead I get to give a presentation at 8:00 to about 70 fellow teachers. I am not looking forward to this. Give me kids anyday, but my peers
Have to get in shower so I can get things ready for Rebekah for the sitter. Also, need to finalize things for work.
