Did any of you DVC'ers get free tickets?

My DH brought the mail in this afternoon and the first thing I open is from disney. We booked BWV for April a couple of weeks ago so I'm thinking "what is this?" Well inside we have 2 tickets for Mickey's Pirate and Princess Party.
Hmmm...$80 plus dollars! They're also for May...we're not going in May..what
is going on?? Checked my credit card activity...nothing.
Someone from disney must have pushed the wrong button. I hope that two other people aren't waiting for these tickets because they're at my house!!
Maybe they're a gift from DVC for the studio mugs/glasses fiasco:rolleyes1. I
did leave a message at ticketing because they closed at 4:45 but probably will call back tomorrow because you know they won't be rushing to call back.

Yep, I think you should just go in May. Can't let good tickets go to waste!

THey must be mine. I'm staying at the BWV and we'll be there in May??? Of course I didn't order any tickets. Maybe this is the OPs special dream!! Maybe hush money for no mugs and glasses, or hush money for the DVC quiet pool being closed April/May.

This trip in April was really spur of the moment for my DH and myself...just for 3 nights. We already have a trip planned for AKV for June of this year with our two DS's. Hey....we're from Massachusetts! The plane fares aren't cheap!
I'm going to call ticketing now. I'll let you know what they say.

Well I spoke to someone in ticketing who stated that "I" ordered the tickets. I said "No, I didn't." Ok but someone charged them and she gave the last four numbers on a credit card. My husband and I have our cards on the table going through them to make sure someone didn't use our number. Nothing. So she said just shred them. No way "lady" until you find out why they were sent and the "comment" states that I ordered them! And then "Oh, they're ordered through DVC." So we called DVC...they don't have any idea what happened. They tell us to call another number...not toll free of course. After a long wait, someone answered but didn't have an explanation either. Supposedly someone else is calling us later today..."he's in a meeting."

Well, since nobody has asked yet, IF they are the right date for our trip in May, I might like to buy them.

We're still waiting for that "person" to call us from ticketing. Gee, that meeting was supposed to have ended at 11:30. I think I'll call again. We're just worried about the charge to some other card and my name/address being involved. It's funny how they mentioned it was ordered through DVC but they don't know anything about it.

Very strange since tickets that have the AP/DVC discount need to be picked up in person at guest services. So if they were purchased through DVC in theory they can not be mailed to you as you need to show your member ID to pick them up.

Yup - we ordered DVC tickets and were told they can not mail them - they have to be picked up in person.

Very weird.

We finally called ticket services again and the cm transferred us to someone's voicemail. My DH and I are worried about credit card "fraud" and stuff...we don't want someone's voicemail! So we called DVC and spoke to an excellent DVC guide who put my DH on hold, then had us talking to a ticket agent who states well "I can give you a refund but I need your whole credit card number..."I didn't charge them. I'm not asking for a refund. The last four numbers on the charge don't match my cards!" I just want to make sure there isn't any fraud because they kept saying that "I" ordered the tickets and it was sent to my name and address. They couldn't figure out the mistake but it was ordered through DVC. Now we have to wait for a "supervisor" to call us within the next day or so.

Sounds like you are getting Punk'd! Or maybe Candid Camera! :happytv:

It seems really crazy that no one can provide an explaination for mailing the tickets to you. Surely there is an order screen or tracing information with input data.

I called Dvc and got our tickets with discount and they were mailed to the house 7 days later. We had to pay shipping, but they said we could have them shipped and they were.

just subscribing because I am curious as to what answer they can find. I too would be very worried that someone out there has a cc with my name on it. I would be calling a credit check bureau or something along those lines, since you have the last 4 #s and your name. Good LUck

Ditto here, we got tickets for April and they were delivered to house.
