Hi,

I called this morning bright and early to make a dinner reservation for Dining with a Disney Imagineer, but was told that they dont do dinner and were clueless to what I was talking about. They stated that its only lunch. Anyone know if this is a new policy or has it been like that for a while? I was really counting on dinner, but will have to do lunch.

Has anyone done this recently? Is it worth it? It sounds interesting and its something different that we have never done. We will be on our honeymoon and want to do unique things on this trip..any other suggestions? We are doing the fireworks the first night our our honeymoon and doing the all day behind the magic tour or three parks.

Thanks for any suggestions!!

but I am eager to see an answer to your question. We have talked about doing this and DH would LOVE it. Where do you eat? What are the costs? etc.

I believe the cost is $60.99 for lunch....and if they still do dinner (which it doesnt seem like they do) it was/is about 100.00. Its located at the Brown Derby in MGM.

I was recently quoted this from Disney Dining:

Currently the lunch price is 60.99 per adult and tax and gratutity is automatically added to your bill. I do know that this can only be booked 30 days out.

For Disney Dining - you want the Brown Derby - Lunch with an Imagineer - usually the CM has to "hunt" for it.

It was a dinner last August which my daughter and I did - the bill was lots more - and mine included the wine pairing.

For dinner I am remembering which we had to substitute due to sea food allegies, I remember the cobb salad as a choice and 3 choices for main meal (we had the beef and our Imagineer had sea food) and 2 choices for dessert -the chocolate was out of this world - sorry my menu is with the plate which is packed away

I didn't realize that they were still doing Lunch with an Imagineer! Shoot - I would have scheduled one for our upcoming trip! :)

We did the luunch in March and it was an incredible experience. DW and I had Filet. We had Mulligiwatny Soup and salad and something for dessert.

It is some the best money we ever spent and we will be doing it again!

We did this a couple of years ago when it was new (they called it "Lunch with an Artist" then). It was lunch only then; at the Brown Derby at MGM. It was a really nice experience. We had lunch with 2 artists. A couple of weeks before our trip they called us and asked what our favoirte Disney movies were, and then told us a little about the projects that the two artists we would be eating with had worked on. The service is excllent, and the chef himself came in at one point. You eat in this nice little private dinning room off of the main dining room. We really enjoyed it. At the end the artists signed a glass plate that was engraved with "Lunch with an Artist" with a gold pen and they also signed our menus which were personalized with our names on them. I don't know that I would do this again (we have a little one now and it would not be the same kind of leisurely adult lunch with her there :rotfl: ) but it was a neat excperience and one we were very glad we did.

HTH
