I am trying to sort out all of the dining options, and am realizing that some places have dinner shows, and some don't. I am still a little unsure how I will be able to use the Disney your way Dining plan for them though.

Can you give me a suggestion for something that we would enjoy, or at least isn't too, purely geared towards kids. Different cultures are fun for us, we are into pretty normal stuff. We enjoy disney but aren't huge character people (as in we won't run around getting their autographs for ourselves).

Also, if you know how exactly the Dining plan will work with these shows, that would be great.

Thanks so much for the help!!

Eric

We are in our late 20's too. Ok Well DH is Im 30 now :rolleyes1 Anyways we really liked the prime time cafe for the fun aspect but for a Dinner show we both liked Hoop De Doo revue. It was fun and the food was yummy.

I second the Hoop Dee Doo... Hubby (25) and I (30) LOVE it. We go at least once a year (sometimes twice), we live locally ;) My parents brought me to it for the first time in 1980 and it is the only thing I remember from that entire vacation. The song is catchy, the show is fun and the food is really good. That would be my choice for "Dinner Show"... I also agree that the Prime Time is fun, although not a dinner show it has great food in a fun atmosphere...

If you do decide to do the Hoop Dee Doo Review it will be 2 TS credits each on the Dining Plan. The dinner shows are 2 credits each.
Another thought is Morroco in Epcot, which has a band and belly dancers during dinner, or the Biergarten in Germany which has a German Band type "show" on the hour. These are not dinner "shows" per se, but restaurants with entertainment. These would only be 1 TS credit each.
Hope this helps.

Morocco sounds PERFECT. We love Mediterranean food, and the culture as well. Do you know of anyone who has been there? Any opinions? I'll go search for some myself.

Great...this is awesome...Thanks again!

Does anyone know if something like a funnel cake at the Kiosk in the American section of Epcot would be considered a "snack" or counter service meal. Or is it even included?

I am having a tough time getting a handle on the dining plan thing. I have a list of restaurants that are included, but I have no clue if there are tons of other places that aren't included. Is there a list out there with restaurants that AREN'T included in the plan?

Thanks again...it is great to have people to ask these questions....and everyone is really nice and helpful.

Two thumbs up for Morocco... We LOVE it. Hubby and I stumbled upon it a few years ago and I feel that it does not get the recognition that it deserves. Out of all the Epcot dining locations it is my favorite. We always seem to miss the Belly dancer, but the atmosphere is great, the food is fabulous (lemon chicken for me) and the service is wonderful. It is usually not too crowded either (which is nice for us cause it is usually a last minute decision when we go).... But definetly we recommend it...

LOVE Morocco! It's a good choice. There are a lot of threads praising it to the skies if you do a search. The shows are about once an hour, with the band starting, then the bellydancer comes out. It's rarely crowded, service is excellent, the food is even better, and the decor is gorgeous. In the lobby are copies of letters from George Washington to the king of Morocco. I recommend the chicken bastilla and beef brewat rolls - yummy. Spend some time exploring while you are here - take the time to read the plaques explaining about the architecture. The entire pavilion was constructed by Moroccan craftsmen as a gift to the people of the US. There is a free tour of the pavilion, too, if you are so inclined.

Can't help you much on the dining plan questions, but most of the food stalls (like the funnel cake stand) have markers on the menu to let you know if an item qualifies for a snack credit or not. I think the funnel cakes are not included... I know some ice cream bars aren't even covered.

You can find menus and lists of restaurants here and on allears. Most accept dining plan. Enjoy!

If you love Mediterranian food, you should also check out Spoodles. It's located on the Boardwalk (quick boat ride from Epcot's International Gate), and has some great tapas items on its menu. No dinner show, but great dinner for a couple (My DH and I found it on our honeymoon, and it was one of our favorite meals).

We also liked Hoop de Doo, however. So much fun! To make the most of your dining dollars, make sure to check the menus in advance. Some places are better deals than others for the category they are in (1 credit vs. 2 credits)
