Hi there,

After much reading on this board and a few calls to the ADR line, I made my way to WDW with some ressies in hand and have some comments to share with you!

November 13 - Epcot Food and Wine Festival
The first day of our trip was the last day of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. So, as soon as we got to our resort, we dropped everything and went over there for lunch. I tried that really good fruity champagne from Italy that everyone had been talking about... and we sampled things from so many countries along the way... that I can't even remember. The highlight was definitely the cheese soup from Le Cellier (Canada) which I had 2 of... and the worst, or biggest disappointment I would say is the hummus at Morrocco. I got a big scoop of hummus and one chip.
For dinner, we had a ressie at Morrocco but decided to cancel 'cause we were extremely full and there just seemed to be so much more to do than eat. :confused3
So, after our long day at Epcot, we stopped by Good's to Go at OKW. I had the WORST hot dog I have ever had...

November 14 - Magic Kingdom
This day we stopped by the Noodle Station in Tomorrow Land for lunch. DF and I split a pop, the Teriyaki Chicken and some Potstickers. I would highly recommend this for lunch if you want something different, other than hotdogs and burgers. It was very filling for both of us, but I will warn that the rice was a little tooooo sticky. Oh! And, this is also the part where I get some sauce all over my shirt. :teeth:

For Dinner, we had a reservation at Ohana and I don't even know where to start... it was absolutely the BEST MEAL I have ever had in a very long time. In my whole life history of dining, I can only think of one restaurant that even compares to Ohana... it is my new favourite restaurant in the world. I filled up quite a bit on the famous fried wontons that everyone talks about, if anyone has the dip receipies, I would love them! I was a little worried that it would be a little too much meat for me but I ended up doing fine. DF loved all the meat and I particularily enjoyed the turkey. The wings were good... and the scalloped potatoes were the best ever! I got the recipie and will put it up in another post. :wizard: Also, I don't like bread pudding (I don't!) but this was great... I highly recommend it.

November 15 - Animal Kingdom
After Ohana, we were already considering cancelling our Boma reservation 'cause we had eaten so much and had such a great time, but we decided to keep it!
For lunch, we split a pulled pork sandwich at Flame Tree BBQ it was very good and filling for the both of us. We also split onion rings and key lime pie, both of which were mediocre. We would eat here again.

By the time our Boma ADR came around, we were pretty hungry and had high hopes. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy Boma quite so much. We love trying new foods and different spice combos. I was looking forward to the flatbread I had heard so much about. I found that this restaurant was very overrated. I didn't quite so much the buffet line that you had to stand in, but liked the meats, salads and soup. Everything else was just ok. And, the desserts and pot of coffee (in a press!) were excellent. We would have saved more room for these if we had known. But, we don't think that we'll be eating at Boma again.
I give Boma: ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

By this time, we had eaten so much, we decided to cancel our Chef Mickey's ressie for Friday. It seemed like overkill to keep going to buffets. I really wanted to go to Chef Mickey's... but, it will have to wait until another trip.

More to come...

Thanks for the great reviews. Hope you had a magical trip!

Ohana's sounds fabulous! I'm hoping Boma's will be better for us though -- I'm so looking forward to experiencing the African atmosphere.

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for posting.

Thanks for the reviews. 'Ohana seems to be getting better and better reviews, so they must've worked out whatever kinks they had when making the recent changes to the menu. Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much! :)

I like the rate system also! Do you mind if when we go in January and I come back to post my reviews, if I use your system?

For your reviews and I enjoyed reading them. :goodvibes :wave2:

Thanks for the dining report. Sorry you missed Marrakesh. It remains a favorite of our family -- even the picky kids put it at the tip of their Epcot list. Also sorry you didn't enjoy Boma. We have enjoyed both breakfasts and dinners here. The only time we've ever stood in line is for made-to-order omelets. They are so good that it is worth it! Again, even our kids love Boma. We have enjoyed all of the CS restuarants at AK. Last trip, dh enjoyed the pulled-pork sandwich at TS, while I had the very fresh fruit salad. Yum!
