I have 410 points mostly at OKW, but I would like to stay at BLT for a few nights while it still has that new resort smell.

I am thinking of buying, for cash, a 27 point BLT contract which will allow me to stay in a one bedroom lake view, my favorite, in January for 2 or 3 nights every 2 or 3 years.

Have any of you bought such odd numbered contracts? What was your reason? Do they have less resale value? Any problems in purchase or record keeping, etc?

Add-ons (and initial point purchases) above the required minimum can be for any number of points. Having 25 or 27 is not going to make any difference as to recordkeeping or resale value.

We are planning on buying just 56 points for 2 weekday nights in a LV 1BR every Dec. or Jan. We will then move on over to the BWV for the rest of the stay, probably 6 or 7 more nights. DH isn't thrilled about spending almost $6300 just to stay at BLT for two nights once every year, but I always find it such a hassle to get to and return from the MK, I think it will be worth it. Plus, we never go to the MK more than twice anyway, so I think it will be perfect. I wanted to buy the first day it was offered, but DH says there's no rush and we can get it in Dec. when we are there. To be perfectly honest, I had to do a lot of talking him into it just to get him to buy the two nights, so I know there's no point in pushing him to buy more.

Not crazy. I have also figured up that 38 points at BLT would be enough for a LV Studio for 4 n. in January (thinking Fri-Tues over MLK weekend) every other year.

I have been tyring to talk DH into an add-on at AKV forever...IF we did add-on we would probably do a strange amount like 59 points which is enough for a week in a Savannah view studio in the Dream season every other year. That same amount of points could also be used for 4 nights (Fri-Tues) in January EVERY year OR a 2 bedroom for 4 n in Dream season every other year OR you get my drift...so even though it's an odd lot we could work it different ways. If I never talk him into an add-on at AKV then I'll shoot for Ko 'Olina - and again, would only add on enough points for every 3 years or so there since the cost of airfare would be so high...

But back to your question....to me, that's what an add-on is for....small weird lots that accomplish exactly what you're looking for wherever you purchase them!

Question....if you don't buy at least 100 points tho you have to pay the full $112 / point, right?

I started a thread about this topic a few months ago, and it didn't get a big response. But, we do have a 52 point contract at HH to enable us 4 nights in a studio or 2 nights in a 1BR during the summer months. Funny enough, until this upcoming summer, we've never used the points at HH, so we are thinking of selling. i am hoping the strange # (52) might draw some positive attention on the resale market.

I did this with my AKV points--I wanted enough to do a few nights every few years at CL. I bought 30 points on my Disney VIsa card and paid it off over 6 months with no interest. IF I cared about BLT I'd do the same thing!

I have a 51 pt contract at OKW, originally purchased so we could spend 3 nights in a grand villa every 3 years, but after the first stay, we went out and purchased 270 points so we could stay every year or two. Now we are thinking of selling the 51 points, since we don't really need it anymore. We love that GV, though.;) We also have 26 points at BW, for a studio for 2 nights, and that one we don't really need anymore either, since we also went out and bought another BW contract of 250 pts.:goodvibes

I have a 72-point contract at BCV, as well as a 33-point contract at BCV.

We bought 50 points to use every Three years to stay four nights during the week in a one bed room
