Hey! That's neat!! Well that place is pretty! Right now it is neat becuase they have all these things like miniature capitol building and white house and train village that is al lmade out of wood and plants!* Very cool! :thumbsup2
Tomorrow morning I AM going to the gym to sign up!!!!If I don't, will someone please come and kick my butt??
Oooo, I will!* I love to kick booty! :)
:lmao:* you just gotta keep lookin, we all did it! really we did!:rotfl: OKay Allie and Sparkie, i have been fighting Plantar Faciitis for 3+ yrs now.* I finally invested in some good shoes and I got the Asics Gel Kayano, then then next pair was Asic Gel Nimbus.* Allie you will LOVE these shoes! They are the bomb.* my feet have heeled almost 100%.* I still have trouble with running, but they dont hurt me to walk and stand anymore. I have found that doing the stretches has helped, but also doing calf raises, of all things,* has helped...good choice on shoes! they are so worth the money
Hey!* I have Planters too!* :sad2: Good to know about the shoes!* Of the two, which were your favorites?

Love the picture. You were a beautiful bride. How does this thread attract only great-looking peeps?

I totally agree!
More pixie dust needed in my family. I slept in a little this morning, so literally ran to church. I walked home at a slightly slower pace, and when I got to my front door, DH pulls the door open looking panicky. He tells me my sister has been admitted to the hospital for pneumonia. 5 years ago this week my dad got pneumonia, went into a coma and passed away. Last year, my mom went into the hospital with pneumonia this same week. Now my sister. It's just a little extra scary because of the experience w/ my dad.
Please pray for my sister. It was weird, because at church this morning, I was praying for her to find the strength to quit smoking. Assuming everything goes well in the hospital, maybe this is the kick in the pants she needs to quit.

 for you and your sister Danielle!

I'd really like to join your Peeps if you'll have me....I really need to be accountable for my weight loss and need the motivation you guys provide!
Welcome and Congrats! If you can't honeymoon at WDW then surely Egypt is an acceptable substitute! Sounds great! You've done it before - you can do it again!

Good luck - and glad to have you!

 prayers and good thoughts coming your way! maybe it will be a blessing in disguise and she'll quit smoking. i hope so.

speaking of quitting smoking, my neighbor who i mentioned awhile back that discovered he had cancer on his tongue went to emory the other day to have more tests done. pakey - i wanted to give you an update especially on his condition since i asked your advice about it. they told him he has stage 1 cancer. he's having surgery done on 1/23 to cut out the affected area underneath his tongue. it depends on how deep the tumor or whatever is as to whether or not he'll need radiation. the doc said his tongue will feel wierd for awhile and he will have to adjust his speech a little, but that it will fatten back up as it heals and eventually get back to almost normal. he has to quit smoking, which his wife is going to do with him, which of course is a great thing. anyway, just wanted to update everyone on his situation!

heather - how was christi's party?

Thanks Melinda!!! And thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes! You guys rock! :goodvibes

I want SO badly to catch up on the last 10-15 pages, but I don't know if I'll have time. We are deep in trip prep for DL! Today we went out to buy some reading materials (I got Twilight, which I will start once I finish A Farewell to Arms!), non-aerosol versions of my hair products (:headache: ), saduko books, and travel-sized items. I am currently downloading a couple of movies for my ipod for the plane, and I have packed my 1 quart bag of liquids/gels. We are also working on laundry.

DH is currently hooking up the Blu-ray player he insisted we should get. (It WAS a good deal at least.) And we have a little something waiting for us to install when we get back from Cali - a 26" flat panel TV for the dining-room-turned-exercise-room, where we will be adding a treadmill to the recumbent bike that is already in there! :cool1: We have to put away the Christmas decorations first though. Once we get the room finished, I'll photograph it so I can show you guys.

We are taking a laptop with us to DL, so I MAY check in from Cali! I miss you guys SO much! I hope everyone is doing well. Saw some big numbers from Friday when I skimmed. Great job guys! And thanks Dawn for posting my numbers for me!

I'm hoping to check in with weigh in info before we leave. We are staying by O'Hare Wednesday night, and we are flying out Thursday morning. Not sure yet if we'll have internet access Wednesday night or not, but I'll try. If not, perhaps I can post it when we get to Cali. I DO want to participate in the Valentine's Day challenge, but I think it's wise to wait and see where I'm at when we return from DL, so I'll set a goal then.

That's all for now. Got a lot more to do. Later Peeps!

heather - how was christi's party?

Hopefully your neighbor and his wife will be succesful in quitting. I sure wish my parents would. I love them to death and spend a lot of time with them, but I never plan on going anywhere after I leave their house. I just want to shower and change.

The party was sweet but sad. Everyone was upbeat and the little one had a blast. I met their nanny for the time being and she seems really nice. When we were leaving her DH walked us out and we talked some away from family. At TG she was well enough to get a day pass from the hospital so they had a make shift ramp for her to get the wheel chair inside. As were leaving the conversation started off with I guess I need to get rid of this board, since she probably won't be coming home. I already knew this from other sources, it was just very hard hearing it from him. We all teared up and he just said it so matter of factly. They are not continueing raditation and the chemo has stopped as well since she is having a lot of trouble swallowing. THey also got the dreaded news on Saturday that the Dr.'s do not reccommend physical therapy. I think that was one of the last hold outs on how she was doing. Just continue to pray there are always miracles, but if that is not the case that her DH will have strength to make it. I asked how the boys were handling things and he said they were doing well since it is so much a part of their routine---the 5 year old knows that mommmy is very, very sick and that she is not doing well.

How is it that kids pick the best time to get sick. I have been home for 2 weeks and this morning Joshua decides he does not want to go to school but to the Dr. instead. He has had a cold, but now his temp is 103.8. He jsut fell back to sleep. Today is my first day back, but no students. Instead I get to give a presentation at 8:00 to about 70 fellow teachers. I am not looking forward to this. Give me kids anyday, but my peers :scared1:

Have to get in shower so I can get things ready for Rebekah for the sitter. Also, need to finalize things for work.

Today is my day at least that is what I keep telling myself. It is the first day to the new me. I am ready to start this battle with my weight and have decided that I WILL WIN!!! Yes, it will be hard but I have the support of this wonderful group and of my DH--fyi he thinks he is fat--yeah right!!! We went shopping last night and got healthier choices for both of us and we also want to incorprate this into our children's lifestyle as well. I weighed on Saturday morning so I know where I am starting and I know where I want to end. I am doing a combination of WW and the calorie thing, but since I am still nursing I have to add an additional of at least 300 calories. Wish me luck.

Have a blessed day!!!!

Pigget: I am so sorry about your friend. I was really hoping for better news. That's just hard to swallow.

I actually have a new little boy starting today. We got to meet on Friday. He was so enthralled with the daycare. He doesn't speak much, his mom says he was evaluated and has autistic likes tendencies. He's 2 and is at a 6 month lever. I think he's adorable and I hope my plans will help him to communicate more. I use sign language with the kids. The hard part will be the one on one and group activities.

I just want to make him feel comfortable this week.

Hey everyone it's Monday. Another week to get skinnie! Another week to meet your goals. Another week to seriously commit to a healthy YOU!

All aboard! The train is leaving and there's no turning back! WOOT WOOT!

TODAY IS THE BIRTHDAY OF ANOTHER ONE OF OUR FAVORITE, LONG-STANDING PEEPS....DISMOM!
