Good afternoon ladies, nice,bright and sunny here, yeah!!

Lisa - I hope you feel better today. Take it easy though. Nothing makes you feel better like a few new additions to the wardrobe!

Laura - Praying for you sista

Laurie - I hope they find out what definetely is wrong with your ds. I am sure it is frustrating to him too. My ds had to have both a mri and a ct scan of his knee. So I hope the mri shows something definite or even if its o.k.

I forgot to say yest. that I gained 4 lbs.I guess that is o.k. The dr. didnt say anything about it. Well I went to fill the prescription today and the pharmacist says the dr. forgot to write how to take it, so he cant fill the prescription. They put in a call to the office. I dont know her hours or days there etc. I dont think she is even there today. O.K. maybe by monday etc. Ds visit to the surgeon went well today. He took out some plastic sheets, thin film like things. He said ds nose is so sweollen he almost couldnt get the stitches out. So now ds is freaking out thet he can actually breathe and smell thing in 1 nostril. He was going around the house sniffing us, etc. Seems strange. I guess we just take smelling etc. for granted. But I am thanking God for that too. He will go back on the 17th. Gosh, I think I live at the surgery center these days, lol!! I might actually go shooping too as I need something for a dinner next week. I will just get a top as I am wearing pants. I am sure all the other ladies will have dresses but I dont care. With my stomach I cant handle that right now etc. Have a great week end everyone.

GAGWTA all!

The cold continues to improve slightly. I have a consult with my surgeon on August 12th (next Wednesday). I hope he accepts me as a patient. This could get sticky, I don't use an endocrinologist at OHSU for my Cushing's stuff, so he may reject me based on this. We'll see. I hope not. I guess I'm hoping for the best, bracing for the worst.

Going to the county fair tonight so I'll be resting today. Can't spend all my spoons earlier.

GAGWTA everyone! How's the weekend going?

I had this really weird dream the other night, but it was so poignant.

I was stuck in the hospital and I was begging them to let me play hockey again. For some reason there was an ice rink in the hospital and I found myself up in the stands above that are partitioned off by glass. My goalie gear suddenly appeared, but every time I tried to put it on, something would happen. Something would break or I'd forget something. All the while everyone else was finished dressing and were headed for the ice and I started screaming, "I just want to play hockey!" And I started crying.

This dream has been haunting me the last few nights because I have to make the decision to go get my referee certification in a few weeks knowing that I probably won't use it again this year. I also know that I won't be putting on the gear again and I'm so depressed by it. I miss it more than living an actual life.

snappy...always take the BP meds and practice deep breathing at meetings as well Of course there was the time I was breathing deep to maintain control during a meeting - and then later got accused of "exagerated sighing" Ahhh, work. Too bad we must do it to pay the bills and indulge our Disney therapy

Laura - good to see you posting sista. So do you have the morphine pump? I was loving that thing after my bowel resection. Just you gotta drag the whole thing with you etc.

Ann - I think "Disney therapy" is the best kind of therapy too

Lisa - How was the fair? Any good food there? I would say go for your certification if you feel up to it. My one ds has the lifeguard one and he really isint using it at the gym these days, he is just doing the kids fitness most of the time and that is not involving swimming., just the gym stuff.

well dh didnt take me shopping and I dont feel like taking my non airconditioned van out in almost 90 degress etc. So I told him I dont know if I will go tomm. The boys are all going to the beach today, yeah and yippee, peace and quiet for me. Oh the pharmacy called, so I guess they must have gotten a hold of my dr. or someone who could do the rx., but I wil start it wed. so if I do go to the dinner with dh at least I wont be running to the bathroom all the time etc.

Linda and Sha - so what would be a normal amount of going if I take the bp pill with the diuretic. I dont want to be running to the bathroom like every hour on the hour etc. I told her if that happend I am not taking that med, just the normal bp med. And dont you think its weird for her put me on this and then never see me again to check my bp until dec?

Havent been on much lately... was at WDW last Wed but was unable to meet up with JSG. Did call her and tell her Happy Birthday though. Hope I can get there again before she leaves. Things are just busy with me being alone at work this week.

LMP- I was going to say that you will look just as fabulous as those ladies in dresses. And just think you, you will be the more comfortable than them toting girdles and everything else.

Disney therapy is the best kind of therapy out there.

The fair was really nice. I had a good time. The milkshakes are sooooo good. Plus the onion-aire burgers, loaded with grilled onions! Yum! Lots of stuff you have no need for, but just have to buy 'cause it's the fair! Ha ha ha.

I complained to the hospital about their lack of support groups for people like me last night. I haven't heard back from them yet. I told them I was very disappointed that a brand new building with a dedicated young adult clinic that is highly touted amongst the YA survivorship would discriminate against someone with any type of tumor. We'll see what they say. I also would like to know what they have to say about the social worker telling my friend with the exact same diagnosis as me to use their services.

Hi Linda, Candy, Melissa, and anyone I've missed. There has been a lot going on here and I haven't posted very often but I think of all of you every day.

I know I've asked this question before and I know Melissa will be in WDW when we are but now I have exact dates. We will be at the Boardwalk from 12/30 to 1/3 and then 1/6 to 1/11. The in-between dates we will be on the 3 night Bahama Cruise to Nassau. If any of you decide at the last minute that you need a Disney break, please let me know and perhaps we can plan to meet for a short visit.

I need you all to pray for a friend of mine. You all know how powerful the boards are about bringing friends who have the love of Disney. How even though we havent met, we become a bit of family.

my friend Jennifer, Jenroc on the boards... died this morning of a heart attack. She has left two children in the care of her mother and her brother. I can't remember how old the kids are right now... Im just beside myself. This is who I was suppose to go to DL with in December. She was my 2 kingdoms one day partner... plus any others that were to join in.
