Did anybody watch the preview for the VGF?

I watched the video with Samantha Brown this past weekend and I was completely underwhelmed. The VGF filming had to be months ago because the exterior was more complete when I was in WDW around July 4th. No offers for VGF. 15 minutes of my life that I won't get back. What did you think of it?

I'm not in the market for adding-on but watched the presentation out of curiosity. I was surprised that no direct sales pitch/incentive was made for GF, instead pushing other properties. And along with that, I was surprised that those other properties were not featured in the presentation at all.

I would be curious to find out how well presentations such as these lead to sales...

Forgot to watch it as son came home to move more of his stuff out of the house the day I was registered; I just signed up for a do over, lol.

We watched it. I wasn't expecting big incentives for VGF since it is such a high-demand resort. I am also not surprised that they were offering discounts at some of the other properties (AKV). I'm sure they want to get those points sold and be done with those resorts.

We aren't in the market for more points, but I wanted to watch to see the units. We may not get a chance to visit the models in a couple of weeks, so I wanted to see them. Since that was my reason for watching, I was satisfied.

I wasn't overwhelmed or underwhelmed by the video. I imagine they filmed it a while ago so they could get it edited, prepared, etc.

I enjoyed seeing the villas, and it looks like a beautiful resort.

I watched dissapointed as well by just seeing a "artist's rendering" of what everything will look like, however it doesn't seem to be hurting DVC with their sales.

I was hoping to see something new and exciting, but so far it was all the same stuff I had seen from trolling the boards. If I had never looked into it I would have probably been satisfied. I knew there was NO WAY there would be a discount or incentive, I was expecting them to say buy before the price goes up...Maybe the lithograph will be nice though? I have never received one so I don't really know what to expect.

I got a good deal of it, specifically: there are few resort amenities planned for the villas; I should expect to walk over to the hotel for access to pools, spa, restaurants, etc. I didn't see a Community Hall in the video and thus won't expect one.

Edited to add: Looking back, I am glad the video emphasized Sam's traveling to different places (using a property map with moving dots to show traffic pattern). It helped drive home the lack of resort amenities.

I watched it and thought it was fine. I'm not one of those who is particularly enamored of the Grand Floridian, so I just watched it out of curiosity. It looks to me like a resort my wife and I might be interested in trying sometime after we are retired and empty nesters. Right now we have four kids underfoot ranging from ages 2 to 11, and it doesn't strike me as the best resort for families with young children. At least not for us. Maybe by then the demand won't be so high...

I feel the same way about the Grand Floridian. Our children range from 1-13 years old. I am much more interested in a Poly DVC.

I was disappointed to see absolutely NO incentives for anything less than a 160 pt block. Glad to see the economy is doing so much better at WDW than it is everywhere else in the country.

My bet is it will catch up with them. We shall see.

Is there ANY sign of saturating this market?

Although they were not mentioned during the webcast, there are incentives for both Aulani and Animal Kingdom Villas for purchases as little as 50 points. For purchases of 100 points, the incentive is equivalent to $15 a point. The Park Passes and Disney Gift incentives don't kick in until the 160-point level.
