DIS Meet Dec 8 07

Still in Ocean City, MD and it is cold. ;)

We went to Delaware yesterday to do some shopping. I came away from the Disney discount store with two LARGE bags of stuff.

Annette came away from Coldwater Creek Outlet store with three LARGE bags :thumbsup2

:goodvibes Happy Wednesday All! The day before Valentine's Day. Does anyone have any special plans for tomorrow? We were suppose to be at WDW this week.:sad1: April can't get here soon enough.:rolleyes1 The kids and I made Valentine cards for their friends and each other this morning. We are going to make Rice Krispies treats in a few minutes and then cut them out with my heart cookie cutter. Also, we are going to dip them in melted chocolate. I figure they can set overnight and be ready for giving tomorrow. Does anyone know if they sell Mickey head cookie cutters at WDW? I'd love to make Mickey RK treats sometime. :goodvibes

- Jennifer

I have a Mickey cookie cutter. I love using it also for cutout cookies.
I have had it for several years. They are sold at the kitchen shop at Marketplace.

:cool1:

:thumbsup2 I have been on a couple of 2010 threads too. :sail: We are hoping that the Magic returns to Europe in 2010. I guess they were fined for not spending enough time at Port Canaveral when they went to the Med last year. I assume that is why the Magic isn't straying too far from Florida in 2009. How do you put in a request for a 2010 and beyond cruise? Can we do that for the new ships too? :tinker:Jennifer

We faxed a request to be waitlisted for inaugaral cruise for any ship 2010 or 2011 and got it returned with comment, not accepting waitlist for the new ships yet! :lmao: :sad2: We are pathetic!!

 We love Ocean City, MD. We spent a few day on the boardwalk a few years ago. We went during the summertime. So, we experienced a lot different weather than you are right now. At least you have the ocean to look at. Enjoy! :goodvibes I haven't been to the Disney outlet at Grapevine Mills since before our December trip. I need to make it out there before our April trip. I want to find Will a Disney t-shirt that I can iron on some wording regarding his birthday. I love surprises. :cool1:

 Happy Valentine's Day!

:goodvibes I hope you all enjoy the day/evening with your loved ones. The kids and I made the heart-shaped RK treats last night. Today, we are making heart-shaped sugar cookies. Bill is responsible for bringing home dinner and we are responsible for dessert. I broke down and got Will and Emily another Webkinz for Valentine's Day. Does anyone else have children that are into these? It is crazy. Will is finishing up his homeschool work for today so he can log onto Webkinz. They have something special on there for Valentine's Day. I got Will a green frog and Emily the heart-covered frog. I thought it was fitting because Will asked me the other day if he could get a pet frog. This will have to suffice.

- Jennifer

Thanks Tina and Happy Valentine's Day to all.
Wife of Boss called, guess she doesn't like her Valentines flowers. It sounds like she expected roses. Asked if I specified what kind of flowers when I ordered, I told her Boss told me mixed bouquet. She mumbled oh, ok, bye. Darned if I do and darned if I don't.:confused3 Maybe she should just be glad she got flowers.:rolleyes1

Jas doesn't have Webkinz, but Build-a-Bear has a little online community that you can register your BABs on. She was having a blast on it!

My boss's wife sent HIM flowers today. That was a first! He did like them--they were gorgeous pink roses.

Jim and I don't exchange gifts or cards. We save our money and spend it on things like trips to WDW and cruises. Neither of us really NEEDS anything at this point in our lives (well except maybe a new stove, but that's not the best Valentine's Day gift:rotfl:), so that really works well for us!

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

I send Dennis flowers every once in awhile. I sent him some for his birthday on Feb 5, so none today. I did kind of cheat a bit. He was working at a Safeway store so I called the floral dept and asked them to do something and take it back to him in the pharmacy. Much, much less $$ than having a florist deliver. :flower3: I got a very pretty Calla Lily plant for him with 2 balloons. He liked them. :goodvibes

:lmao: On the radio on the way home the afternoon talk guys were doing commercial time and they were saying it would be great to get your wife this new fancy smancy furnace for Valentines. :confused3  I was thinking "don't EVEN get me a new furnace for Valentines! That is almost as good as a brand spankin' new ironing board for your birthday!" We really don't exchange many gifts anymore either. We both get what we want all the time and get stuff for each other whenever we see something the other might like. I really like getting just because I thought you would like it gifts better than have to for some holiday or celebration gifts. I gotta say though even though I would not have been upset if DrHug got me nothing, I was touched when I found the flowers on the table this morning. :goodvibes

Nothing special here for Valentine's. It's also DH's birthday. I got him a birthday card and a Valentine's card. He went out last week and bought himself a 52" flat screen TV so I told him that was his birthday, Valentine's, and next Christmas's presents! :headache:

We also don't do anything for Valentine's Day but go to dinner. I did get My card.. Told ya so..

I make him promise me NO roses for Valentine's day.. They are like triple the cost.. Plus the 35 roses I got for my Birthday 2/1 are still alive.. a little droopy but still smell nice..

:goodvibes
