That's ok! I'm Allie! :)

Yeah, I guess I better get some clothes, and my flashy new shoes in that suitcase. Actually, I may wear my new shoes on the plane.

Allie, thanks for the quote info, I'll try it next time - cant promise I wont blow my computer up trying though! A stone does sound like a lot, I kind of like it because it makes me want to lose it more!

Oh mony, Ive looked back and for some reason I still cant find those bikini pics........:upsidedow

Do you only dye the roots? If you dye your hair often, at least according to my hairdresser, you should put the color on the roots and let it sit for the development time - a few min, then pull it through the hair and let sit for the final few, and wash out.

i do this, but my hair is like a sponge and it soaks up the color really quickly. it's like this with everything - water, perms, hair spray, etc. i have to use twice what a normal person does. and it takes literally 30 minutes to blowdry my hair. :headache:

Hello everyone,
I'd really like to join your Peeps if you'll have me....I really need to be accountable for my weight loss and need the motivation you guys provide!

WELCOME!!!! you'll love it here!

Ive come to realise that I wont lose any weight by sitting at home, pretending to exercise, eating Cadbury's Creme eggs, all the while telling people Im on a diet - surprisingly no weight comes off!

:lmao: sounds like you're in the right state of mind! you can do it. especially with the motivation of fitting into your wedding dress. CONGRATS, by the way!

Im terrible with time differences - its 8.32pm here so Im guessing mid afternoon for you guys? Oh well, at least if you all post while im asleep it gives me something to read at work the following day!

i think the U.S. east coast is 5 hours behind you. so right now it's 4:30 here and it should be around 9:30 p.m. there. then just take away an hour for every time zone here: central = 3:30; mountain = 2:30; pacific = 1:30.

Dawn: You are such our little party girl. I miss those days.

if you only knew how boring my life actually is! i just spent the day cleaning out my closet.......SO EXCITING!!! that picture was taken at a christmas party in early december. i had literally 2 glasses of wine. that's my limit now otherwise i get sick. i used to be able to drink like a horse, but since i've cut my calorie count down i can't "hold" it any more. i'm such a cheap date now! :lmao:

A stone is a measurement of weight - 14lbs. I dont really know why 14lbs is a stone, but there you go! It always sounds strange to think of losing 'stones' - at our weight watchers meetings when you do lose a stone the leader actually gives you a stone to remind you what you've lost!:rotfl:

thanks for clarifying! i was gonna ask that, too. we used to have another UK peep but she hasn't been around in awhile - disneyjo. jo - if you're lurking....COME OUT AND PLAY!

If you do do (get it? DOO DOO????:lmao: :lmao: ) the fiber thing on thursday, like pooh muffins, fiber one cereal, broccoli, dried apricots (better than ex-lax!) then drink tons of water too. Or else you'll be constipated just before weigh day. Which BLOWS! (Get it? BLOWS! :rotfl2: ) Can you tell I have 4 males in my family????

:lmao:

Matt has a very serious egg allergy. Someone asked and I thought I quoted.

It was me who asked. Is he allergic to peanuts also. Nicholas my DS6 had a serious egg allergy for six years and then all of sudden, nuttin and he hates eggs :lmao:

i ate sooooooooooo many onions (very LOW in calories!) and now i'm not feeling too good! but i couldn't help it - they're so good!

I want some too, I love onions, any kind of onions. Yummy, yummy and yummy. Love the wedding pictures. I'll post mine at the end.

Last Try Fo Reals...........

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

WOOT! WOOT!

Yeah you did it. You are da bomb

My advice: keep lots of measuring tools handy in the kitchen, and learn what portion sizes are, so you have some control when you go out. When I gained the biggest amount of weight, I measured what I normally ate, like a bowl of cereal, and found and I was eating 3 times the serving size.Hey, I got 22,500! If you look back at the birthday list, mine is 2/25, so that's kind of a lucky number for me.

Congrats to you on the 22,500 and I hear ya on the cereal thing me too

Not if he happens to be a vampire like Edward or his brother Emmett. Hubba hubba! (do people still ever say Hubba Hubba?)

Ok now I have to get those books. Maybe for Valentine's Day I'll get them from the kids

And no, I never got out of PJs, just changed into new ones after the mini-stepper/hot tub.

I never got out of mine and didn't change them when I get to bed (except my undies)

Good news is last night DH and I decided that if we can swing it $$$ wise we will go to WDW over my kids SPring Break!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Melinda - cute haircut and love the color

I was wondering if any of you peeps could help me on a non dieting issue? im in the process of planning my honeymoon. We are going to spend some time in Maui and then Disneyland...

