Diamond Celebration: 24 Hour Event @ Disneyland Resort May 22-23!

A first (well...second for the t-shirt) look at the 24-hour Day shirt and pin. The "biggest" bit of info about the shirts is that the blog post indicates there will be "youth" sizes (which were not available for the pre-order). There will also be event cupcakes (like last year), so there should be another blog post soon on that!

Thanks for posting figment! I like the pin better than the t-shirt, but I don't really like most of the Disney t-shirts in general. I wonder how long the pins will last if they are limited edition. I heard last year they gave out buttons to everyone. If they are doing that again I'd be just as happy with something like that as my 24hr souvenir :)

They gave out buttons to folks that car-pooled and they had buttons advertising the upcoming Maleficent movie at the turnstiles. I didn't see any other buttons last year...

I really wanted a shirt for the event but that Dopey shirt just isn't my style :sad1: a button would be cool:o

Can you believe it's only one week away?

When i saw that funnel cake, my mouth started watering. Not so sure about the blue ice cream sandwich though.

I'm hoping that these foods will be available all day on the 22nd/23rd! So many things were only available for a limited time last year, so it was tough to try very many of them. I only saw a time period associated with the Breakfast Burrito, so hopefully everything else will available all day long!

(Although, I did think it was interesting that they listed some of the standard menu items as well. For example, the items listed for the French Market are available normally, so they aren't really special for the 24-hour day.)

Oh everything looks great! Wish the was prices where available, I need to budget for this lol. The funnel cake looks amazing. 7 more days, it has come so fast!

I noticed that too! I'm really not that tempted by the special 24hr menu, except for the chicken and waffles. I hope those will be offered early in the day on the 22nd!

My guess is that there will be a drop in park attendance after fireworks ends, but there might be another uptick as guests viewing WoC leave DCA and head to DL to see the second parade. I don't think capacity crowds will be an issue at 10:00 pm anymore, but lines to get into DL might be long(ish) after the second WoC ends.

Question for you... we are from Portland 67 is a nice day for us this time of year. That is the projected temp for Friday. How do you think this will effect the locals. I assume the die hards will be there, but in general is this a cold day and will this keep some people at home?

Also where do we find the daily paper events sheet at DL and CA? Want to know where to look for them when we walk in?

67 is not really considered cold. I grew up near Portland. My mom visits me in N. CA (and Vegas previously) and she wears shorts when its 65. I don't because I think it is a little cool out. But certainly not cold. It wouldn't stop me or anyone I know from going outside and doing something.

If you mean the entertainment schedule they are with the maps where the CM scans your tickets.

67 is actually perfect temperature for a DL trip for most locals. Disneyland tends to feel 5-10 degrees warmer than the temperature. So 67 is not too hot or cold. Certainly not going to have much impact on crowds.

I want to go about 1 or 2:00 in the morning, I have a previous engagement earlier that evening, but I don't want to miss out on such a special event..

Hello all, I just registered here to ask this question so I apologize if Im breaking any 'new user protocol' =]

Does anybody know if there will be fast passes given out for the 3am World of Color show?

I have carthay reservations for the normal time showings, but I had no idea there was a 3am show and all the dining reservations for that showing are gone by now unfortunately. Seeing the 3am show would make it feasible to see the Disneyland Forever show and World of Color in the same visit so if anybody knows any information I would really appreciate it =]

I just saw that the entertainment schedule is posted for Friday! For the early Saturday morning times they are listed for Saturday( like the 1 am paint the night).

It's confusing when they split the day like that...I can see how the system would do that, but it makes for a little bit weird reading. Given that the times are the same as what has been listed on the Australian website for a while, I would go with that format because everything for the 24-hour day is one page:

:welcome:
Last year they had FPs for the last WoC showing, so I would guess that they'll do the same thing for this year's 24-hour day.

I asked the same question & didn't really get an answer. I think because they are having WOC dining packages & they haven't said any differently it's safe to say a FP is needed. I'm going to go get in line for FP & hope to pull a 3am one. Probably by the time I get there as I'm not getting there until around 9am I will have a good chance of getting one.

Yeah, I asked when I was there a couple of weeks ago and no one could answer whether or not a FP would be needed for the 3AM. Best guess is yes. My plan is to shoot over to DCA around 9 or 10 just to grab a pass. If I get a 3AM, great. If not, I guess I'll be skipping WoC. But, in my case I'm not the biggest fan of WoC anyway, so no big deal.
