The cleaning done between guests (before you arrive and after you leave) is a full cleaning, so how much do your many short stays cost owners in dues for housekeeping, compared to what it would cost if you stayed in one place for 8 nights or more so that you got a full cleaning during your stay? Think about it, if you stayed 2 nights in one room, 3 nights in another, and 3 in another, that’s 8 nights but 3 full cleanings instead of one. So why do you feel housekeeping charges in your dues are unfair? If DVC required reservations be at least 5 nights or longer, just think how the housekeeping portion of our dues would decrease.Makes sense, it would be unfair for owners who dont own resale to have to pay for that, thats how I feel about housekeeping charges in my dues, we never stay long enough in one hotel for a full cleaning
They have to clean before and after no matter what. Many people do short stays. The people that stay 8 days get three cleanings for themselves. We get two. If everybody did long stays except for me then I see your point, maybe that would mean I was creating more cleanings than everyone else and should be charged, but there will be multiple cleanings no matter what.
I wonder why PIT gave us daily housekeeping, I made sure they knew we were DVC, either way they win in the end because it made us enjoy our stay that much more to start saving for the purchase

This has been a great enhancement to the program.... And their willingness to bring coffee, soap, etc. etc.
up to you... you could, for example, finance the new contract and pay it off after the proceeds come through... Interest, even at a high percentage, wouldn't be a huge amount of dollars relatively speaking if paid off quickly...

Member Administration. They’re the folks who deal w/ loading newly purchased points & other numbers type stuff. I think MA deals w/ MF (maintenance fees) payment issues too. Once you close on your new resale contract you’ll be waiting for MA to load your points.
We the DVC owners through our respective condo associations contract with some other Disney entity to employ housekeepers. We pay salaries and benefits. The more rooms that need to be cleaned on a given day, the more housekeeping personnel we’d need, thus the higher that expense would be. Daily housekeeping might not double that component of our dues, but it would certainly increase it a great deal compared to current housekeeping frequency.
DVC is a timeshare-hotel hybrid. Many owners expect hotel services instead of the kind of service they’d get if they co-owned a cottage at the seashore with their best friend and took turns using it, which is the timeshare model.
