I found some useful info lurking around here prior to our recent trip, so I will try and return the favor.
We spent 10 generally excellent days at Disney last month and ate at the following restaurants, many in the Epcot/Bordwalk area since we stayed there.
First and foremost: What they are calling coffee at WDW these days is truly disgusting, especially at 1.75/cup. In past years I remembered liking Disney coffee so I believe it has changed and in fact several times I felt sure it was instant coffee.
Mr Eisner, if you are listening: The ill will that can be generated by serving lousy coffee, especially to people paying big $$, should not be underestimated.
Anyway, the restaurants:
Flying Fish. Excellent, there were 4 of us and we ate here twice so we tried most things on the menu without a single dissapointment. About $200 both times, without wine, but well worth it. Would go back daily if I could.
Spoodles. Dinner. Pretty good, not great. Good service. Will probably return in the future.
Breakfast: Food quality very good, nice selection of unusual items, the Morrocan pancakes were tasty. Service was poor, they seemed understaffed, our food took forever and was not served together, one of us had practically finished before some food arrived. Might return.
Yacht Club Galley. Breakfast. Decent buffet, the biscuits/gravy were stone cold. Coffee tasted particularly awful here. Convienence and price were plusses here. Might return.
Cape May Cafe. Breakfast. Good selection. Overpriced, I guess they have to pay the characters...Would only return if the kids insisted on it.
Beaches & Cream. Lunch. Pretty good food & service if you can get a table.
Big river grill. Lunch Food was ok but overpriced. Service was excellent. Beer was tasty. Might return.
ESPN: Quck & easy meal. Acceptable price/quality/selection. No good draft beers (just my opinion of the selection of course). Probably will return.
Garden Grill. Dinner. In the past we enjoyed this restaurant, however this time the food was served room temperature at best so I may not return for a while. The steak on the platter was tasty and the pumpkin cheesecake was very good also. Service was slow particularly on the cheesecake. Would it kill them to preslice the bread so everyone at the table doesnt have to handle it and then pass it on..
Canada: I forgot the name of the place. Quite good, both the food and the service. Portions were good sized, breadsticks were excellent. Place is a bit cramped but I would go again.
France: Chefs de France. Dinner. Very good, and not as expensive as I had envisioned. Servers were attentive and prompt. The French beer was not my style. 3 adults, about $130.
Will probably return.
Hpllywood & Vine. Lunch buffet. Pretty good as buffets go. Characters did a good job. Might return.
If anyone has specific questions, I will try to answer them.
