Dining Plan & Credit Card Deposits

Sorry if this has been asked, but

if you are on the dining plan, how do they handle meals, such as CRT, that require a credit card deposit? I thought that they did not charge your credit card until the 48 hour prior-to-meal period begins, but I looked on my statement and I already have the $30.00 charge on there (and I am 85 days away!) Do they refund it?

Good question, I need to go and look if they charged me too, they told me they wouldn't since I was on the meal plan. . going to my bank website now.

I don't see it on my bank statement. How long did it take for yours to show up. I made it the PS two days ago, I'm hoping we don't get charged. How does this work normally though, do they charge you 30 dollars extra for the meal, deduct the 30 from your bill??

Do you have the magic your way plus dinning? When I made my ps I had to make sure I told them I had that plan and they took my credit card number but did not charge my credit card. For one of my PS"s they had me wait and went back and redid the hole ps because they have to put down the dining plan in the begining. This was about two weeks ago and for 2 different ps's and none have shown up on my statement.

They shouldn't have charged you if you're using the dining plan, just used the card to "hold" the reservation in case you're a no-show.


You should call back and get a refund.
