Did I dream it or is there a boat to MGM?

I thought there was a boat you could take from the EPCOT area resorts to MGM, but on our last trip I asked a MGM CM near the gate and he said there was no boat. I thought he was misinformed but then realized I have never actually SEEN one of these boats, certainly didn't see one that evening... Did I dream it? I know there is a path to walk to MGM; did I imagine the boat? We are staying at Beach Club Villas this July and I wondered about this!

Thanks!

Boats go from the International Gateway at EPCOT, to the Boardwalk dock, the Yacht Club/Beach Club Dock, the Swan/Dolphin dock, to MGM and back again, all day long, everyday.

Thanks, guys! I really like it when I hear I am not COMPLETELY losing my mind. Where in MGM does the boat stop? When the CM denied the boat's existence, I was fooled because I sure couldn't SEE a boat anywhere...

Its way off to the right of the park before you hit the security stands and ticket booths.

When you're exiting the park, the bus stops will be to the right. Keep walking straight and veer to the left. You can't miss seeing water, and the boat dock will be down a walkway to your left.

I'll also add that you can also walk back to all the Epcot resorts. Instead of veering to your left down the boat dock pathway, follow the pathway to the right of the pond. It's a nice walk (and lighted at night), but it would probably take about 20-25 to walk back to the BCVs from MGM. Fortunately, we are BWV owners, so the walk's a little less. Still, if the lines for the boat are huge, there is the walking option.

There is absolutely a boat from MGM to the Epcot resorts but they have been doing some work to the docks the last couple of weeks that forces them to close the docks. While we were there in the beginning of April the dock at the Swan/Dolphin was getting new cleats in fix a potential problem and their dock was closed forcing the guests at the Swan and Dolphin to take a bus. Maybe the CM was aware of this work going on at your resort and suggested you take the bus. :confused3

Not sure when all of the work on the docks should be done but they were supposed to be shutting them all down, one at a time until they were complete.

Imagine the confusion when they shut down the MGM dock.
