I have a tote full of paper scrapbooking supplies, but never have time or incentive to open it. I keep saying "I'm going to start that one of these days" But we all know how "one of these days" never seems to come around. So, I've stumbled across digital scrapbooking and now I'm thinking I can do that easier than the old fashioned way. But, I've never tried it and it might be harder than paper scrappin, I don't know. I'm looking for those of you that have done both and your opinions on pros & cons of both so I can decide to go one way or the other.

I'm thinking that supply storage would be less of an issue with digital. Also, it would be more easily accessible. Right now it would take more time to get out, organize and choose supplies than it would to actually make a page. With digital I don't see that being much of a problem.

Digi can be a little hard at first while you are learning your program, but after you're comfortable with your software, it's fun and easy. :) I personally love it because, as you stated, there's no mess to deal with. And I feel I have so many more options as far as layout creations, since it's fairly easy to manipulate colors and sizes of things within your program. Here's a good FAQ written by one of our members, and the first section is all about "Why digiscrapping?":
Digital Scrapping FAQ

One Con I can think of offhand is that even though it's possible to digiscrap cheaply, it's also possible to spend quite a bit of money. Most graphics programs require a good deal of memory, so you may be looking at an upgrade for your computer. Then, I've seen a lot of people want to improve their photography in order to have lovely photos for layouts. (Yes, I admit I'm talking about me here! ) And photography is an expensive hobby. And kits and such can take up a lot of room, so you're looking at having some external hard drives. I don't really want to add up the cost of all the electronic goodies I've bought over the past year. :rolleyes1

Several of the popular programs for digiscrapping have free trials, so that may be a good way to check it out. Good luck with your decision!
