What kind of travel to you want to use it for? For example, Southwest Rapid Rewards is just for Southwest flights, whereas Chase Sapphire Preferred gives you Ultimate Reward Points that can be redeemed in a variety of ways, including transferred to select airline and hotel partners. I'm a huge fan of earning "points" that can be redeemed as I choose - my preference is to get into the Chase Ultimate Rewards (I have Chase Sapphire Reserve for x3 on travel & restaurants, Chase Freedom for rotating x5 categories, Chase Ink for x5 on my internet, cellphone, cable, and streaming services & x2 on gas, and Chase Unlimited for everything else at x1.5 - I can transfer all those points into my Chase Sapphire Reserve and with the Reserve, i get 50% more in value when I redeem for travel on their site, which I often do to book tours and activites for "free" or to book JetBlue using "points" but have the flight count as a paid flight with JetBlue to earn points, but I usually transfer my other points to airline partners for rewards), but I DO also have the JetBlue Plus Card because I love JetBlue and want to maximize points when traveling on them. And of course I have the Disney Plus Card. I also earn a number of Amex Points with the Amex Gold (x4 groceries, x4 restaurants) and Amex Blue Business (x2 everything else). The Chase Sapphire Reserve is not a low annual fee, however, though the other Chase cards are all $0 annual fee.