We went to Maui for our honeymoon but we stayed at a Marriot, I think. So beautiful there you're gonna love it.

Hello everyone,
I'd really like to join your Peeps if you'll have me....I really need to be accountable for my weight loss and need the motivation you guys provide!

Welcome Kelly, I'm Laura and I am married to Michael for 11 years. We have three kids, Christopher 8, Nicholas 6 and Elizabeth 25 months. I do WW too. I joined the peeps a couple of months and they are wonderful. Eygpt sounds great.

Hi ya peeps. Ok I left you yesterday with my nephews and niece sleeping over. All was good until ............ dinner. We had pizza and I wrote down my points for two slices with tomato and garlic and a large salad. Which I ate but later on I had two more slices. Pizza is not a good thing for me. I think I need to buy some WW frozen ones for times like this. I LOVE PIZZA. Anyway, back on track today. One day is not going to kill me. Oh and if anyone is wondering I did get out of PJ's today. Here's my wedding picture. I am 26 and DH is 27. I am 37 now and he is 38. Sorry it's so big, I don't know how to shrink it.

love the pic! you're sooooooo pretty! awhile back a bunch of peeps posted their wedding pics and it was pretty funny to see some of the hairdos and styles from the '70's and '80's!

Actually there is one. Her name is Sandy.

huh? i'm confused. (again!)

Ive been to Egypt one time before but to the Red Sea area, more relaxation that sightseeing, so Im really looking forward to this trip!
Im more motivated already reading through some (not all!) of the pages - shame its nearly time for me to go to bed!

I am in the east coast and it's 5:06 pm here. Oh I forgot to say about the stone thing, I need to lose a driveway:scared1:

Laura, love the pic!! And :rotfl: on the driveway comment!

Hi Kat
Im doing (or will be doing) Weight watchers. It worked for me before, but for some reason the 2nd time round is so much harder! Maybe its me!
The chilli sounds great, enjoy the gym! Seems strange to me with the time difference, its 9pm here and im Dis'ing in my PJ's!

WW is a good program, I am just too cheap to invest in it. The calorie count thing works pretty well for me so I am sticking to it.

Good luck!!

That sucks about the sponge... I would definitely find a good hairdresser for a consult. Mine was great in that he gave me a long-term plan rather than a quick-fixer, and the long term didn't include having to go to him for coloring every 5-6 weeks!

I am the same way on the cheap date front... it is amazing how much less you can drink when you restrict food intake!

Unfortunately I only fit in 15 min on the elliptical today, as I had to get back to pick up a prescription before the pharmacy closed. I guess 15 min is better than nothing!

Hey, Peeps!* How's everyone's day been?* Ready to return to work tomorrow?

We went into D.C. and went to some festivities at the Botanical Garden and then had lunch in Chinatown.* I had beef and broccoli (no rice). I am doing Atkins, so it isn't that bad except for the stinkin BROWN SAUCE over it!* It made me feel kinda icky, cause I do not want to stray from the plan.* But somehow, since it was kind of against my will (nice logic, huh?), it is not gonna make me spiral out of control!

DisneygalUK:* Welcome!* Good luck with your impending nuptials! I know you can lost those 14 pounds!! :grouphug:

SexyLexy...I LOVE your pic!* You look even cuter than in your glowtini pic!!

DisneyLaura, your wedding pic is beautiful! And I see from your ticker that you have lost 40 pounds!! WOW!* Good going, lady! :thumbsup2* Stay strong!*

Mony Mony! Hey, I was curious, as another 5'11" fabulous lady, what is your target weight? I am wondering if mine is around what yours is. You can PM if you are not comfortable posting it here. Thanks! :)

I love DC! THe Botanical Gardens are beautiful. Our Christmas Card picture from a few years ago was taken there!

Tomorrow morning I AM going to the gym to sign up!!!!

If I don't, will someone please come and kick my butt??

Did I miss the post about the "MAGIC SHOES"?

Do you think they could help my feet with that plantar thingy? Of course if there wasnt so much of "ME" for my feet to carry that could help too. My crocs have made it some better but still after a few nights working my feet are killing me again. I couldnt even think about running-

I had to quit taking any tylenol, motrin, or asprin- my stomach felt like I had swallowed glass.

So tell me about the "magic shoes"- I am beginning to think NewBalance were invented by a doctor who needed my co-pay to furnish his new condo.

Allie:

Fleet Feet opening in Bham on 1/11. Gonna check then out- I'm tired of my feet hurting. The shoes cant be anymore than the $230 pair of "custom orthotics" that the doctor said I just had to have and insurance didnt cover and I only wore once for about an hour- Could have invested my money in better shoes.

from what I can gather you all motivate each other, which is great, and I have to post a bikini picture - I cant seem to find all of yours though!:scratchin
:lmao: you just gotta keep lookin, we all did it! really we did!:rotfl:

DinseyGalUKelly - Welcome!!! That's right you go to bed about the time we all get cookin' around here. Post often so we can get to know you. Weigh in day is friday. Just post how much you lost in pretty bold numbers like this.....-2 lbs. so that UM can keep the tally for us.

Pixie - I got Asics Gel - Kayano 14. They are like walking on clouds. :cloud9:

Dawn and Melinda - You are both gorgeous!

Sparkie - Good luck at Fleet Feet! :thumbsup2 They were definitely CHEAPER than those orthodics.

Ok, I really NEED to be packing. I have at least gotten the suitcases out of the attic.

OKay Allie and Sparkie, i have been fighting Plantar Faciitis for 3+ yrs now. I finally invested in some good shoes and I got the Asics Gel Kayano, then then next pair was Asic Gel Nimbus. Allie you will LOVE these shoes! They are the bomb. my feet have heeled almost 100%. I still have trouble with running, but they dont hurt me to walk and stand anymore. I have found that doing the stretches has helped, but also doing calf raises, of all things, has helped...

good choice on shoes! they are so worth the money

Tomorrow morning I AM going to the gym to sign up!!!!

If I don't, will someone please come and kick my butt??

good for you!!!! and if you don't we'll be here waiting to kick your booty...then to pick you back up when we're done!

I was good all week! However I was simply horrible Friday and Saturday! Good news is last night DH and I decided that if we can swing it $$$ wise we will go to WDW over my kids SPring Break!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: SO I figure that gives me 10 weeks to lose 16 lbs

You lucky lady! The 16 lbs. is totally doable. Especially with a Disney incentive.

Results from yesterday via my new web cam....

Love the picture. You look great. I'm growing my hair out to see if there's any discernible gray, but i did color DD's hair brown the other day. One day, I'm going to ask her to return the favor (not brown though; always blond or red for me).

I was wondering if any of you peeps could help me on a non dieting issue? im in the process of planning my honeymoon. We are going to spend some time in Maui and then Disneyland...

Has anyone been to disneyland? if so how many days and night would we need there in order to experience everything. we plan on staying at the grand californian...any help would be awesome..i need to book this soon and have to make a final decision i could use any help i could get...thanks a bunch!

I'd say 3-4 nights at DL. Are you planning to go anywhere offsite (Universal, Knott's Berry Farm, Hollywood or San Diego)? I've been at least once a year for my entire life, at least twice a year for the last 23 years, so feel free to PM me with any questions.

Hello everyone,

Ok, a little about me...My name is Kelly, im 26, getting married in August and I need to lose a stone in weight - my fuzzy math tells me this is 14lb!
Welcome! Best wishes on the upcoming wedding.

And for Kelly and LMO Laura - Have you considered attending an Engaged Encounter with your fiances? DH and I present them here, but they go on all over the world. It is a weekend retreat to help prepare couples for marriage. They are a lot of fun, and give a lot of tips on how to keep love alive for a lifetime. Google it if you want to find out more about it.

Here's my wedding picture. I am 26 and DH is 27. I am 37 now and he is 38. Sorry it's so big, I don't know how to shrink it.

ourwedding-1.jpg

Love the picture. You were a beautiful bride. How does this thread attract only great-looking peeps?

More pixie dust needed in my family. I slept in a little this morning, so literally ran to church. I walked home at a slightly slower pace, and when I got to my front door, DH pulls the door open looking panicky. He tells me my sister has been admitted to the hospital for pneumonia. 5 years ago this week my dad got pneumonia, went into a coma and passed away. Last year, my mom went into the hospital with pneumonia this same week. Now my sister. It's just a little extra scary because of the experience w/ my dad.
Please pray for my sister. It was weird, because at church this morning, I was praying for her to find the strength to quit smoking. Assuming everything goes well in the hospital, maybe this is the kick in the pants she needs to quit.
